He Said, She Said . . . Nothing, Really

Well, TMZ comes across looking stupid in the Kappy affair. But do they care? No. They are merely a tool for generating buzz around the flimsiest of stories and generating hits on their web site.

Me? I wouldn’t stoop so low. Anyhow, the more that comes out about this, the less there is to the story. The girl said nothing happened. It appears that she got too high, and one of the 3, or any combination of them, took her to the hospital because they were worried about her. So, she naturally filed a police report 4 days later. Maybe she got mad that they didn’t stick around til she slept it off.

Since nothing happened, the hospital released her without any apparent injuries to report, and she herself admitted that Kaepernick didn’t bang her, what are the charges going to be? They let her party too much?

Granted, there are some question marks to deal with. How did she get to the hospital? Who signed her in? Any other drugs involved? Whatever. As it is, there are no charges filed, and no reason to expect anything to change. In the good old days, players could already be hanging out at team HQ lifting weights, shooting the shit, and trying to stay out of trouble. As it is now, teams can have no contact with players, and the facilities are off limits til later this month. So they are left alone to their own devices for too long?

The reason this seems fishy is these guys get drug-tested all the time (hello Brandon Browner), and pot isn’t something that gets out of the system quickly. It takes a month for a marijuana test to come back clean after smoking a joint. If these guys were doing bong rips, they’d certainly test positive for pot in the near future.

Unless the toxicology comes up with Darren Sharper’s drug of choice, Rohypnol, not sure if there’s anything here. Yet.

  2. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Thing is, she was tested for rape and they haven’t made a move. If there was evidence of sexual misconduct, they’d have these guys in for questioning.

So, it looks like nothing. Pending the tox report.

Yeah much ado about nothing but what the heck people like to talk. Same thing around here esp. on the off season. But no need to make it personal…unless you have a big Need to make it personal. Which some do evidently.

    Whatever

Manziel scored a 37 on the wonderlic. Parallels nicely with another smart, first round bust in Alex Smith. That’s about Del’s speed. He loves Alex Smith and smart qbs who can’t really cut it when the chips are down. Manziel, Tony Romo…. smart qbs like Smith. Del loves him some quarterbacking lemons.

    • phil fan's avatar philippinefan says:

      Alex is a BUST?

The thing I don’t get about Del Mar is his stance on religion = no sooner do I accuse him of being an atheist regarding a certain football team than he goes all “mark of the beast” on us proving some kind of belief system (even if it’s dislike for Jimi). Then when the Kapper caper comes down he’s all mother superior about the fallen morality of our once upon a time supposed choir boys. So which is it regarding Dennis? Is he:

      A) A choir boy
      B) An atheist
      C) A devil worshiper
      D) Mother Superior
      E) A contrarian to current popular beliefs
      F) Fucked up beyond belief
      G) A closet Niner fan
      H) A Niner hater
      I) A secret admirer of Alexander Douglas Smith
      J) Fill in the blank = there’s plenty of alphabet left

I’m going with E. Waddaya think?

  7. What’s the biggest thread killer?

    A) Tim Tebow reference
    B) Political persuasion debate
    C) Mentioning religion
    D) Niner party animals busted
    E) Off season dog daze
    F) All of the above

Or supply yer own thread killer suggestions. The Kaepernick caper (D) came at a bad time as we were still yammering on points A, B, C while also still in the middle of E. This is the fatal Blood Moon conjunction so dear to the hearts of certain religionists, I mean Bloggers, bloggers damn it.

    Lol really

In a case like this, a rape kit taken in the ER may be a matter of routine or possibly required by law. So, I don’t know if the taking of that procedure has any significance. At the least, it doesn’t look good with 3 guys and one girl in a hotel room, and she passes out. Other than than, more facts have to come out after the toxicology report for anyone to make conclusions. So, TMZ is just a scum outfit for reporting what they did, and if things are as he says they are, Kap might have a defamation suit to press. At minimum, Kap shows himself to be a dumbass to have this happen. Especially in today’s social media, cameras everywhere environment. I shudder to think what would have come out if this environment existed in the days of Hornung, Namath and the Snake…

Perfect score = 50. I’m sure they’ve done stats analysis on this and regressed against performance measures. But, looks to me like with QBs it’s a crapshoot, not much correlation, if anything, the smarter, the worse the on-field performance. QB sweetspot may be in the mid to high 20s. Marino had a terrible score, what diff did that make — he only threw for a million yards. Kap has one of the highest scores of all, but looks like he has trouble with reads…

      • Interesting but hard to know what it all means = little correlation between scores and performance. Not too surprising since performance on field and test scores are such different beasts.

  10. Nipper's avatar Nipper says:

Tests are BULLSHIT! If you’re dumb your fellow players will find out in a hurry. For football players it’s simple: If they can tie their shoe laces and chew gum at the same time they pass. That’s called the NIPPER I.Q. test for dummies.

  11. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Simms got a 10?!? Too funny. What a dumbshit.

  12. Chuck says TMZ comes across looking stupid, yet you were the one who posted that Kap was a hero for driving the girl to the hospital. Who was your source for that little chestnut, Forrest Gump?

  13. Getting early reports from Twitter that Aldon Smith was just arrested at LAX. Apparently he was belligerent and yelled, “bomb.” If this is true, he’s done. Finished. Kaput.

All this new “act like the Raiders” behavior has happened under Harbaugh’s watch. He *is* the motherfucking devil. On this Palm Sunday when we Catholics are supposed to celebrate the donkey which Jesus rode into Jerusalem, we just worship a team that is full of them.

