All-Time Post of Forever (#1)
NJ49er
says:
September 7, 2011 at 7:40 pm (Edit)
I see this Season starting with lots of motion and ground attack.
Our OL is going to take time to adjust to the new system, however, a WCO should help them once Alex and the WRs get into the necessary rhythm.
Game 1, lots of Gore and Hunter, 9ers win a close one. I do expect Harbaugh to take some deep shots though, VD and Braylon will be a nice duo.

“good guys?” That’s a good one.
its called humor dennis.
Hence my comment. I was laughing.
Well this should be interesting, both D’s have missing parts, this should be a good game. Niners 27 – Dallas 14. The other ting is, if Dallas D is as bad as everyone (ESPN, NFL network) says then this would be a great game to try things on offense. Deep passes…well any kind of a passing game really!
Alex Smith trailing at home 17-3 to Jake Locker.
I hope Spit doesn’t run out of Kleenex.
He’s so good he’s now leading the Titans to victory, too. Good thing the Chiefs were able to keep their kicker to knock in those FGs with the cash they saved on Smith’s deal. Oh, he’s wearing the other guys’ uniform today.
inactives: RT Anthony Davis, QB Josh Johnson, CB Chris Cook, WR Quinton Patton, DL Quinton Dial, DL Tank Carradine, G Marcus Martin
Sure glad we kept JJ as our 3rd QB so he could be inactive each week.
Who needs ST players anyway?
C. Patterson with an amazing run for a TD. Spit’s really jizzing all over himself now.
And Alex just threw another INT. Get that man some vitamin E!
Chuck’s team is on steroids today i think. I picked a bad week to give up laudanum and absinthe.
The Future President’s getting beaten in Miami.
Tenn. has a new HC. When I saw them play NO in preseason, Locker looked like a new man and it wasn’t your momma’s Titans.
And he’s losing millions of voters out here in California.
Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but as I type Alex Smith is 1 for 10 on 3rd dns.
His agent is a fucking genius. $68M? hahahahahaha!
OK, I guess I better get in my game day prediction prior to kickoff. You guys know the routine by now. No reason we shouldn’t put up at least 35 on this historically bad Allas team. But, what about our D? Not so fast my friend to steal from Lee Corso. Pts galore today as I’ve been saying since spring to bet the OVER in this game. 36-33. How bout dem Cowboys!
11-4-1.
Game on!!!
Chuck has Matty Icicle, who had a career high passing in beating the Saints. The UFO Coyotes will be back next week, but dang we need alotta work on D.
Skuta!
14:05 1st qtr, LOL!
Brass Knuckles 7, Allas 0
I’ve seen worse starts. 😛
Knuckles!
Love it
OK. I think A. Brooks has that play down pat. Enough of that shit.
Wow, what an F’ed up call on Dez.
Brooks should change uniform
Three flags for Brooks already. And our D hasn’t shown me shit so far…
Good stand
Thats what Kap brings
Vernon tried his best to drop that ball. I almost went through the plasma.
Quick screen and empty backfield 4 wide first two plays, then bunched and two HUGE passes. I got Vernon, too little too late.
4 passes, 80 yards. 0 runs.
A passing game!! The Niners have a passing game!! 😱😱😱
Did I say Allas has an historically bad D? I think I’ll have to upgrade or downgrade it,however you want to look at it, to a D-isaster of biblical proportions.
Ooooo almost 7 more.
Wow what a run from Reid
!!!!! Reed!
Still no running play. 2 TD VD
I think I can go feed my ducks early today. Niners doing their best Secretariat impersonation — moving like a tremendous machine.
CB looking like an endangered species
We’re not gonna have any secondary left – Brock, Culliver…
Had the ball on 94 seconds that quarter. We suck at time of possession. 😀
Need to get a hat on Murray, suckers running at 6 yd a clip
Run DMC is the bomb
Eloquent as ever.
3rd pick so far, Romo is choking early this year.
OOPS, meant TO
I know. He thinks it’s the 4th Q already. He needs to pace himself on those picks. Save some for later.
Almost got his 33 first carry
Romo had a guy wide open in the EZ, too. Looked at him, looked at him, scrambled instead
Q!
Just wondering where these new WR are at?
O line playing like a bunch of twats
VD hold, Sack, Staley hold…not good.
Andy Lee team MVP again? Ward makes his mark too.
Cmon Niners get a safety
Check out the under carriage on Caroline Wosniacki, extremely porkable
Is she a tight end?
Dennis your boy Romo is in post season form already.
They shoulda drafted Johnny Football.
Keep the hammer down, no let up, score again before the half.
