My daughter is wearing my Super Bowl XXIII t-shirt from the Aptos Club. Epic T-shirt.
Well, hell. The game WILL actually happen. In what seems like the college bowl game six week layoff, the Niners and Ravens will finally strap on their gear and start smacking heads. The reporters have all put their pens and papers away, the players and coaches are safely tucked into their beds, the ridiculous, stupid, and overblown comments have all floated away into the ether, and somewhere Kenny Stabler is drinking and laughing in a corner bar.
I’m fairly confident the Niners will wear these guys down in the end and win going away. And I won’t have to worry about whether Ray Lewis will do his Elaine Benes dance, where Chris Culliver will get his sensitivity training, or where Alex Smith will end up. If only for the duration of the game.

Roman fucked up on that last series. Cost them the Superbowl.
Absolutely.
Truly bizarre game
Shit.at least we made it interesting
Yeah SHIT!
One hell of a valiant effort by Kap and the offense. Great game..
Great game. Intense. Anything seemed possible.
This is the Super Bowl. You can’t play a messy first half and hope to come back in the second half. For whatever was not called, the 49ers and their turnovers and porous pass rush was at fault. Bring on baseball!
Yes!
1st and goal and we need one fucking play to get 6 yards with the Superbowl on the line. And they throw 2 nearly impossible balls for Crabtree to catch. You have all those pistol option plays where Kap can run. It’s incredible. Unbelievable
Believe it.
This idea that penalties shouldn’t be called because the situation is too big for the refs to “interfere” is utterly retarded.
Good effort from the Niners but the Ravens had the edge today and it showed
Fuck we would have been better off with the “SCAB REFS”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great comeback by Kaep and the offense. If they had come out like that to start the game, they would’ve won. And anyone who still claims that Kaepernick is a “running QB” is a fucking idiot. He is going to be known as a great passer when all is said and done.
Flacco has convinced me. He’s the real deal.
Jim Harbaugh needs to learn one thing – you don’t blame the refs. In big games, at the end, the refs don’t throw flags. Don’t cry. Be a man. You look like a fool on the sidelines. Last year Jim was crying about the Bradshaw non-fumble. This year I’m sure he’ll cry about the non-holding call. But in big games, refs don’t throw flags. Period. Jim needs to learn that, and design plays around it. The 49ers needs a big, physical receiver for that exact situation.
A Lot of really stupid mistakes by the Niners cost them this game. The secondary had a particularly hideous game.
Dennis get off the floor!
The refs didn’t call PI on Bowman in the Atl game for same reason.
That was a chuck within the 5 yard cushion. Crab was 2 yards into the end zone.
Jimbo goes postal after every call that goes against them. The non-call on the hold was kosher, Crabs was trying to get seperation pushing with his left hand. Poor play calling at the end, some wasted timouts, Culliver, lots of things ended up beating them. The QB’s were both great, 22 is just a big hole.
That cannot be good for his health.
Good synopsis. The points were huge but they made it up. Fun game to watch.
If you’re a 49er fan and you blame the refs, you’re a bitch.
Yep – but by that same logic, the flag on Culliver was a pussy penalty on the Ravens’ last FG drive.
If you’re gonna let ’em play, it’s just like the Seattle game – *admit* you are going to, and call it even for both teams. I’d let them knife fight for it out there, as long as both guys are holding.
And they didn’t call a hold on Culliver earlier in the game. The refs didn’t decide this. It was an exciting game, we lost.
Spitblood
Too much bullshit from you. Go F yourself assbite.
We definitely need better secondary play. We need a big physical receiver – a Moss who isn’t a pussy. We need to replace Akers. We need to strengthen the D-line.
The secondary will be a major address in the draft, book it!!!
There’s also a huge issue with preparation – too many times in big games, we came out flat and had to play catch up. That lies at the feet of the coaches.
100% correct
