All-Time Post of Forever (#1)
NJ49er
says:
September 7, 2011 at 7:40 pm (Edit)
I see this Season starting with lots of motion and ground attack.
Our OL is going to take time to adjust to the new system, however, a WCO should help them once Alex and the WRs get into the necessary rhythm.
Game 1, lots of Gore and Hunter, 9ers win a close one. I do expect Harbaugh to take some deep shots though, VD and Braylon will be a nice duo.

Early precincts are in: The SD Chargers have the hottest cheerleaders this year.
God damn, I love Earl Thomas’ game. That was your first round pick last year. Mike Iupati? Please.
Just short of another first down. Nice misdirection play.
Where’s Dixon in short yardage?
Akers could have 50 field goals by the end of the year.
David Akers and Andy Lee will be our MVPs this year.
Should come to no surprise.
At this rate Akers will on the Pro bowl team before the Bye Week
Fugazi’s right. I’ll trade anyone Andre Johnson for David Akres, straight up.
Just 34 yards on 14 carries.Alex 5 of just 7 passes, only 57 yards.
That won’t get it done against ANY decent team.
Total yards at the two minute warning: 49ers 87, Seahags 37. Pathetic. Just three first downs for each team.
Good field position. Can we do anything with it?
Smith looks better running than throwing.
That was pretty, snuck it in behind the safety’s back.
Carolina is beating the Tards. This awful game could put us in first place in the division.
First and goal at the one, no timeouts.
HEY! What’s your problem?
Defensively, we are dominating this game. Offensively, we are far short of where we need to be. This will not be enough to beat Dallas next week.
16 zip. Who woulda thunk
Shit, so far the pressure has been excellent. The TD, much needed. And the Niners get the ball for the 3rd quarter. . .
Seattle is unable to move the ball at all. We’re only a little better on offense, but today it’s enough.
One more TD and this game is over.
Grump,
Dallas isn’t as good as you think. But yeah, if you’re relying on Akres, Ginn and Alex Smith legs, you ain’t gonna beat the Cowboys.
There’s been a total of 165 yds of offense from both teams in the first half.
I don’t think this will be one for Sabol and his NFL Films archive…
Seattle’s a mess up front, though. They are young and not so good.
The offense needs to show some consistency in the 2nd half. Like passes over 5 yards. . . .
You guys are a total hoot- he’s blocking downfield, running for 1st downs, 97.7 QB rating..a game “Big Ben” woulda liked to have .
I don’t care about QBR, I care about TDs. So far we are 1 for 4 in the red zone. Nothing to be happy about.
Agan, the onus is on Harbaugh to get something out of Alex more than these fucking checkdowns.
Chuck, “you can’t squeeze blood out of a turnip.”
It was a very cautious offense, but if you can trash Smith on this half, you’re completely full of shit.
I’m still trashing him. So I guess I’m full of shit. You know what else is full of shit? You’re already on the record as predicting the 49ers will beat the Cowboys next week.
Alex Smith beat tony Romo? Put you’re money were you mouth is pal. Name your price.
Smith has had a very good first half— I’m sure that just bums out Denny. Dude, how can you say you’re a Niner fan and yet wish failure upon their starting QB? Makes no sense at all.
Captain Check Down isn’t gonna change his stripes next half. Game managers: can’t live with ’em …. pass the beer nuts.
Norv Turner’s run in Diego ends this season.
Without checkdowns, Joe wouldn’t even be in the Western Pennsylvania HOF..shit, even the jackals at the Stick were cheering Alex
Spit, I’m not worried about Akers or Ginn next week. I’m worried about Demarcus Ware having a feeding frenzy against Joe Staley and Anthony Davis.
The offense needs to step up big time or Dallas will tear Alex’s head off.
Wait, hold on…… Alex Smith is awesome….. Flavor and Twinfan are here. LMAO!
Four first downs on the last drive… that was better. Three the whole half before that – that ain’t good enough. We have to move the chains. Have to convert on third down, running or passing.
On defense, though, no complaints. Very solid game up front and even so far from the retooled secondary.
Where’s Jamie Maggio tend bar at?
Hey, I’ve just been consistent about him, I’m certainly open to being wrong down the road. I maintained from the time Harbaugh was hired that he could turn Smith into something serviceable–no more, no less. They have been calling way too many run plays but he’s had plenty of opportunities to fuck something up and he hasn’t done it–that’s a different A-Smith as far as I’m concerned. And that throw down field to Davis was a pearl……..
See, Flav, that’s your problem. Turn smith into something “serviceable?” Is that all you ask of your QB? WTF are your standards? Teams with QBs that are serviceable not name Dilfer, don’t win Super Bowls.
well if you think Joe Montana’s grow on trees you’re a fucking idiot…….
Crap. Gore can’t get untracked either. too many players in the backfield too quickly.
Nice catch, Crabs. Who needs practice? You do, asshole.
Crabtree is turning into a no practice prima donna
Game management with Alex Smith …….. can’t win with a game manager in the 2011 NFL. But hey, at least there’s a plan, and soon Harbaugh and Baalke will find a great QB. Thanks Alex for your stop gap patronage.
Another good punt by the MVP.
Yeah, the throw to Davis, like the one to Braylon in the pre-season, was the kind of play Alex has not made much in his career.
