Game Day! The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway

maybe. What used to be filled  with excitement now gives way to morbid curiosity.  Game day. What used to be a rivalry  for the ages is but a meaningless division game between two also-rans.

Oh well, the question is, when will I start work on replacing that faulty power steering pump? My Su days seem to be getting a little more wide open.

Shit, at this point all I want to see is this team making adjustments. They have no RB depth and cut their backup RB and feel-good story Jarryd Hayne. Nice move.

Jesus.  Hard to get that Trent Baalke isn’t catching heat for building a team with no depth. Reggie Bush is no way a reliable backup. Two plays, one IR stint already.

Has their been a punt/kick return by the Niners without a holding or clipping penalty?…

  2. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

    WTF Miller!

  3. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

Oh good, another opportunity for a Niner ST penalty coming up!

  4. rtfirefly's avatar rtfirefly says:

I messed up. I was looking at the Rams’ stats. The Niners have 51 yards offense and now 45 yards in penalties. Helluva first half.

  5. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

    Have to get 7 here

  6. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

    Jesus. Try the end zone?

  7. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

We’ll run it for 2 here.

  8. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Fuck. Miller with the drop. Not that he would a scored, but Christ.

    5 drops today?

  9. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

Say what you like about Kap, he has had no help from WR or RB, they have drops everywhere.

  10. snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

Special teams disaster. Safety. The usual inept play in the red zone — not even a throw INTO the end zone starting from the 7? I’ve had enough. Whatever this is that the Niners are doing, it is not professional football. At least not my definition of it. Let this season crater into the craphole, get a high draft position. In the offseason, Jed should cashier the entire organization, bring an entirely new management team n here, with an experienced football person in charge of the organization that can bring in coaches that weren’t recently talk show hosts. This running back situation today, caught with your pants down, is totally inexcusable. Baalke has to go, though he probably will convince Jed he can turn this steaming turd of a team around…

  11. Winder's avatar Winder says:

    Fucking unbelievable. We really suck.

  12. rtfirefly's avatar rtfirefly says:

11 rushes for 2 yards by the RBs. That’ll put the fear of God in ’em.

  13. snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

And BTW. The NFL really needs to figure out what it wants to be. Entertainment? Or a flag throwing contest? The number of penalties here is simply astounding. Unwatchable football…

  14. Nipper's avatar Nipper says:

Remember these guys are going to be the LA RAMS! Bank on it. NO longer the Lambs.

  15. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

    Unreal

  16. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Unreal. You can’t give that shit up. Then miss tha tackle.Fitting our best cover guy goes out, taken out by his own guy.

  17. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Well looking like we’re #1 in the draft.

    • snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

That’s the goal now. This team is beyond embarrassing. The Keystone Kops were a well oiled machine compared to this. The Glory Days of the ’80s and ’90s seem now like they happened to some other franchise…

  18. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

    Seriously ugly half.

  19. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

Why is it that on a pass the receiver has to have control of the ball before going out of bounds, but you stretch out and the ball comes free as the ball crosses the goal it is a TD?

  20. snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

Out to do something productive. Adios…

  21. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

Niners have to get something going. I will be watching for punting instead of going for it in certain situations.

  22. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

    Gaskins, last man standing, literally!

  23. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

    No flag?!?

  24. rtfirefly's avatar rtfirefly says:

Luck’s been playing since Week 3 with multiple fractured ribs. I thought he sucked because his interest in football waned, his TV commercials were setting him up for a career in D movies.

  25. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

A second grounder today from Kap, unforced. Commentator says he missed Smith being open and he did miss Patton open in the end zone earlier.

  26. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

2 consecutive drops in that series alone, what is going on?

  27. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

2 more drops on that drive.

  28. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

    good grief

  29. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

Big changes coming in the bye week I reckon.

    • rtfirefly's avatar rtfirefly says:

I think the coaches and players thought THIS was the bye week. They way they’re sleepwalking, they might still think that.

  30. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

    Dawson punting?
