Go Ladybugs!!

If the 49ers win the Super bowl, I’m gonna have to follow my mom’s suit and get a ladybug tattoo. Hard to make a ladybug look bad-ass, but why not? Maybe something like this:

After Brandon Aiyuks’s good fortune proclamation after seeing a ladybug land on his shoe before the NFCCG, 49ers cheerleaders saw numerous ladybugs on the sidelines and crawling on the NFC Championship Game padding on the goal post and in various other places before, during, and after the game.

Might as well run with it. The quiet before the week of madness. Not much to say, but I hope the dfense comes out aggressive, and the 49ers force the action with a dominating run game. Keeping Mahomes off the field is the best way to slow down KC.

The wait is interminable though.

I’m rolling with it too Chuck.
A ladybug meme is likely catching on now.

Gotta have something to rally around right?

Man, since Ferrell went down, the run D has been awful. Got to play the run better by far.

Saw a pop up that suggested Chase Young is being considered for a SB benching for lack of effort.

Didn’t fall for the click bait but he sure fits the lack of effort accusation.

He was getting thrown off the edge numerous times on Sunday.

Like Micah in Dallas, you neutralize their pass rush by bulldozing them in the running attack.

Andy Reid played most of the game against Baltimore with 3 TEs.
Gotta expect the same approach in Vegas given the success Detroit had early.

I hope Shanny comes up with something similar to eat clock and keep Mahomes on the sidelines.

Yeah, I noticed on a bunch of plays that Young was WAY out of position on a lot of the runs to his side. He did make a couple plays in the 2nd half, but they really don’t have a lot of depth in run stoppers.

Which is why I’m gonna be watching the LBs and where they line up. Deetroit just manhandled us for 2.5 quarters. Their spacing on the line was enough to create holes all game. Campbell did his team no favors by abandoning the run early.

Esp on the first 4th down play. The way they were running, I would have run the ball.

Our DEs were pinching in, following the edge blockers down the line. Ben Johnson kept taking advantage of this. Our DEs were not setting the edge. Shanny said that was another position’s fault for poor pursuit. Deetroit’s DEs were setting the edge, causing us to have difficulty getting outside. Personally, I don’t like DBs setting edges because they don’t have the size to take on pulling guards and tackles. If we do the same thin against Andy Reid it is going to be a long day. I really question Wilkes sometimes. I miss Demeco Ryans.

Shit, this was Bosa’s issue his first season. As well as he played against the pass, his run defense suffered from repeatedly crashing inside and getting beat to the edge.

Chase Young was awful in the first half. The lollygagging on the long TD run was very bad, but he was crashing inside all game and leaving the edge wide open. With the LBs back, their line was getting to our LBs 6 yards downfield and blowing them away. Just terrible.

Bosa kinda dissed Young for his play. They’d better bring a shit-ton more effort this game. Even the DBs got into the lazy act not pursuing on their long runs.

I don’t see us keeping CY if this is his effort level.

I guess this is a good omen. My wife and I have been finding ladybugs in our house every day, starting about 5 or 6 weeks ago.

I was excited when we picked up Young. I remember playing WA I think during his rookie year, and he was a major pest that whole game. I was hoping we were getting some of that. But he has been underwhelming. Our pass rush just has not been getting home. That has to change.

ClellinFerrell was put on IR around the GB game. Young has to up his game. KC has bad OT. At least Omenihu is out.

  8. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Yeah, like I said above, I wouldn’t keep Young if he’s this uninterested in bringing the effort. Bosa obliquely called him out regarding the defense’s lack of effort. But is was pretty much team-wide.

  9. Winder's avatar Winder says:

If Young doesn’t get up for this game then F-him. This game has to fire him up. To beat these guys we gotta play 60 minutes of true 49er football and have a little luck come our way.

I’m thinking we come out strong in this game. KC isn’t the team of the 2019 season. They have some terrible losses this year. Their defense is better, but our offense is miles better than 2019. We are gonna take this one fairly handily.

    34-21.
