For a team that’s 1-11, you’d think the Raiders would be the team with all the turmoil surrounding it. Well, not this year. The 7-5 Niners are still in the playoff race, needing a little help from whoever plays Seattle, Dallas, or Detroit. Seattle looks to have a battle on their hands, facing a strong 9-3 Philly team in their house, something Seattle struggles with at times. They seem to be getting healthyed up at the right time, though.
So I think our best shot is to hope for Dallas and Deetroit to fade down the stretch. Something very common for the inglorious bastard Tony Romo. Mr. October may just yet blow another playoff shot as they play Philly, Indy, and Washington. Detroit? Well, they look like a shoo-in with TB, Minn, and Chicago on their feastables, and GB to close it out.
The Niners? well, they need to take care of the Raiders, and then win in Seattle. If either of these don’t happen, well, it’s sure looking like the coaching staff will be a different one next year. So, their chances at this point are slim and none, and slim just hit the road.

My biggest question is a familiar one. Why when we are gaining about 6 yards per carry on first down do we change personnel every time and pass? I think if we stick to the run we win the game. We were running well but never used it to establish a rhythm. With so many focused on the QB struggling they are missing the bigger picture. What has regressed is this coaching staff.
Crazy thing is, Kappy played like the rookie and Carr played like the vet. WTF with Brooks? He missed a meeting so he;s benched? Think that may have played into the defensive flatness? This coaching staff seems hell-bent on alienating their own players.
Kappy sucked once again, but for the love of God can they come up with some plays that get guys open? They get one nice drive on short quick passes,so once again they stopped doing it. They went right back to fades and Kappy rolling left for some stupid ass reason. Gave up on the run,. No rhythm, no flow, no chance for anyone on offense to get on a roll. It’s maddening that we suddenly have an offense worse than anything that Jeff Hostler or Jimmy-Hat came up with.
And the defense was terrible. NO pressure, Fangio got burned the few times he blitzed and Borland/Wilhoite got abused covering Oakland’;s TEs, Oh well.

If I was Jed I would go to Baalke and tell him to get rid of Roman now and put someone in charge of the offense who will take control. I’m not even worried about the style of offense right now, just find me a leader who will take control. If Harby doesn’t like it tough, I’ll accept his resignation if he doesn’t want to fill the vacancy. As Mark Davis told Harbaugh before the game, he has become dysfunctional. I wouldn’t mind seeing Fangio or Tomsula in charge for the last three games anyway.
Even the most Ardent Harbaugh supporter has to see he has major dysfunction going on right now. How can that not affect the players.

Anyway, this is a good day. With the way we got handled today on both sides of the ball by the one win Raiders, this coaching staff is gone. We’ve had the best talent in the NFL for the last three years, according to most experts in the media, and not one Super Bowl trophy tom show for it. Next!
I still am in disbelief that Mark Davis told Harbaugh that he stole the Raiders dysfunction. Can’t be said from a higher source any better than that.
Brady had a lot of pressure today in the first half. He looked bad and was down 14-3. In the 2nd half he got plenty of time to throw and looked like Brady again and won the game. Funny how that works.

Is it me or does it seem Harbaugh is getting outcoached by every coach in our division who he has to see twice per year? I’m finally agreeing with NJ that Harbaugh is playing checkers while the others are playing chess.
It now looks that Harby knows the Singletary Sardine Can offense, directly from Univ of Michigan and not much else. Running that offense well did not produce a good offense. Trying an offense that makes sense didn’t work because the schemes sucked. The coach was in over his head. Sticking with Roman has proven to be Harby’s demise, just as I predicted. If the best a coach can run is the Singletary Sardine Can Offense he will always have problems scoring. We have just seen that fact play out. We’ve had injuries, like other teams, and now we see the coach doesn’t have the same shine without the best roster in the NFL. I believe Harby can coach but he is so hard headed he has met his end. This seems to happen to many first time coaches. They either learn or stay inflexible. Harbaugh will ,probably learn from this but if he thinks Roman is a good OC he will never be more than a coach with a winning record and no championships. He absolutely has to evolve his college offense mentality.

This offensive scheme has Kap rattled no doubt. The players are not calling out Kap, they are calling out the schemes. That is the coaching. This is a college offense.
If the coach kept to the run today it would have helped simplify and catch the rhythm we’ve been missing. The QB didn’t change the personnel after every 6 yard run. The QB didn’t get zero pressure on Carr. Between the coach pulling a power play on the owner and the players calling them out the schemes publicly think we can’t change the coaches soon enough. The coach is even being called dysfunctional by the opposing owner, to his face. IMO, this would affect any young QB.

NJ- That was good. Kap needs an OC that knows how to put together some rhythm. That is the number one thing to help his supporting cast. He also needs to work with one of those QB gurus this off season, like Whitfield or House. That part might be difficult since he will most likely be learning a new playbook. He’ll be fine if he can get with a good coach and system. He hasn’t started throwing off his back foot so he is not shell shocked yet but he might be getting close. Roman’s play calling is getting close to destroying him.
It’s 3:40 in the morning and I’m wide awake drinking some strong coffee. Yeah it’s over for sure.

The year isn’t terrible. Yeah, the Sharks choked a 3-0 lead in the play-offs and the 49ers window has closed. OTOH, my Giants won the World Series, the Warriors window has just opened and Greg Roman will soon be gone!