The game plan today is very conservative. JH may be saving his firepower for teams he knows will be harder to beat. Still, you cannot be satisfied with today’s production.
Hey Lynch, Gallery SUCKS. What are you smoking?
Beat the blitz there. Nice play by Baldwin on the sideline.
Maybe my unobservant litlle numbskulls aren’t noticing that the only offense IS Smith.
We have a total of 133 yds thus far. Again, where are your standards?
Next week, I have Romo, you have Smith. What’s the bet? You don’t have the gumption.
Best play Tavaris made all day… a fucking block.
Haralson blew containment on the end around. Can’t wait for Aldon to mature.
Gotta get the pick sorted out in the secondary. Oldest play in the book, and “the switch” needs to be coached up.
That’s where four guys never having played together hurts you. By week ten, they probably handle that play. Not now.
Well, Seattle is back in the game. The offense needs to recapture the tempo here.
And on first down, it’s the Jimmy Raye Special.
Gore sure looks tentitive today
So help me motherfucking Christ. Why is Moran Norris still wearing a 49er uniform?
Fire Harbaugh!
Had plenty of time, and Alex floated it long. A little too much air under it. Not a good throw.
Vernon Davis: You fuckin’ pussy.
Well, we may lead the league this year in passes for a loss.
I can’t believe what I just saw from Vernon Davis.
As Ricky waters so eloquently put it, “for who? for what?”
54 yard punt by the MVP, good coverage. Very nice.
8 49er offensive drives today: 7 first downs. Not good enough.
Nice D, nice D.
Well, at least the D got pressure. The o needs a pass play more than 5 yards. Underneath and runs are all getting stuffed. They need a 15 yard out. Some shit to open the running lanes.
Nice to get a stop. Long punt takes away the field position advantage Lee had got for us. The offense needs to sustain a drive now, before the Seahawks start moving again and start believing this game is still winnable.
D fense and special teams are fine. The O line is doing okay. It is and always has been the lack of passing that keeps Frank Gore running against 8 in the box. I’d crowd the line too against Alex.
Need to spread ’em out,
The defense is just too tight to get anything from those flare passes.
Hey, Spit. That’s your boy Delanie w/ the grab for -1.
Give ’em a 2-yr extension.
Third and long. We HAVE to GET THE DAMNED BALL DOWN THE FIELD.
The Seahawks have adjusted to Alex Smith’s underneath game. Need to spread ’em and out go 7 step drops. Niners O needs to start calling 7 step drops. The D isn’t ready for it. They are all over the line of scrimmage.
Dodges a bullet with that penalty on the Hawks
This game could slip away from us very easily if we don’t start moving the ball. Gore has been ineffective all day. The short passing game is not working. You have to go vertical. I know the line is shaky and Alex missed VD deep earlier, but we have to at least make an effort.
Good play by McDonald.
Ray McDonald is having one helluva game.
Tavares missed that shot to Tate. A better QB would have ahd a TD there.
Bingo.
Shit. we missed a coverage on that 3rd and short. Unacceptable.
That is a fuckin’ terrible call.
that’s shoulder to shoulder
Weenie penalty. I call knocking the ball out is necessary roughness.
That was a lousy call on thatt penalty. Fuckin pansies.
That’s a penalty? The NFL is turning into Mrs. Blood’s pussy galore Sunday matinee.
Fuck safety. Hit somebody.
Anybody seen Aldon Smith on the field today?
An Aldon sighting!
haha, i posted that and he made a stop.
Besides warmups
A Field Goal still makes this a one-score game.
The offense better get their shit together or they are going to lose this one.
Big break for the niners on the center / qb exchange. Alex Smith better do something. He can’t go hide his head in the sand. He needs to compete when it counts.
Nice play by Aldon after getting cut down to recover and tip that pass. Kid has promise.
Tavaris Jackson makes Alex Smith look like Frankie Albert.
We’re only getting 5.4 yards per pass attempt today. And 58 yards on 20 rushes for less than 3 yards a carry. Just terrible.
Thru 3 quarters, the Niners have 8 first downs and 138 yds of total offense.
Let’s bring back Alex for year eight!
Alex Smith: Compete when it counts! Your time is right now.
This is ridiculous. What is the recourse for the safety? Not hit the WR? Not try to knock the ball loose? It’s to the point that every play should result in a personal foul of some kind.
One drive is all this team needs. Another 3 and out and this game is likely over.
Finally a third down completion for the first down.
1 of 10. I guess we “were due.”
at least they’re giving the end arounds to Ginn, not Delanie Walker. Jesus.
Good job morgan.
THAT was a nice pass by Alex to Morgan, right there.
Smith’s best pass of the day.
Great run by Gore, and a facemask.
That was neither a face mask or a horse collar. The NFL has succumb to the George Carlin’s “pussification” of America.
LOL nice run by hunter, four yards when it should have been a three yard loss.
We need to go play action and have Smith throw to the corner of the endzone where it can’t be intercepted.
Fade route to Edwards?
Well, they went play action, but not the right route
That took too long to develop for throw out of the pocket into the end zone.
kick it
Take the field goal.
Roughing the kicker…Nice fake Akers..
And Akres gets his first oscar
