All-Time Post of Forever (#1)
NJ49er
says:
September 7, 2011 at 7:40 pm (Edit)
I see this Season starting with lots of motion and ground attack.
Our OL is going to take time to adjust to the new system, however, a WCO should help them once Alex and the WRs get into the necessary rhythm.
Game 1, lots of Gore and Hunter, 9ers win a close one. I do expect Harbaugh to take some deep shots though, VD and Braylon will be a nice duo.

24 – 21 today. Hate to pick against us but not only is it east coast short week but they’ve had extra time to prepare. Not only that but they’ll want to rebound at home after getting bounced by NE.
Can we shock the world AGAIN !?
GO NINERS !!!
Gonna be hard to rattle Ben as we did with Teddy last week.
We’ll find out soon enough just how well a short week of prep gets handled against a well rested opponent.
Be nice to find a big play or 2 on their Secondary from Torrey too.
24-17 Niners
I would expect us to be able to run over the Steelers and to stop their running game. Can we stop their passing game. Probably not. Can we equalize that with moving the chains and minimalizing Big Ben’s opportunities? I think yes. And because defense and running games travel well I say 27-24 49ers.
GO NINERS!
few things more irritating than losing a TO on a dumbass challenge as soon as the game starts.
Worth it tho. A 35 yard 3rd down play that was close, id throw it.
Fuck. Stupid mistakes.
Boldin did this shit last year. Perfect throw, first down and he doesn’t tuck the ball away.
Based on the stupid rules around catching I have no idea. Wow. Makes no sense.
Agree Flavor, let’s hope Tomsula doesn’t take up Harbaugh’s penchant for retarded challenges. That wasn’t even close to being challenge-worthy.
Niners got lucky there. That was a fumble.
2 deep balls now. Sorry, but Johnson doesn’t impress me, at least not yet. He got whipped by a mediocre receiver.
That was way too easy. Welcome back to earth, boys.
I/m a lonely girl.
V …..you may as well take your panties off.
Man, the o-line looks shaky in pass pro.
The I have mommy issues.
Red zone blues. Fuck. Once again the WRs are barely involved.
sniff……
Make a play, goddamn it
Quick plays are still something we can’t do.
Damn not good so far!
Boone has gotten abused on a couple of pass plays now.
Same story, if they don’t give Kaepernick time, he’s not going to complete passes downfield.
With such a suspect line they HAVE to work on quicker plays. Slants. 3 step, get the ball out.
We still refuse ti throw slants. Or deep balls. Nice drive, but they need to score.
Tomsula dogs Boone for his shitty play.
This is getting ridiculous.
And it’s already starting to get ugly. No pressure on Roethlisberger, blitzes aren’t working, secondary getting shredded. Not good.
Reid was in decent position and stopped running. Not sure why
Back to earth with a THUD.
This game will test Colin’s arm!!
Not if they don’t give him time. So far, no joy.
This is the NFL, guys, you HAVE to be able to pass.
You have to be able to block as well. Even when they double Brown, he catches the ball. We don’t have time to hit our WRs. Or even look at them.
Oh well. Need a big play by the D to even give the team a chance.
My point is, Hyde is great but first and second down runs all game aren’t going to cut it. For all intents and purposes, this one’s over.
Or not. DBs getting torched.
You’re talking about a guy who has been shit in the league since he arrived and they can’t cover him. Ben goes for 400 today.
Well, I think there is something to the short week. These guys get 10 days rest and we get 4 and a 6 hour travel day.
And buwwit notes that RBs get hit when they play. Really?
216 passing yards to 7?
Jeeeeeeezus
Jesus H. Christ
Fuck. Think they are going to try the end zone again?
Well, we can see what happens when Kap has time to throw. He can cut them up. Problem is, 3 of the 5 o-lineman are shit.
Christ. Time time time.
OK, we’ve seen the 2 extremes, maybe we’ll find the happy medium in coming weeks.
Alrighty then! Go Packers!
Yeah, one win doesn’t make the year. Neither does one loss.
Tough to win in AZ though.
At least they’ve had historic success there. Pittsburgh? No so much.
I thought the Niners would learn to pass the ball “DOWN” the field!
You ever notice that the 49ers rarely go with a quick count?
They did it some last week.
The defense that gave up tons of yards to NE is shutting us down.
Good teams can throw the ball down the Field, you can’t tell me that every team the Niners play have pro bowl quality backs!! This is not all on Colin, the O-Line, the WR’s, the coaching staff!! All of them!!
Absolutely. The offensive line is the main culprit, imo. They simply don’t give him to time to set his feet, let alone let routes develop. Let’s hope they get coached up and improve as the season moves forward, but with meatballs like Devey and Pears being trotted out there every week, I’m not holding my breath.
Like Lon Simmons said back in 1980. this will either be the worst looss in recent memory, or the greatest comeback in NFL history.
Haha, now the Vikings are waxing Detroit.
Yeah, For years they just don’t design plays that get WRs open.
Maybe those plays are in there now, there’s just no time to get them the ball.
The first play will define the second half!!
Running the ball when you are down by 4 touch downs will not get it done!!
Yep no passing game,
Colin is taking a beating, where are those screens? Something to slow down the Steelers D
One thing is for certain, they’ll learn a lot more facing guys like Roethlisberger than they will facing guys like Bridgewater. With a lot of young guys in there, there’s going to be growing pains.