Every D in the NFL knows the ball is going to LMJ every time he’s in the backfield.
deja vu all over again. We just won’t open it up
Nice play call
ok then
Carlos!!!!
# wr left opens the field, Carlos TD
3
great way to start your career
yeah it is, kid looks dynamic.
Carlos Hyde is about a 1000 times better than Frank Gore (at this stage in Frank’s career). Maybe 2000.
Kaepernick looks great.
One of the few games where time of possession doesn’t mean a helluva lot, other than reverse of the usual meaning…
Same play to open the second half?
Frank Gore sucks.
I saw that run to Gore coming before the snap. They’re telegraphing again.
I hate it when we do that.
Miscommunication
Congratulations, Frank. Now hit the bench….. forever.
Gore must be right around 10,000 yds now.
No small feat
Better to be lucky than good
red flag
3rd down conversions: Kap 5-7 thus far. Alex Smith 1-12. And a lot of Niner fans wanted to stick with Alex. I wanted to stick it to Alex alright…
We’re up by 25 and Harbaugh’s losin’ it on the sideline and yelling at the officials over that last call on the INT/fumble.
And you people wonder why he loses all the big games?
The Cowboy sticking it to the Cowboys.
I touch myself with regularity.
Time for a Niner drive and score, been a while
Nobody takes the air out of the football better than Harbaugh with a lead.
By Air you mean the pass?? Yes he does, does it every game, does not matter if it is a 1 point game or a 25 point lead game!! No guts no glory
Frank Gore is soooooooooo awful.
I like big butts and i cannot lie
I’m not seeing these Niner illegal contact penalties, nor that one supposedly on Lloyd. The Cowboy defender wrapped HIM up. WTF is this officiating?…
Who’s worse? Tony Romo or Frank Gore?
Time for Gore to go the way of Alex Smith, “concussion”
Tell ya what Spit if you think Gore sucks ,take a hard look at Romo who’s done!
Great to have a guy like Hyde waiting in the wings though, dude runs hard with power!
Hyde is the real deal, makes something out of nothing. Kicker looks about the same as pre season.
Dawson: you mother fucking cocksucking shit stain
Hyde needs to get 2X as many touches as Gore per game, at least. Hyde should be starting ASAP. As far as LMJ goes, what good is he — as everyone says, the D knows whenever he’s in that he’s getting the ball…
Jimbo needs to grow a pair for end of games, the Niners could have put this game away , but no they went to run only!! Harbaugh is going to lose games doing that shit!!
Niner rope a dope is near unwatchable…
Frank Gore is the one who’s unwatchable. I can’t wait for Frank Gore to be playing on another football team.
I miss the Walsh days big time in games like this. Up 28-3 at half, Walsh would have put pedal to the medal in the 3rd quarter and got to 45 points ASAP to break the back of a turd opponent like this. Harbaugh just screws around when up early. To me it’s not conservative, it shows to me no confidence in the offense. And, it stresses the defense with more plays for no good reason…
Exactly my thoughts Snarkk. No guts, no glory!!
Dallas is terrible. Chicago is a better version of Dallas. Good offense, suckage defense. But, I wouldn’t expect Cutler to throw stupid picks like Romo to hand the Niners points. Could be tough if the D backfield is still hurt from today…
Congrats, Chuck. 292.5 pts. with 6 players yet to play???? Freakin’ unreal. Dennis, what’s the record?
Not bad for my first live draft. Suck on that spitty.
Del’s league means nothing. That’s why I left.
Solid win, O looked much improved, found Gore’s replacement, Kap went through his progressions and made good decisions. Better play designs and better play calling.
Niners D sold out to stop the pass, left the run D a bit vulnerable. DB’s got injured but backups played well. Justin picked up 2 sacks. Fangio is the man.
Andy Lee was awesome, Dawson not so much.
The refs were beyond atrocious. They took away a TD, and gave Dallas one as well. The score shouldn’t have been near as close.
All in all. I did like the aggressive play calling.
Cutler is nearly as bad as Romo. Worse at times. I’m not too worried about Chicago itf they can’t beat Buffalo at home.
The flags in the NFL are a joke. This is a travesty.
BLEEP SHIT!
Too bad we didn’t play nearly as well in the second half. And as was mentioned earlier, we shouldn’t have taken our foot off the gas until well into the fourth quarter.
Chicago biggest problem was the brand of grease the receivers put on their hands.
Well, the refs took away a few big plays of ours, and the Dallas TD drive in the 2nd half had 4 3rd down penalties called on it. They were all bad calls. Can’t be too disappointed with the D although they went soft in the 2nd half.
