Hmmm. This one is a real head-scratcher. The best offense goes against the leakiest pass defense? Aaron Rodgers gets to shred our ineffective pass rush and mysteriously non-existent defensive backs? Our suddenly crappy passing game tries to unbury itself from the dregs of the worst game in oh, the last 10 years? 20? And that’s saying something seeing as some the stiffs that have wandered through the team lo these past 10 have been terrible.
I think these guys will play a better game. And I think they can even win, given the fact that they aren’t as bad as that AZ game, and they ARE at home. Realistically though our D is swiss cheese, and the cheeseheads want to exact revenge. We’ve been the bearer of a lot of bad news to GB in recent memory, knocking them out of the playoffs a couple times, and smoking them in the regular season as well. All with CK as the QB to win those games. (another hmmm) So they want to hurt us.
No there no moral victories in football, but really now. If this team gets smoked in another disastrous-type game like the last two, there will be some major grumblings around 4949 Centennial Blvd. For all everyone’s talk about the goodness or badness of the team, another blowout will be hard to stomach. Yeah, the line is banged up and shakey. At some point though, you’d think the coaches would say move Boone back to RT, or get Shareece Wright at least somewhere near the field. They need to work on the line to get CK some time in the pocket. GB is 11th in pass defense, so maybe we can run to set up the pass. I don’t know. I see a better game, but not enough to win.
Kappy was always a loser but the media hype took the fan base for a ride along with them. Jed the boy wonder is exposed as a loser and Tomsula is a tub of shit. Ba-da-ba-da-ba-da That’s All Folks!
Gabbert gets the ball out if nothing else.
He’s played behind horrific OLines in JAX.
I think Kaep is NEVER going to get himself comfortable in the Pocket because he’s too used to running himself out of trouble.
When teams load the box, the ball has to come out quickly to SOMEONE.
You can’t backpedal or, step right into the rush while holding the ball.
No vision.
No anticipation on who the Hot Read is.
There were open throws to be made that simply didn’t get identified.
Not to mention, the throws that weren’t even close enough to give the Receiver a chance to win.
If you looked at the Niners roster and their upcoming schedule in preseason and thought they would be somewhere other than right where they are right now, you were hallucinating or just really, really optimistic. It’s going to get worse before it gets better – just look at the schedule.
Nothing wrong with optimism. It’s a pretty miserable existence to go into every season thinking your team is going to suck. It think things around here have been pretty well tempered by reality.
Games with a shot to win:
1. @ NYG next week. I think this is an easy loss. Chuck thinks Niners have a shot.
2. @ home v. Ravens the week after. Ravens on an upswing. Toss up. I’ll give Niners a win.
3. @ Bears Dec 6. Bears aren’t good. But, it will be cold. Toss up. Niners lose, Cutler has good game.
4. @ Browns Dec 14. Browns are bad. But, it will be a battle of crap offenses in bad weather Niners win.
That’s what I see now. 3 wins….
Kapernick’s a shitty Vick, minus the dog killing. The D got them to the Super Bowl, Kap couldn’t do jack shit behind a great OL. He needs to pull his snatch, he’s bleeding and it’s not going to stop
Right. What about the 300 yds he threw for in said Super Bowl? The spectacular TD he ran for? He wasn’t the reason they lost, the team coming out of the gate in a fog was. That’s on Harbaugh.
On a scale of 1 to 10, this offense is Fuck you you Goddamned Son of a Bitch.
It’s not strictly a numerical scale, you see.
Sigh. Gonna be a long year.
Hey the defense showed up it would’ve been way worse if they took the day off. There’s no control over this team and it’s showing the wheels are falling off.
Did you hear Jimmy Johnson? What should the 49ers do about Kaepernick? He said, “Find a new QB” the worse performance ever by a 49er QB. I know some might still want to but there’s no defending this crap!
Couple more losses in a row, and the Tomsula and staff lame duck talk will start.
A disastrous season right before hosting the SBowl in Santa Clara will be a gigantic embarrassment for the Niners organization. Especially if post-season Jed fires the entire organization except himself…
Did you hear Jimmy Johnson? What should the 49ers do about Kaepernick? He said, “Find a new QB” the worse performance ever by a 49er QB. I know some might still want to but there’s no defending this c**p!

Beyond the fact that Jimmy never said that, good one. He said “build around him. Get him blocking and a semblance of a coherent offense”.
We are in the same boat as last year. Inconsistent line play is killing the plays. We haven’t developed quick passes to neutralize blitzes.
NJ, there ARE NO HOT READS. No one was looking for the ball on the 4th and 5 blitz. When no one is ready to catch the ball, you can’t throw it. Slow developing pass plays still plague this offense.
It is the overarching problem with the offense that we’ve had for years. No quick passes. Nothing to counteract the constant pressure.
If you think Gabbert would do better, you are tripping balls. Gabbert would be toast on a stick behind this line.
Chuck, we all know Gabbert sucks. But, how much longer can Kap play and look like a zombie? It’s embarrassing. The wideouts are tuning him out…
GB defense good, not great. At home, a touchdown should not have been out of the question. Kaep seems broken right now. Time to hit re-set button on long term plan. If they keep losing, I am with Snarkk. Ditch Kaep, draft Goff in first round and Lawler shortly thereafter.
Gabbert would be awful but at least the white flag would get waved. I’m tired of hoping Kaep will turn into the QB we all hoped he would be. That was 5 freaking years ago. I miss Alex Smith.
You don’t know he’d be awful. According to Buck the team is please with his development and he’s a better pure passer than Kap. Leaving Kap in there at this point is like throwing raw meat to the piranhas. Time to switch it up.
you are right. I don’t know that.
Every QB needs everyone around them to play well, runnittt, it’s called a team not a one-man show. Kap’s confidence at this point is in the shitter and with this o-line it’s not going to improve any time soon. Sitting him for a while and giving Gabbert a chance might give him the chance to step back and gain a better perspective. It may help, it may not, but what they’re doing now definitely isn’t getting it done.
Going into the season with a joke of an o-line was a horrible decision by management. Granted, fucking Davis ‘retiring’ so late in camp didn’t help matters, but meatballs like Pears and Devey have no business on an NFL field. Staley also coughed up a big sack when the team was in the red zone. They just suck right now. They can’t even give Hyde room to run and he’s working his ass off.
Gabbert was drafted the same year as Kappy. He hasn’t shown much. As shitty as Kappy is right now, He’s better than Gabbert. Playing Gabbert IS throwing the towel in.
After the past two games, I don’t think he is better than Gabbert. Continuing to throw him to the wolves is going to do more harm than good. Kap can’t even make routine throws right now. Nobody’s saying Gabbert’s the long-term answer, but switching things up right now can’t hurt anything and could do some good.
That said, there’s little chance of the team actually doing so.
Of course Kap shows up at presser looking like a half a kunt wannabe punk-as gangster. Idiot. Gabbert would suck balls. This could be a 1-win team.
Bye bye bullit.
The only out I’ll give them is they didnt expect Kilgore to take this long, and AD’s ‘retirement’ in fucking June was ludicrous.
Yep, Davis leaving late was a tough deal. They had to scramble, though, should have traded to get better talent on the right side of the OL…
Right on chuck
And our offensive gameplan is lame
