Interesting ESPN article regarding the 49ers draft.

    http://www.espn.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/id/125954/san-francisco-49ers-2017-draft-picks-analysis-for-every-selection

Turns out the Paraag man was responsible for all the draft maneuvering. Something I gave Baalke credit for all these years. So, Baalke actually did less than I thought.

I always thought Paraag played a quasi GM role Chuck.
Dysfunctional mixture when the Money Man gets involved with personnel IMO.
Paraag is Dr Daddy’s eyes and ears.
Jed is the hood ornament of incompetence.
I simply hope they change their ways now.
      New regime deserves better.

Listening to Lynch talk about Trent Taylor, he sold me on him. Lynch is a very good salesman.

  4. unca_chuck says:

NJ, all I know is Lynch and Shanny likely won’t brook any backlash from Paraage. Jed saw the outcome of that already.

    • NJ49er says:

Let’s hope they give the football guys the room to run the football Ops Chuck.
Too much impatience, backstabbing, and media leaking to choke a horse with these idiots.
It would seem, thus far, that Lynch is stroking Paraag in all the right ways.
Blowing a little sunshine up his bunghole is probably all he needs?
Something I suspect was a difficult chore for Baalke and, damn near impossible for Harbaugh.

So far, so good, in terms of an expanded staff of football guys IMO.
Communication seems to have been top notch through their first endeavor together into Draft-dom.
Baalke always impressed me as being uptight, and stiff, with his dealings related to the media.
Lynch has no such inhibitions. Should pay dividends in spades.

  5. NJ49er says:

Doing a little follow up on some of the UDFAs we landed – This kid isn’t too shabby.
Seems the knock on him is the 4.68/40.
    Decent 10YD Split though @ 1.62 –

  6. unca_chuck says:

What’s funny is 2/10th of a second over 40 yards equals about 4″ of separation.

Rice never burned it in the 40. Game speed and track speed are different animals. I’ve never taken a ton of stock in 40 times.

    • NJ49er says:

Jerry ran precise routes as well – It can be overcome for sure – All about separation in this game.
Any guy coming in as an UDFA candidate is facing long odds to begin with, but, you never know who wants it bad enough to make it happen.
      “So… you’re saying there’s a chance?”

Maiocco lists this kid as an UDFA signing but I can’t confirm it anywhere else –
Seems WVU got it straight from him though?
Defensive lineman Noble Nwachukwu confirmed that he has signed a free agent deal with the San Francisco 49ers.
“I will be going out there next week,” Nwachukwu told BlueGoldNews.com.

DE NOBLE NWACHUKWU / WEST VIRGINIA

  10. unca_chuck says:

Yeah, As good as the trade was with the Bears, the trae that got Foster is even better. The gist of the article.

“The career worth of these players won’t be determined for another few years, but the immediate value of where they were selected relative to their skills is obvious. Lynch knocked the draft out of the park in many ways and the post-draft signings prove an ability to isolate good talent and entice players to sign with the 49ers.”
