Shanny has already said that he doesn’t need a ‘Julio Jones type’ guy, but everyone in the league seems to think ODB’s a perfect fit here. I get it, I just don’t think he’s worth what he thinks he is. Or what the Giants think he’s worth.
My only thought is that John Lynch is trying to drive up the asking price for the Rams and Seahawks. I like Lynch being aggressive, but this one isn’t a good thing. I’d rather draft a guy than go after Ol’ Dirty Beckham.

It all depends on which QB Cleveland wants. I think the Giants trade out of the 2 spot to team that wants a QB. So that mean Barkley is there at 4. So if Cleveland pinpoints a particular QB they will take him at 1. Barley is a game changer but not as much as a franchise QB.
I’m thinking all this ‘smoke’ from Cleveland related to Josh Allen is curious WInder.
Allen (to me) isn’t Top Pick worthy. Stats that scare me, his poor record against better Defenses.
McCloughan has been on record saying Mayfield is his guy. Hands down.
Given all the Picks Cleveland has at their disposal, they should get this QB Pick right after all these years. Can’t buy Allen as the Savior, unless they gamble and wait on him.
But, then again, it’s Cleveland for a reason. They’re notoriously poor at filling the QB position.
I think the NYG could be tempted to deal out, I just don’t think Buffalo would sell out to leap-frog the NYJ?
Certainly has some intrigue to it, as both Buffalo and NYJ are QB needy and, big time in-State rivals.
NJ- Could be right. Allen is a study in progress and has the potential to really be a special NFL QB. It won’t happen this year and may never happen.I think McClouhan is the one blowing the smoke, that’s what he’s been doing for years. Anyway, I never get the draft right. With Scotty McLiquor in the fold, I think Cleveland gets this right. If Scotty’s blowing smoke for Allen, it is to get the Giants/Jets to bite on him. That would leave Darnold or Rosen for the Browns at 4. With a guy like Barkley, the QB won’t have to be super spectacular. Just able to move the chains and hand the ball off.
Very happy we aren’t a part of this clusterfuck at QB.
