For a team that’s 1-11, you’d think the Raiders would be the team with all the turmoil surrounding it. Well, not this year. The 7-5 Niners are still in the playoff race, needing a little help from whoever plays Seattle, Dallas, or Detroit. Seattle looks to have a battle on their hands, facing a strong 9-3 Philly team in their house, something Seattle struggles with at times. They seem to be getting healthyed up at the right time, though.
So I think our best shot is to hope for Dallas and Deetroit to fade down the stretch. Something very common for the inglorious bastard Tony Romo. Mr. October may just yet blow another playoff shot as they play Philly, Indy, and Washington. Detroit? Well, they look like a shoo-in with TB, Minn, and Chicago on their feastables, and GB to close it out.
The Niners? well, they need to take care of the Raiders, and then win in Seattle. If either of these don’t happen, well, it’s sure looking like the coaching staff will be a different one next year. So, their chances at this point are slim and none, and slim just hit the road.

This won’t be popular but I’m glad we lost. I like the way NJ explains it, we play checkers while the other team plays chess. We were out coached again. Or like Del says, we run a college offense.
I think what has happened is, since we run a college offense that lacks rhythm, a lot of the big plays we’ve had the last couple of years comes from Kap freelancing. Now that there is enough film other teams know the tendencies when Kap tries to make something happen and our checkers playing coaches have nothing designed to challenge the chess playing opponent. So the QB looks like he is regressing when what is really happening is our college offense has run it’s course. Time to change the HC since he would not change the OC. Let the new coach decide on the QB whether somebody new or Kap. It is obvious this coaching staff has nothing to offer in designing an offense to help a young QB other than teaching him to play checkers. We need a staff to teach chess.

Mark Davis told Harbaugh before the game that he stole their dysfunction. WOW! That’s one of the most startling things I ever remember an owner say to an opposing coach.

According to the Comcast Raiders beat reporter, he said Carr had by far his best game of the year. How does he have his “by far best game of the year” against us? It’s called having no pressure from the pass rush. While people are trying to compare QBs, to not notice the time he had to throw is not being rational. Felde and Dennis Brown talked about it on the post game show. Any QB with that much time to throw should have a good game.
True no pass rush but Carr repeatedly beat the blitz too. He had a heck of a game.
Carr did not beat the blitz, his blockers picked it up. I do remember one play where a LB applied some pressure but we gave him a clean lane up the middle to throw to a receiver open by 5 yards. He wasn’t challenged at any time tonight except a couple of 3rd and long plays where we forced him to throw short.
Flavor- Kap’s mechanics are out of sorts right now. He has had good mechanics in the past. A little good coaching would help him a lot right now. If I havew seen it for a few weeks how come the coaches have done nothing about it? Can you imagine Dave Rhigheti letting something like this get by him? Bill Walsh would certainly have done something about it by now.
The offensive schemes are bad, the rhythm is bad, the O-line is bad, Gore gets only 12 touches while averaging 5.3 yards per carry, we change personnel on almost every play, so why should the QB be the only shining light on offense. When has that ever happened. I think you’d have to go back to Archie Manning and didn’t even usually win.
