At least I hope so. Busy weekend, so I’m getting this up early. Anyhow, I think this game will be the unveiling of the deep passing game. One that hasn’t clicked with Crabby Crabs. The NFL Network guys had a laugh at the expense of young Sir Alex by saying he can’t hit the deep ball, but he should continue to throw to the wide bodies (Staley and Ice, whose name no one seems to know how to pronounce) and forget going deep. Ha ha. Whatever. All this kind of shit works in the Niners favor, as it fuels the disrespect angle that coaches like to use as a motivating tool.
Game at hand? Well, the one thing Washington has going for them is decent pass coverage. This game will be (I think) one where the Niners come out running to bring up the safeties, and THEN go deep. The Washington offense is a definite work in progress. They’ve been decimated by injuries up front, and they gave up 10 sacks to the Bills last week. This does not bode well for Washington. They benched Gross Rexman in favor of Beck, but look for the return of Grossie if things don’t go well. I’d imagine they are going to try quicker passes to get the ball out of Beck’s hands faster than our rush, but we’ll see. Their run game is middling, but with Hightower out, it’s even worse. Matt Millen was gushing over our front 7, calling it the best in the league and they all felt the Niners take it. I of course feel the same way, and I think Braylon Edwards has a big day. The 1st 100 yard game by a Niner WR since when, the Garcia days?
Perfect pass by Smith… TD Niners!
Wow. Wheel route for Miller. Nice.
Beautiful TD pass.
A 13 point lead is solid at the half. One more score and it’s over.
Yep. Agree
Nice strip by Willis. TD Miller! That’s one more than Moran Norris will ever score.
Ginn got away with a pick there.
Smith was lucky that the ball wasn’t dropped, it had a little wiggle at the end there..
LQTM
On the MIller TD? Missed it
I do Denny’s play-by-play when he goes for ice..
Wait that’s SARC
If Alex had waited a little longer for the TD pass, the ‘Skins wouldn’t have had time for the FG. Mook.
You’re starting to do a pretty good Del Mar there twin
“Often imitated, never duplicated.”
We’ve squelched their offense the entire first half until that final Skins’ drive when we went into the prevent defense and it yields the Redskins’ first and only score of the game.
I swear to Christ if I ever meet the guy who invented that prevent defense (if he’s still alive) I’ll kill that motherfucker. There. I’ve made my death threat for the day. That should keep you guys happy.
True. I mean the part about us letting them score with the “prevent”
Miller is the real deal. Great block there.
VD. That’s why you ain’;t the guy you think you are.
Drop!
Just took them out of FG range,
Stupid shit right there.
There was your downfield pass Chuck
On the fucking money, and VD drops it.
Sure it wasn’t Alex’s fault? sarc
If Smith would have only thrown it 2″ lower, VD would have caught it.
Gotta blame the QB on that one.
Good eye, yep it’s the fucking QB.
How’s your matchup with Rob going? I’m superstitious. I tend not to look at the scores while the games are being played.
He got out to a big lead but I’m closing it down to 10 points or so. I don’t see how he can lose tho
Reggie Bush is having a big day for me in KC sorta like S Jackson and the Rams vs the Saints last week
D playing run and pass good as usual
Tony Romo just threw a TD. [fireworks go off at Del Mar’s place]
Garrett red-flagged it just to make sure it was Romo that threw it.
haha good one
Hey, Chuck made a funny. Something tells me your wife is filling in for you on the blog today. She’s the one with the sense of humor. She has to be. She married you.
Great throw by Smith there under pressure.
Nice drive, but no TD. It ain’t pretty, but so far it’s effective.
Game isn’t quite over, but it’s really hard to imagine this Redskin team scoring two TDs in less than a fortnight.
Death threats on the Internet? Dennis peek out your window, are there a bunch of guys with FBI stenciled on their jackets out side? HLS? See you on the news Dennis.