I’m concerned about the CB injuries. Dontae played pretty well though
The call on Lloyd nullifying the play to VD was criminal. That zebra should be sent back to calling semi-pro so he can get the crap beat out of him in the parking lot after the game.
Yeah, that was a. stupendously bad when the illegal use of hands calls on us that were not even close as bad as that. The opposite way.
The Cowboys were inept and stupid. Nice win as Harbaugh dicked around in the second half. This was damn near a practice game. It had that feel. Romo wasn’t ready to play. No preseason and no practicing makes Tony a bad boy. And Kaep was bored. It was too easy for him. Ho-hum a win.
The Cowboys are terrible. I was hoping we’d learn more about our team today. One thing we did learn is that Carlos Hyde should be our every down back.
He looked good, but maybe we should see him against a run defense once or twice first.
Fair enough. Will Chicago’s work for you?
Not if they can’t tackle any better than they did today. Let’s give it till the bye.
Just read that the NFL Network is reporting Harbaugh has lost the locker room. What a joke. Q steps up to the microphone after the game and says Harbaugh’s the only reason he came back. You watch the veterans on the sidelines like Justin Smith, Frank Gore and Patrick Willis, and everyone is engaged and playing hard. It’s a far cry from the Nolan days when players were pulling themselves off the field and finding reasons not to practice. That’s losing the locker room.
And why is this coming from the NFL Network? It’s because the owners see that they can’t control Harbaugh’s contract. With players, the owners control contracts with things like the salary cap and franchising players. But the owners have no control over Harbaugh, so why not attack him with the owners’ network? What’s Harbaugh’s recourse? He can’t do anything about it unless he wants to coach back in college or the CFL. This is a conspiracy. Why did the story come out before the first game on the NFL Network? The owners are attacking Harbaugh because Harbaugh won’t sign the deal they collectively have put in front of Harbaugh. It’s not Jed York giving Harbaugh a crappy contract that Harbaugh’s turning down. It’s Jed York looking at comparables and hoping he doesn’t piss-off his fellow team owners, insulting Harbaugh with a deal that’s beneath a man who’s developed maybe the best young qb in the game. Remember what happened when Vernon Davis was drafted? The 49ers overpaid him and the rest of the league owners showed their displeasure publically with Jed York.
Harbaugh’s not going to stay in SF. The owners and media are driving him out. It’s a shame Jed York isn’t strong enough to control the situation to keep Harbaugh. You want to see the future of the 49ers? Just look to the Stanford Cardinal. David Shaw’s a good man, but the Cardinal get worse every year until finally they’ll be back to the Pac 10 doormat they were pre Harbaugh in a year or two. Same will happen with the 49ers. The NFL is all about coaching. There aren’t many good coaches around which drives up their value unless…. To keep the money from going to the players and coaches, the owners are smart about how the control revenue. And don’t kid yourself about the lengths the owners will go to to control revenue.
One other point about this…. if Harbaugh really was losing the 49ers’ locker room, the story first would be reported by the Sac Bee or the Press Democrat. Those guys know the team better than anyone. Maiocco’s on the payroll. Lowell Cohn (sp?) would love a story like this. Barrows won’t love it, but he’d report it.
That was a BR report from 3 weeks ago that some hack from CBS reran.
This morning a report came out on NFL.com.
They are basing it on the same shit from BR 3 weeks ago. Unnamed vets were tired of practice.
Likely the Walmart brigade.
Did you read it? Doesn’t seem like it. And anyway, why would the NFL Network give it legs on the 49ers’ opener if it’s a 3 week old story?
It’s a new story from 2 national reporters, similar to the cojecture of the BR guy from a few weeks ago but with “insider sources. Sounds like player grumbling. Don’t think there is much more to it though.
conjecture
Bitching about staying in Baltimore for practice I can see from vet players. That’s a long way from saying Harbaugh is losing the locker room. I do think Harbaugh’s schtick is getting old and his credibility is eroding. Keep winning and all will be fine.
“Who’s got it better than us,” is soooooo tired.
But he deserves $12 mill a year?
Harbaugh’s worth 15 million per year. What do you care? It’s not your money.
There’s nothing new in either the cBS article or the NFL.com one.
Why? Why do you think, Spitty? To generate hits. To get readers
Yep, that’s what they do. Any hint of a disgruntled grumble from the locker room the reporters will exploit to impress their bosses and stir the shit to whip up a controversy among the fans.
The player grumbling refers to the same player grumbling after the Balt practices. This isn’t new grumbling
Yup but with “insider sources”
