Game Day . . . We’re In Bat Country

In the inexorable death march to whatever this offseason purge portends, we have reached the mid-point of the season in worse shape than last year. Huh? How is that possible? Why? Well, a steadily dwindling pool of talented players is the biggest reason. Throw in injuries to what few good players we have, a revolving door approach to coaching hires, and lack of attention to the offense for the past 6 drafts, and the slide continues.

I have no idea what happens at the end, but if the results are going to continue on the current trend, what is there to do? 8 more losses and we’ve done the impossible and made Jimmy T look like, well, Monte Clark. Instead of himself, which is how the front office portrayed him  as they tossed him aside. As if they weren’t the ones that hired him in the first place. Granted, Adam Gase, Hue Jackson, Jim Harbaugh, or God himself couldn’t win with this collection of 2nd and 3rd stringers.

So my hope is for fly-bys, protests,  and more and more bags . . .

A few weeks old but another from USA Today. Bear in mind these are national journalists not locals, the whole country gets to read the depths of this morass:

I think the country at large is on to the suck that we are. Tomsula’s fart and Chip Kelly’s suck have ensured that.

I think Phil is nervous that nukes may be dropping on his head like all those coconuts.

Tomsula must be laughing his head off at the ineptness of this season. Last season doesn’t look as bad compared to this season. His coaches performed better and the team eked out a few more wins.

I wonder if 9ers can beat the Rams again. That would make for two wins in an otherwise pathetic season. Maybe it would save Baalke’s job. Do we care? Get more bags!

You guys read ole Bullit on the “other” blog? He’s getting into a hissy fit over Kap’s politics and lack of interesting in voting like that’s his business. It’s good for a laugh.