Not enough touch Colin.
Perfect throw. Fuck Vernon!
Vernon and Boldin with big drops. They’d better not overturn this 1st down. There’s no way to see enough to change it.
Screens aren’t working, Kevin. Too much pursuit.
This is unbelievable.
Back to running it up the middle?? Really?
Somebody explain to me why that isn’t a catch. 2 feet down, shoved on, he hits the ground with the ball and it’s incomplete.
I’m sorry, but Kaepernick has played a good game. 2 huge drops on this drive and your fucking FB can’t fall down without dropping the ball. He should be completing about 75% of his passes, with 150 yds and a TD. Awful line and receiver play. Bag Vernon Davis, go with Celek, McDonald and Bell, who may be the best receiver of them all and if Boldin continues what he started last year, dropping easy passes, sit his ass too and give White a shot.
That’s the rule Chuck, You know that.
What rule
Not maintaining control of the ball throughout the catch.
Y no td
Wtf
Young guys just love moving laterally on punt returns. Keep doing that and you’ll end up flipping burgers at BK.
Hayne should’ve been in there on that punt. There was room for him to do his thing.
Nice look off by Colin on the pass to VD.
What is he supposed to do? The football move on that play is getting hit and maintaining possession til he hits the ground.
What is fucking retarded is the ground can’t cause a fumble but it can cause in incomplete pass? That is asinine. I’ve been saying it since they instituted it.
He’s supposed to secure the damn ball throughout and he knows that. He just didn’t. But I agree the rule has taken it too far to the other extreme. Any word on Hyde? That hit he took in the first quarter was scary looking.
Bell looks like a stud in the making. VD should be looking over his shoulder.
Fucking Pears. What a piece of shit.
Don’t know what the official was looking out there. Out of bounds.
Just take it away.
Hyde’s knee s fine they took him our for concussion tests.
I agree we had the TD CHUCK
Had control three steps fell out of bounds 2yds slid 3 ball came out WTF
I don’t write the rules. It’s dumb but it’s on the books, for about 5 years now.
Kap’s skill guys are killing him this afternoon. Boldin hasn’t done shit but fuck up, Smith non-existent for the most part, VD all over the place, Miller bones the TD.
Wow, I thought that’d be overturned for sure. The replay showed he did get that right foot down. Exactly why I don’t make my living having anything to do with pro football.
Should be 29 – 17
Damn right.
Have they even laid a hand on Roethlisberger today?
Finally
Wow!
Nice. Showing some fight here.
Nice in stride pass!!
Where has that been all game long!!
corners looking weak in this game
what the fuck is acker doing on that play? Let that guy run around free?
OUCH! What a day……
Well we saw everything go right last weekend and everything go wrong today. Especially with the Defense. How do you give up 43+ points!!
Kap is winging it right now. 300 yds right around the corner.
DeAndrew is in the house!
Yeah this one pretty much hangs on the defensive backfield. 5 50+ plays.
Not much rush either, but 200 yards for Brown, the guy you NEED to account for?
They aren’t quitting. Seems minor in a blowout, but it’s important.
Jesus. Red zone concerns haven’t been dispelled.
Had a delay of game too. Sucks
Well, I missed the game. All I could gather was 37:00 Niners TOP. Check. 1 TO vs. 0 for the Steelers. Check. Worthless: 78% for a zillion yards, 3 TDs and a perfect passer rating. Aha.
Fuck
Broken collarbone for Romo. First Dez, now Romo. Tough luck, Jerruh, maybe next year. Though you’ll stay in first after today, 2 games ahead of the Gints and Iggles (1 on the Redskins? How’d that happen?). The Eagles regular season offense with Bradford has to be the worst in the league even with all those weapons. If this keeps up, Kelly is not long for the NFL.
TEEEEEEBOW! I can hear Philadelphia from here.
A comedy of errors – Philly gets a huge play with a steal-the-ball-from-the-receiver fumble. Next play, shotgun snap with no one on the line set and Bradford not looking, setting up his receivers. What do you call it when nobody is ready for the snap except the center? Oops. This is against the Eagles’ chief rival. Pa-the-tic.
I couldn’t watch today’s game. I get home to watch the debacle on DVR and it didn’t record. Anybody know when the NFL Network is re airing it?
No, idea, if they’re replaying it at all. Their schedule is way different than preseason.
Sir Spit is calling Chuck and Berger “morons” and “kiss asses.” Not very kind indeed!
Recognize the source, and the agenda attached to it Nipper.
Most of us live to see success in the face of these monumental changes.
Others take pleasure in the pains associated with those changes.
Chalk it up to a very bad day at the office.
Tom Coughlin is 0-2, as is John Harbaugh.
It’s the NFL. It ain’t easy.
Even that ‘Genius’ Chip Kelly is 0-2.
Awww. Poor Bakkenspittybuwwit. Only themselves to play with.
Tampa Bay goes into NOLA and bests Peyton and Brees too.
Sooner or later people are going to realize what a tool Rob Ryan is.
Hard to digest Peyton and Brees putting up only 38pts through 2 games, while Ryan’s Defense has allowed 58.
how did ODB-idiot get in here?
