I really wish “we” in this case meant him, but it’s the editorial we. Steve also rips into York toadie Trent Dildo for placing the sole blame of the team’s failure at the feet of Chip Kelly. I totally agree with this as the talent exodus has been obvious and detailed since he took over in 2011. He gets 0 credit for 2010. That was the once-and-still great Scott McLoghan. Not sure why he gets itchy feet so often, but he’s on his 3rd team since 2010 and has done well at every stop.

I heard Young’s parking lot thing. Lots of words without any action in them. How are you supposed to *prove* you’re part of the solution? If you ask the players they’ll all say *yes* and back in the building they go. I got his point but there wasn’t any solution there…..
Fire the Yorks by not attending the games and flying banners during the games. At least Jed should leave. He’s a weak figure to lead an NFL franchise. Chuck can sell his bags outside the stadium gates. Right now is the time for action.

You prove you are part of the solution by offering ways to get out of the current situation. Not that hard to point out, no, but harder than shit to do. The solution is obviously to get rid of just about everyone in the front office. Separate the football guys from the MBA types. Fucking Paraage Marathe has done everything from man the red flag to negotiate contracts to run a fucking soccer team to give Jed reach-arounds. He has no football experience yet mans a very important position in the front office. They need to get the accountants and glad-handers out of the front office and bring in football types.

Harbaugh won despite the miasma (with the help of a ton of high picks courtesy of Scotty McLoughan), and with his (and all the talent’s) departure, we are back in the tornado of bullshit. Thanks mainly to Trent Baalke. He’s not the only problem, but his failure is the most glaring. 6 years of drafts have led to next to nothing, and the FA signings have been poor to awful. They need an EVP of Football Operations that knows the game. A GM that has a decent track record. The rest filters from there. Get smart front office types, and coaches and players will follow. Otherwise we have what we have. A mess of revolving coaches and players.
The problem is, Jed doesn’t want to do it that way. He likes having control over the minutae and it continually blows up in his face. He hired Nolan as HC/GM and he was decent with the talent, but limited as a play caller. Singletary was a shit-show. A one-trick pony who was way over his head. Scotty bailed for ‘personal’ reasons, and that has never been explained. He did the same thing in Seattle and drafted RW and Richard Sherman (and a lot of other players) in his short stint there. Now he’s building Washington into a decent team after decades of dogshit under Daniel Snyder. Jed will can Baalke and hire Tom Gamble most likely. It causes the least amount of headache and he won’t have to pay 3 head coaches. Just like he did his ‘nationwide’ search to unearth Baalke in the first place. As he apparently did to Gase (forcing Tomsula as his DC) to cause him to bail.
The only caveat to this is, the Niners may very well go 15 straight losses, and the blowback will be huge if Jed Sucksalot keeps Kelly.

It really makes me sick to my stomach to see our Niners in such disarray. Fucking Jed/John/Mommy have go to straighten it out. I don’t know if it’s possible for them to do it. There has to be an agenda in place but what that could be is really confusing since nothing that has been done this year makes much sense. I don’t think Jed can handle the pressure since it’s obvious he’s in hiding. So, probably the best avenue for change is to continue slamming Jed as much as possible. Luckily the media will certainly enjoy giving Jed as much grief as possible. Let’s hope it works.

Where are they now? I think they should cut bait with everyone. I mean, It can’t get any worse. One game diff? We still may end up with the 1st pick as Cleveland is playing SD in Cleve.
This team needs to follow the blueprint of every successful team. Hire a guy to run the whole show. He makes all the football decisions. Including who to hire as HC. Either hire a solid GM and let him make the decisions or hire a EVP to find a GM. ALL the rest needs to come from them. If the GM wants to keep Kelly, fine, but don’t make it a contingency for the new GM to meet before getting hired.

Just looking at the ’78’ roster. We sucked that year but who knew what our O-line at the time would turn into. This years team is by far the worst we’ve ever had. Everyone should go. If we keep Kelly it will set us back even farther. I think he’s the worst coach we’ve ever had too. But I liked Red Hickey so what do I know.
Red Hickey and Billy Killmer and the shotgun turned the league by surprise for a while as I remember. Then the league caught up.
Nip- it really is pretty much the same as now it took the league a couple of years to figure it out and he was done.
Yeah, looking at those drafts that were fairly poor, they did build the Super Bowl nucleus by drafting their O line in the mid-70s.

chuck- I was pretty young at the time too. But, the reason I love the Niners so much is all about the 1960 roster. That’s when I really started to follow the team and what a team it was.

I’ve read a few articles saying there is a strong possibility Kap could be out of football next year. I thought that a stretch, but looking at it more I feel that just might be the case.
He hasn’t played well enough to be a starter in the NFL and as a clip board holder he brings way too much bullshit with him.
If the Niners don’t have him on roster next year, which they shouldn’t, then Kap just might be a full time activist…Career over.

If Kappy had gone to Denver, they’d be in the playoffs. He made a big mistake in not going.
Maybe, but I don’t see it as a sure thing. Kap is not an NFL capable QB at this time with this team. He probably could perform better on a stronger roster but his flaws are not going to change and his style of play has been adapted to, he has no more tricks in his bag and hasn’t evolved as a young player with his skills was expected to.
If he gets another chance to start somewhere he will play next year. As a back up I would be surprised any team would take him.
