Be still my heart. Coming down to the wire here. The Niners, looking to keep the quest for 6 alive, have looked unbeatable and unwatchable like clockwork. Every 3 weeks they lay a fresh turd after coing up roses for 2 weeks. Inconsistency is their only constant. The D has been dominating until it hasn’t. The offense has been record-breaking and TV-breaking. The run game is here and gone. The passing game remains an enigma no matter who is behind center.
Green Bay on the other hand seems to be riding the wave of solid football, going 10-2 in their last 12 games after a 2-3 start. They appear to be peaking at the right time despite their loss to Minn on the road to knock them out of the 2 seed. Aaron Rodgers is Aaron Rodgers. Outlandish numbers (4,295 / 39 / 8), and some of his throws last weekend were flat crazy. Throwing lasers on the run for 35 yards, the usual. They even seems to have discovered a diamond in the parking lot with the addition of RB DuJuan Harris.
Still, GB has a defense that really isn’t all that impressive. They give up yards in the air and they give up yards on the ground. Their WRs are banged up, and they give up a lot of sacks. The Niners at least got the break they needed. They were pretty gassed after that marathon NE game, and staggered down the stretch. The effectiveness of Justin Smith remains a question, and the run game is something that needs to get going early to provide a lift to the play-action passing game.
But still and all, I like the Niners chances. I think the Niners can get to Rodgers with their base pass rush. Disguise a blitz here and there to force a turnover or 2. I think the offense should be able to get the job done vs Green Bay’s D.
Flav, I read your blog today. First time in months. I really enjoyed your thread. Great Roger Craig story. Was compelled to comment, but if anything, you and everyone else should know by now — I believe in jinxes. I was not about to make my first comment on the Flap in many a moon and jinx the Niners. I can’t. I won’t. Homey don’t play that. Feel free to let Flappers know that Golden Gate Dennis picks the Niners to win 31-21.
“So let it be written. So it shall be done.”
It’s cool. We’re cool too, come back anytime
Un……Believable.
See. This is the conservative shit coaching that kills teams. DEN elects to run the ball instead of letting Manning try and get the 1st dn and ice the game, but end up punting and giving BAL the all who subsequently ties up the game on a long bomb.
Conservative coaching = losing coaching. And more importantly, you DESERVE to lose.
Holy Fuck Denver!!! Unfucking.believable.How the fuck can you allow a bomb in that sitiuation??????????
Hold it Ravens scored?
That is some seriously eff’d up defense.
And now John Fox elects to take a knew with still TWO timeouts and Peyton Manning at QB.
He should die. Fuck him and his cunting daughter.
Geez…guess Bronco’s really want to lose this game..2 TO Peyton Manning 31 sec.Takes a fucking knee??BS
John Fox is a motherless son of a fuck. I hope they kill his first born male child.
Thin the herd. Thin the motherfucking herd.
The NFL does not know how to schedule games!! LMAO. People are going to be leaving that game to watch the Niners!! Stupid not to plan for OT for playoff games, but no they the NFL does not want a break between gamesno lag time!! Dumb asses! Oh wait greedy dumb asses!! How many here are sticking with the Denver game???
Kev, I wholeheartedly agree. The NFL should put this game on hold until the Ravens and Broncos finish. Wouldn’t hurt a thing. Do what’s best. I think they’re waiting…good for them.
Did they fire John Fox yet?
Fucking mook.
Seriously. If the Broncos lose in OT, John Fox should be drawn and quartered.
It would be the first time he understood anything about the word containing “quarter.”
Mook.
So much for hoping they’d hold off the Niner game…Let’s go!!!!
Complete to Crabs!!!!!
The more I see of Ray Lewis, the more I think he should rot in hell for taking part in a double murder. Fuck 52!!!
What a stupid fucking throw.
Son of a fuck. That throw was inexcusable. Across his body and cross field.
Did we sign Peyton Manning yet?
Okay get ready going straight to a run heavy offense because of that pic 6!!! Mark my words! Gore, Gore and more Gore now!!
That’s one way to keep Rodgers off the field
Now that was more like it. Great touch on that pass by Kap. Settle down now.
And Joe Staley gets beat by Clay Matthews once again. Pro Bowl my ass.
