Jed’s Dead, Baby! Jed’s Dead . . . !

img_2961This is my son and I yesterday at the game. While it is a vast improvement of my looks, I was surprised not to see more dissension. Must have had about 50-60 people ask to take our picture. Walking to my car, we got a lot of honks and thumbs ups.

Futile protest? Sure. But what else is there? Not going? My son wanted to see a game at the new digs, so we did it. Our last game was in 2013. Who knew that was the beginning of the end? At best the stadium was a little over half full. Even on the shady side. For a stadium that is brand new and a team that is 3 years removed from the NFC Championship game, this is a precipitous fall.

Bitch as you will about the QB situation, this team has so many holes it resembles Swiss cheese, minus the cheese. The ‘defense’ gave up another 150 + rushing performance to recent couch surfer Jaquizz Rodgers. And 250 total rushing yards on their way to 513 total these last TWO games.

As is with recent games, we seem to own the first quarter. The opening kickoff was a near perfect drive as Kaepernick and co drove 75 yards in 6 plays, with Kappy going 2-2 for 41 yards, and CK getting 7 on a run with Mike Davis sealing the deal with 12 yards and the score (plus a 15 yard headhunting call). The teams traded punts until Gerald Hodges picked off a tipped pass at the TB 38 and ran it to the TB 17. One play later it was 14-0 as CK fired a bullet to Shaun Draughns in the front corner of the end zone.

14-0 at the end of the first quarter. You know the rest. We were outscored 34-3 for the rest of the game. Kappy threw a stupid pick to kill a drive. VMcD was covered like a blanket and Kappy threw it to the DB. Streater killed the next drive with a drop on 3rd and 2. The high-powered Shit Chipper offense then started throwing 4 yard passes. all to no avail as the half ended.

Still and all, we were only down 17-14, and we stopped TB on their opening drive to the 3rd. Of course Mo and Kerley muff the punt giving the Bucs the ball back. Another potential drive was killed by a 15 yard drop by VMcD and the defense kept failing. The Niners get a little drive going, and elect to kick a FG, which  I thought was stupid as it still left us down 2 scores. It looked even dumber when we gave up a 44 yard TD run to the TB mascot. And they don’t even have one.

Chuck that bag adds to your presence. I’m sure the bloggers over at Skeebers will enjoy it. Who knows……this may catch on at Levi’s. Each loss only adds to the bag movement.

    • Winder's avatar Winder says:

chuck- Nice bags, looks like you put in a little effort. I haven’t caught a game in SC yet, maybe someday. However someone would have to give me a ticket, I wouldn’t pay to go see this team. Hopefully, we will be in Oregon by this time next year, maybe then.

  2. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

And like clockwork, the playpen is lamenting the QB spot now. AFter Gabbert leads the team to a 1-4 record, the sole blame for the team’s ineptitude is Kaepernick. That protest is fracturing the team.

Yeah, we’d be 6-1 with Gabbert quarterbacking, and Colin standing up.

Bunch of fucking brain-dead idiots. If I didn’t know any better I’d think those guys run the fucking team.

    NoFear is Jed.
    Phil is Trent Balke.
    Buwwitt is Paraag Marathe
Spitblood is the ghost of Bob St. Clair.

I’m nearly done with this as I don’t see a very bright future. I also don’t want to become a whiny bitch site like Skeebie’s. These losses are hard to take at this point because we aren’t doing anything about the front office problems and we haven’t for 3 years now.

Harbaugh wanted out. Got it? He saw the writing on the wall be the end of the 2013 season. He used this stop as a placeholder til he got the Michigan job. It worked out unbelievably well for him what with the talent he inherited and the success he had. Baalke wasn’t helping him at all with his drafts, and he wouldn’t have done much better than these last 2 guys given the talent drain.

    The Niner season……….BOO HOO!

Hey where is the pic of the 3 of us!! Nice to meet up with you and your family, you have two great kids!!

  5. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Yeah, they are great kids. My oldest is having much more fun in Hawaii right now. She left on Saturday. . . .

Here it is!! Hanging with you was about the best part of that shitty shitty game.

The fucking stand are empty and this is halftime.

  6. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

Sorry, Chuck, don’t swing that way. Maybe Nipper can help you out.

What’s any player supposed to do? He’s in there and he’s got to play. Stating that either guy is padding his stats is ridiculous (talking to you and Berger). First of all the words padding stats should never be used referring to any 49er because there ain’t no padding. You have spoken more highly of Kap more than others these days, and whether that’s because he’s a better option than Gabbert (highly debatable) or not, both guys are stinking up the greater Santa Clara region these days. I take that to mean that you are still behind him as a viable option moving forward, at least for this season.

Best case scenario as far as I’m concerned is that he and Baalke walk hand in hand off into the distant sunset immediately after the final whistle of the season, never to be seen again. At this point, I’m in fan limbo. There’s nothing to root for, this franchise is in as bad a shape as it has been in years, maybe ever. Injuries are piling up as are the embarrassing losses.

There’s talk on Seattle talk radio today of the Seahawks possibly dealing a first round pick for Staley. Their O-line is as bad as the Niner’s D-line is.

