Game Day – Carroll vs Harbaugh Part Six (or in French, ‘six’)

This should be an interesting game as Pete Carroll has a shot to try somewhat even the score with Jim Harbaugh. Jim “what’s YOUR deal?” Harbaugh seems to have a leg up on his skirmishes with Carroll going back to the Stanford/USC days.  Harbaugh was 3-1 vs Carroll in college, and. so foar inthe NFL, is 1-0 vs Carroll. So, the onus is on Carroll to break the vise-like hold Harbaugh has on him,  and for all intents and purposes had better players in college, and whose team is coming on pretty strong defensively this season. They are on a roll, and look to keep their slim playoff hopes alive for one more week.

Pretty heady stuff, seeing as how they started the year in the shitter by going 2-6. As this division is supposed to be weak sauce, the rest of the NFC can’t seem to close them out. All in all, though, the Niners should win out and wear these guys down.

Rathman happy with Hunter on the run

That CB, Browner, for Seattle is HUGE.

Smith has a ball batted down at the LOS. Shocking.

He’s listed at 6-4 221. I’ve never seen that before for a corner.
      That’s big for a safety.

    VD catches in bounds, short…useless

  4. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

Time for D again as our passing game is not working…again

Tavaris Jackson sucks. He throws the Hail Mary OB?

Even the Virgin Mother needs a helping hand.

T-jack is awful but the rest of the Seahawks have come to play. We aren’t good enough to just show up and win. I appreciate what our D is doing but I have found the play calling on offense to be boring and predictable.
I like Harbaugh going for it on 4th and 6 though, I just didn’t like the call.
If you’re wondering why Ginn was getting so many throws his way this game answers it–our receivers get no separation from the coverage. Ginn can’t catch, but he can at least get open…….

It may take a hail mary and 3 Our Fathers to win this game. Hawks look like they want it more. Our receivers/ passing game not very effective. Where is Morgan?

Oh yeah we needed him in on the play with 45 point lead

I can’t believe the consecutive drops on those passes. V Fucking D can’t get his feet in bounds, again, and Crabs follows that with a drop. And another VD drop that would have been a 1st down deep in Seattle territory.

VD has to go. He needs to pull his head out of his ass. Or he needs to just block.

  8. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Nice throw by Alex to Crabs to start the 2nd half…

    Yeah it’s a weakness alright

  10. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Nice play Alex to make sumthin’ outta nothin’

But we have to waste a TO on 4th dn. Shitty coaching and generalship by our QB.

  11. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Great play on both ends there by Alex and VD.

    Seattle was holding to boot…

    Touchdown Niners!

TD Frank! Great opening drive to start the 3rd Q.
Excellent play by Alex and VD in particular…

  14. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Damn. VERY sweet drive there. Need a quick 3 and out to fuck with these guys.

  15. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Of course, VD has a great drive, and he GOT HIS FEET DOWN!

  16. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Dennis, is on his best behavior, and Twin runs away?

I guess the Romo injury is balancing the scales?

  17. Chico's avatar Chico says:

Good runback and great field position.. Lets get some more points up there.

  18. grumpyguy's avatar grumpyguy says:

Late throw in the end zone by Alex. Lucky it wasn’t picked off.

  19. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

3rd and goal and we run a draw to Hunter?

That’s Harbaugh’s faith, or lack thereof in his quarterback.

Jimbo is the Grinch, not I said the Cat in the Hat.

Wow. Carroll gives the O another shot, and we don’t take it.