    • phil fan's avatar philippinefan says:

New behavior? you ferget one Chuckie Haley drafted by BW I do believe

      • It’s all about perception. I could care less if the Bill Walsh, Carmen Policy and Eddie D. 49ers were molesting collies behind the scenes. The *perception* was that team won, lost, coached, managed and was owned with class and dignity. It was always said that way. Portrayed to the masses that way. Therefore to the public, that’s how it was. It made to be true.

I took great pride and was extremely fortunate to be apart of that era. So lucky to have season tickets and watch them in person. On and off the field being a 49er fan made me feel better then the rest. Not only felt that way, but acted like we were better then the rest. Hubris was thy name.

        Now? Thy name is shame.

  14. We drafted another A. Smith with our first selection. You think me might have learned.
    We had this shit coming.

    • NJ49er's avatar NJ49er says:

Del Aldon might have been misunderstood?

Might have been trying to say ‘I have a BONG’…?

      Oh these crazy kids huh?

      • Recent developments might have forced Baakle to draft either DL or CB in the 1st rather than WR. I guess that’s a positive. However, should Trent still stay the path of the Dark Side and go WR with our 1st pk…I’ll go to SFO and yell at the TSA myself.

      • NJ49ER's avatar NJ49er says:

Not so sure anything would dictate a WR Pick at 30, with the possible exception of Odell Beckham.

Should be an action packed event by the looks of things.

      • phil fan's avatar philippinefan says:

Yeah Aldumb seems to be cut from the same mold as one Charles Haley, sigh. But is that the Ricardo Lockette Model Bong? Now we know RLs actual reason fern not sticking in NFL = too ripped

  15. Del sez ‘no WR’ IN 1ST ROUND which I believe is the first thing I ever agreed with from him/ This is progress

    • NJ49ER's avatar NJ49er says:

Well we all know how rare it is that a 1st RD WR succeeds Phil –
Trouble is, you never know when the next Jerry Rice will show up.

I do like Beckham, which at Pick 30, wouldn’t kill me if he wasn’t the next JR.

Still like the BPA approach there, just in case.

      • phil fan's avatar philippinefan says:

I’ll go with your opinion on this one NJ. Serious and sustained attention needs to be paid to our passing attack. It’s cost us too much already not to take a few risks on upgrading here

      • NJ49ER's avatar NJ49er says:

Actually Phil I think there’s more value in RD2.
If someone slides to us at 30, great.
If not, nothing to stop Baalke from Trading back for an extra Pick next year.

It’s all a crap shoot anyway.

  16. phil fan's avatar philippinefan says:

Which is dumber Aldon yelling “bomb” in airport or the TV preacher claiming series of 4 ‘blood moons’ are some special message from Divinity? Dunno but looks like both these jokers are desperate fer attention at very least.

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/televangelist-claims-blood-moons-sign-world-shaking-event-article-1.1754601

Del may be a choir boy but dear old Aldon missed that casting call

    • NJ49ER's avatar NJ49er says:

Well Greg Focker was a pretty straight-laced passenger and, we know what sent him into a rage….. Good old TSA can do that to anyway.

    • phil fan's avatar philippinefan says:

Comments at end of that article about sum it up. Jeeeez

      • phil fan's avatar philippinefan says:

Fuck the blood moon nonsense, what was that Creedence song “Bad Moon Rising”?

ok, ok I’ll stop with the quasi-religious thread killer references already…

  17. snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

Profootball Weekly says Aldon Smith’s Wonderlic was 18. He apparently missed this T / F question on the test: When at an airport in the offseason, to speed your security check in, when should you tell the TSA agents that you’re carrying a bomb?
    1. Sometimes
    2. Never
    3. Always
    4. Just after you’ve packed your loaded pistol into your carry-on
    5. As soon as you get in the security line

    • NJ49ER's avatar NJ49er says:

      πŸ˜€

      TSA = Talk SH!T Aldon

    • Yup that’s it Snarkk, funny. Maybe Del Mar is sorta right = Niners have reverted to the mean as far as being a bit classier than the average sports team. But is that reason to love them less? For me No because I have a better life now so ‘Just win baby’ = that’s enough fer me

  18. Ted Striker: Which passenger is (Aldon Smith)?
    Testa: 16C. Why?
Ted Striker: He’s carrying a bomb.
Testa: A bahβ€”[hands fly up to her mouth to muffle her words]
Striker: No, Not a bah. A bomb.

    • phil fan's avatar philippinefan says:

Alldumb used to be Da Bomb. Now he Is a bomb = When will he go off next?

And how’s that 2011 draft looking with the top 3 selections looking at police reports this week? Good/very good players but acting stooped in the spot light right now

  19. snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

After reading about this a bit and seeing video, I’d guess this will get dismissed or pled down to some misdemeanor that will go away quietly later this summer. He probably got PO’d he got picked for the secondary check. Although there’s some weird part of the story about how a Southwest agent got into a hassle with him, so it’s a little fuzzy right now. If this happened because he’s boozing again, that would be a 4-alarm fire alert…

    • snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

Barrows says LAPD reports Aldon had been drinking, whatever that means. One thing it probably means is Aldon just got bumped for some extra games on the Goody suspension list…

    • NJ49ER's avatar NJ49er says:

Maybe it’s a secret plot to bring the Contract extension number down?
Mr Smith please stand on one leg and touch your right index finger to the tip of your nose.
      Excellent.
Now Mr Smith, repeat after me….I’m carrying a bomb.