    • Berger's avatar Berger says:

I used to be a huge Kap fan until he asked for a trade. If he came in and played great I could jump back on the bandwagon. I don’t see that happening and would really just like to see him go away.

  7. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

I have no doubt that if the Niners do deal Staley for a first rounder, and Baalke is still around, they’ll squander it yet again and not on a QB. This whole train wreck is discouraging and I have no confidence in Jed’s ability to make the decisions necessary to turn this thing around. He cannot be so stupid and his ego so big that he thinks he has a handle on things.

Time for him to somehow trick a top football man into the FO and then cede control of all football matters to him. If he keeps meddling, it’ll be years before anything good happens. It may be years anyway.

  8. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

No one in the building or on the team right now, with the possible exception of Navorro Bowman and Staley is worth a plug nickel.

Baalke should be gone already. They fact we are looking to deal pieces is all the more galling to me.

    Fuck Jed

    Fuck Baalke

Fuck the stadium. It has all the ambience of a doctor’s office waiting room.

Fuck Dr. Kedorkian and Denise Shitforbrains.

    Fuck this entire front office.

I know they are bad. I’ve known they are bad. But this seals the deal. The front office is pointing to the players for the reason this team stinks. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. Look in the mirror you ignorant turd burglars.

Baalke gets to trade guys now? Shit. I guess isn’t really a bad thing since he’s pretty good at getting draft picks for later use. But it’s what he does with them that has me furious.

    We’re in bat country now . . .

    • 12th man's avatar 12th man says:

Makes sense to me, Staley is 32 and still has 2nd round trade value, 1st for a desperate team. I hope they trade Kap, since his new contract that’s now a possibility and play Ponder the rest of the way. One placeholder is as bad as another.

Balked won’t survive beyond this season and if I’m Kelly I change DC asap although I read he is staying PAT, which is dumb IMO.

Easy does it John, none of us are happy with any aspect of the team top to bottom right now but we’ve been here before right?

      • ewisco's avatar ewisco says:

change DC sure, but for who(m?)? it’s not like there’s much of a choice mid-season.

      • 12th man's avatar 12th man says:

Fair enough but I would take Coco the Clown at this point. Promote the DB coach maybe, the team likes staying in house for it’s league wide searches.

  9. bigflavor's avatar Flavor says:

There is no way I’m hell anyone is paying a first or even a second round pick for Staley. That is all. Good day.

  10. Nipper's avatar Nipper says:

In conclusion: Sniff……..BOO HOO again. This season is over. The only thing left is a massive firing of everyone. . Jed is totally worthless.

  11. 12th man's avatar 12th man says:

Lisa D still taking shots at Jed:

  12. 12th man's avatar 12th man says:

Not to flog a dead horse but you guys see Kap wearing a Black Panthers shirt at his presser?

  13. NJ49ER's avatar NJ49er says:

    Nicely done Chuck 😀
Protesting is all the more enjoyable when there’s passion behind it.
At this point, it would appear that they’re committed to building around the Chip System so, clear the decks and have at it.
We’ll have our differences about the Baalke topic but, he’s got Gamble back in the mix, which, (I’m hoping), will produce better results than Paraag offered.
IMO, the HC/GM and Coaches have to have mutual input/common vision on what it is they’re attempting to build.
Joe deserves a better situation than he’s likely to see here during this process.
I’d suggest that Greg Cosell’s opinion on Garoppolo makes a ton of sense.
Good rapport between Chip/Baalke and Belichick too.
    Joe for Jimmy?
    Why not?

  14. NJ49ER's avatar NJ49er says:

I’ll forward some pics of my protest to you via email –

    • NJ49ER's avatar NJ49er says:

Beat me to it 12th, was just about to share that same link 😀
The fire sale has officially begun.

      • NJ49ER's avatar NJ49er says:

Neither Kaep, nor Gabbert, seems capable of finding the guy anyway.
Let’s see if this Chip Offense is actually worth anything going forward with Gamble and some high Picks coming their way.
It all starts with a QB that can run this thing for him, so, no WR is worth a rating until that move occurs anyway.

  15. Nipper's avatar Nipper says:

I bet some of you guys can post some pics of bags of your own on this blog that would be a hoot. Those pics would never appear on the “other” blog. They’re too concerned about politics.

  16. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Staley has a few good years left. If they are going fire sale, well i guess my weekends are just a little bit freer. Torrey SHOULD go somewhere. Anywhere. I guess he saved himself from damage by not ever getting hit.

  17. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Right, Nip. My son and I did the ‘Spike Mike’ thing a while back.

And yes, we’ve been here before.

  18. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Jesus. Nowhere but in the playpen is the kneel down even discussed.

A bunch of old biddies bemoaning the good old days when all the QBs were white.

Like it or hate it, Kaepernick’s kneel down has zero to do with this team’s record. This team sucks because the owner is a pathetic little shit hiding behind his GM.

Jed is still beholden to Daddy, so he has to listen to his input. Along with Paraag, and all the other middle management types clogging the works.

I’m still holding out hope that Steve Young and Brent Jones can somehow buy the team before 2030.
