Nap Time

Well, nothing to do but wait for the OTAs, camps, and walk-throughs to start. But this is a couple months away. All we have now is draft ratings, talk, and angst over anything and everything. The 49ers are a mess, hot or otherwise, and Chip has a lot of problems to address. But at least he’s somewhat versed in developing an offense that doesn’t shit the bed on a regular basis.

But this is a different team and a different scenario, what with the Kaepernick trade talk and the ensuing disinformation campaign waged by the whisper brigade. Every team has questions, up to and including the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos, who are in a tizzy as they wonder about the outlook of their immediate offensive future. Peyton Manning retired, and now they have Mark Sanchez’s tiny little feet filling his cleats. Paxton Lynch is certainly their QB of the future, but they would most likely want Lynch to sit for the next two seasons to pick things up. So, where does that leave Denver? Hard to say, but can Sanchez match Manning’s/Osweiler’s underwhelming performance last season? With that defense it looks fairly promising, but it is hard to repeat, and Denver’s line was a little less than stellar.

I mean, we’ve beaten our issues to death. Why not Denver’s?

Anyone think they are in better shape with Sanchize as their QB? Kappy? Should they start Lynch from the get-go? Hey, they did it with Elway. . .

Anyhow, here’s some chatter from Denver.

And Elway is the GM right? So I see them starting a rook

  2. Winder says:

    Fuck Denver.

Hah! Pretty much my sentiment. I just wanted to see if anyone over there was truly missing out on a different/better QB than Sanchez and the rookie. They have a pretty fucked up line, so Paxton would be on the run from the get-go. But the rest of the team is pretty stout, so it’ll be interesting.

Funny thing is, my wife and will be in Denver on their openingThursday night game. Unfortunately we’l be at the Giants.Rockies game, not the Broncos/Panthers game. Had no idea when we scheduled this that it was opening night in the NFL.

Going to see Bonnie Raitt at Red Rocks as well. Excited about that.

Now? Love your optimism, ROB!! 9-7 might be a hill too far this year . . .

That being said I don’t think they repeat, buy any stretch of the imagination. I think if they got Kappy they would have had a much better shot than they do with Sanchize. Their defense will be nearly as good as last year, but it won’t be good enough to carry them all the way again.

Time for Camp Chipper! Get the guys ready for that new offense. Rah …..rah….rah!

    Nice song Winder,

Both ESPN’s Todd McShay and SB Nation’s Dan Kadar both have the Niners picking Brad Kaaya, QB-Miami, in next year’s draft.

    With the 2nd overall pick.

LOL – the wailing and gnashing of teeth has begun.

    • Winder says:

So in essence what they are saying even after our draft is that we are truly gonna suck and that we should have picked a QB. What they didn’t say is that fucking Baalky probably won’t go QB with the first pick next year either.

Well, the hope is Baalke is gone by then if this season goes to shit in a bucket.

  9. rtfirefly says:

Beast Mode was put on the retired list today by the Seahawks. He’s gone. I may be the only one, but I’m beginning to be a tad optimistic about the season – I know, I know, I should see a doctor about it.
