Valoaga appears to have supplanted Jullian and, I was ‘scouting’ Givens through the Draft process.
Both looked good to me through the Pre Season action.
Happy to see both retained.
Give me Trench Warriors π
Protect the QB – Sack the QB.
Exum coming back now that Street’s on IR. Street can now potentially return in 8 weeks, Exum back means we have 4 safeties (whew!).
Yeah, Ward and Tartt, don’t bring much confidence when it comes to durability.
I always hate it when a team snags one of our PS players. We are certainly gonna need some of these guys soon as a few get dinged up. I still think the NFL should raise the 53 limit to a higher #. Injuries just kill teams.
They could do 3 more and pretty much ensure that teams carry 3 QBs.
After all is said and done i think this years Niners are gonna be a very fun team to watch. We are still one of the youngest teams in the league so we will probably make quite a few mistakes, hopefully not game enders. I love the look of this team but i still think we are a year away from any serious playoff scenarios.
Hoping the same Winder.
One problem I have is that we seem to be snake-bit relative to scheduling.
I think our strength of schedule puts us in the top 10 (toughest) again.
Add the early bye, screwed up East Coast travel, and I’m not feeling real good about things.
Gonna need some luck (and better health in general), to break through our recent history.
My bad – We’re #11.
Something stinks when the SB Champs get the easiest ride, while the Raiders get the shaft.
https://tinyurl.com/y3teejuo
If they can stay relatively healthy I think they can compete for a spot. Thing is though, we close with 4 tough games. 5 if you include Baltimore. I don’t really know what’s up in Balt other than Flacco being gone. But it is an east coast 10:00 am game. Never easy.
@ Balt 10:00 AM
@ NO 10:00 AM
Atl 1:25 PM
LA Rams
@ Sea 1:25 PM
The Ravens are the defending AFC North Champions.
They’re a familiar Harbaugh team. Strong defense combined with a Greg Roman run heavy offense led by a dual-threat run/pass QB.
I think the only shot at winning a game against the AFC North is probably Cincy. Pretty sure Pit, and Balt, pound us and I doubt we come out on top of clev. Everyone of those teams have really strong D’s. Jimmy’s gonna have to have some dancing feet.
The Giants did pick up Mayo, so far that is the only one I can see that’s gone.
Mayo looked alright.
Bosa back to practice today. Looks fine!
His health is close to JImmy G’s as far as the success of the team goes.
If he can be consistently disruptive, we’ll get a lot more turnovers.
I’m holding my breath relative to this ‘Wide-9’ scheme Kocurek is implementing.
Puts a lot of pressure on the LBs.
If they can flow and wrap-up, we should be fine. Past several years have been a nightmare vs the run however.
No more P52/Bo in there to neutralize things.
We certainly have much more speed at LB with Alexander and Greenlaw. The defense has been all over the place these past couple years. Granted, they’ve had a mixed bag to work with, but this year had better be somewhere in the top 12 rather than the bottom 5. At some point they have to make big strides in improvement. Turnovers especially.
Mullens won the back up job.
Well played. Love it, RTF.
Niners looking at Jordan Mills as the new swing tackle. He started for Buffalo these last 3 years, but was recently cut by the Dolphins and hasn’t graded out very well. Then again, this is what you find in September on the waiver wire.
Someone is pretending to be unca_chuck! Thereβs an imposter among us!
Whoever it is, at least heβs no liberal snowflake. I prefer a real American man like President Trump who can nuke hurricanes in the blink of an eye
The best part about our roster is I don’t see Conner Joe on it!
Heh heh! Can you say Malcolm Smith? Jerick McKinnon is looking like about as big a waste, though. Hey, you can’t hit ’em all. I just hope Kwon and Dee stay upright and kick some ass. We dropped a lot of coin on those two.
I will say one thing about Farhan Zaidi. He sure moves on from his mistakes quickly. He turned a 100-loss team with a horseshit OF into a .500 team in a hurry. And he got Atlanta to take on Melonhead’s entire contract. No mean feat there.
As far as the Giants go, I’m looking forward to Belt and Crawfish leaving. If he can do that, the rebuild will be further along than I thought possible.
Wow. Hadn’t checked the spam filter in a couple weeks. Rocket Queen has been a busy little girl.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T8Ezt51jTA
Are you talking about your right hand again? Sheβs a busy little princess
Well we are finally back to football! This years squad looks at least on paper, ready to compete with anyone. Niners got a rough schedule yet again, but it’s looking like 9-7 to me, with a chance of better than that if it all gels early enough in the year and NJ’s curse gives them a break.
Still a real young team. 7-9
8-8 is probably reasonable.
So I stick with 10-6, a wildcard berth and a wildcard round win before falling in the divisional round.
Balls to the wall!
And here comes the Cards again, double, triple, see ya Bum…
Oops lol thought I was on Flavors blog!
Well how about them 49ers!!
Oh I did draft Deebo Samuels late in my draft picks, could be a steal are a bust but on my bench no worries for now..
Kat- I got him too on a few teams. From what I’ve seen he’s a pretty shifty runner and a sure handed receiver. We really need him to shine
He is FAST. Get him the ball in the flat and he can make shit happen. We used him on a jet sweep and he got 60 yards.
Goodwin and Pettis are starting. But I expect we’ll see a lot of Deebo, because all we have after that are Bourne and James, and they’ll be more situational guys.
Infuriating that we continually pitch to Goldschmidt and he keeps killing us.
But yeah, I think we can start pretty fast, but we have a bitch of a closing schedule.
New thread is up.
