Something like that. Hey you never know. AZ is coming off 2 impressive wins, but at the expense of 2 of he worst defenses in the NFL in Chicago and New Orleans. The Niners on the other hand beat a Minnesota team that shut down the Detroit Lions pretty handily last week. Course we were folded, spindled and Rothlisbergered last week in Pittsburgh. No shame there. It just got away fast.
Which brings us to AZ. For all their recent success (sort of), they haven’t made much noise in the playoffs recently. Lots of bridesmaid shit. They have a decent defense and a fairly solid offense, if they can keep Carson Palmer upright. Kappy? Well, he’s 4-1 as a starter vs AZ with 9 TDs and only 1 pick. Seeing as AZs pass defense is Whaley, I see a continuation of the deep passing game.
As usual though this game will be decided in the trenches. Get a strong ass rush on Palmer and the DBs will be fine. No pressure means Palmer going deep. And as we saw last week, even the safeties got beat over he top. Over and over. Open up some running lanes and give Kappy time to throw and I think we get the offense rolling.

Kappy’s worst day as a 49er. Palmer OTOH at 257 and really could have as many as he wants. We cannot even slow down a passing offense right now. No rush, no coverage, no chance.

Why is that every year the Niner offensive like cannot pass block? This goes back to the days of A Smith, how can a QB set up, look down the field when he is running for his life? I have been complaining about this since Alex days!!
The NFL is geared for the pass, to stay in any game a team has to be able to pass the ball. So the O line of any team needs to be able to pass block. So far in two games the O line has not done that!!
A 3 man rush never works. It didn’t work last week. Guys were wide open. No pass rush = completions. Any NFL QB can complete passes with no pressure.
It was out of hand and the picks didn’t help.
Wonder if Kap is gonna go with the standard bullshit of “we just didn’t execute”
in his post gamer. He can’t float that with a straight face, can he?

I’m really baffled by the idea of not going after Palmer early. By not going after him, you set up them throwing deep. As we showed, we ain’t covering anyone whether its 5, 6, 7, or or 8 in coverage. We blitzed the shit out of Bridgewater and it worked. Fricking Minn is 2-1.
What is frustrating is the Niners basically giving up. Run run run when being down so far tells me they just wanted to limit the embarrassment of more interceptions, and inept passing game. That itself is embarrassing. Kap had pressure, but even guys under pressure do better than this. Unless he turns this BS around, he’s a lame duck…

Well, they did it. They got their collective asses kicked worse than last week. Didn’t think that was possible. OL problems notwithstanding, me patience with Kaepernick is wearing thin. This season is now shaping up to be an unmitigated disaster.
