The Age of Aquarius

As disappointed as I am about the Tomsula hire, some prominent players are fully endorsing him. This includes Anquan Boldin, Alex Boone, and notably, Vernon Davis. While there’s something to the whole inmates/asylum thing, and the additional fact that VD is in his contract year and should endear himself to the coaches, there has to be a certain amount of relief from the players. Boldin said it should be easier to play for Tomula over the notoriously high-strung and volatile St. Jim.

Beyond that, the only coach they are keeping is Tom Rathman. Good news as I think at this point it would be a good idea to keep Gore. He’s the heart and soul of this team, and this is a commodity they need to keep this train on the tracks. If Gore showed anything last year, it’s that he can thrive given some decent blocking. Give him a 2 year deal and let him ride off into the sunset. He can go about 15 plays a game and he, Hyde, and Hunter can all share duties.

Boone is onboard as well. Sure, kumbaya doesn’t equal wins, but a looser atmosphere could be what these guys need. Again though a lot rides on the staff Tomsula brings in. He’s been in the league a long time and hopefully has developed relationships with potential staff members. One can hope, anyway.

The guy I like at this point for OC would be Chud, the Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground dweller, Rob Chudzinski. He’s a tight end friendly coach who did wonders with Cam Newton his rookie year. Callahan would be OK I guess. He’s had his moments. Trestman? Ehhhh. He cratered in a big way in Chi-town, and his Canada work? Whoop-dee-fricking-doo.

  1. Oh my! Seattle ball via the on-side kick.
Brian Bostick is the new P****** R****

  2. Kap NEVER makes that 2 pt conversion pass like Wilson just did.
Unreal. Win or lose this game to GB, our Niners are going to remain bitches to RW and his Seahawks for the foreseeable future.

  3. The people who bet the OVER (46 1/2) are dancing in the streets.
Unless the game ends on a safety. That never happens. Never. Never.
    Has it ever happened?

  4. Russell Wilson if fucking money. Period. End. Of. Story. Fucking money.
    So money.

  5. Anyone still think that Kap is better than Wilson? Anyone? Bueller?

I assume Bostick, who totally botched that onside kick catch for the Pack, will be cut before the bus hits the airport…

  7. snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

This game goes to show you can’t blow chances in the Red Zone, gotta make those TDs, not FGs. Great clutch playing by Seattle. The Pack played like they were brain dead from mid way through the 3rd quarter…

  8. ewisco's avatar ewisco says:

what an epic choke job. and now we’re going to have to listen to the bloody seahags for another two weeks.

  9. snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

Bostick on the “hands team” on that onsides kick looked like VD trying to catch a frozen Jamba Juice…

  10. ST play in both these games have been horrific.
    Catch the goddamn ball!

Of all the collapses in NFL history, I’m having trouble coming up with one more epic than this. WTF were the Packers doing in the second half? Bostick. What do you say about that guy. What an idiot. Catch it, game over. He didn’t come close. Seattle had no business winning this game. The got it because the Packers gave it away.

And ewisco, you think you have to hear about the shithawks for two weeks? I live in Seattle and have to hear it from every angle, at work and at home and everywhere in between. The cocky, arrogants bandwagon fans are out in the streets right how, chanting. I hate this team so much. And we’re going to hire Lane Kiffen? Yeah, that’s going to work.

  12. snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

Seattle will win the SBowl now. They’ve had their bad game, and survived it…

  13. Alleykat's avatar Alleykat says:

Hey Bostick…. Need Preston Riley’s phone number 1-800 CHOKE
Biggest lay down in recent history!!
Now I have to suffer with the Shithawks again!!! Life is cruel..

  14. That was a horrible spot. At least a yd back. And Pagano couldn’t challenge (he could, but would lose a TO) because the result wouldn’t result in taking back a 1st dn?

The NFL needs to change some rules this offseason.
    A lot of goddamn rules.

  15. snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

If the Niner D the last four years had been paired with an offense QB’d by Rodgers, the Niners would have won at least two Super Bowls…

  16. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

How does Aaron Rodgers live with this one? Bostick’s moronity notwithstanding, he missed a ton of open receivers today, including an easy TD to Nelson in the first quarter.

    • Alleykat's avatar Alleykat says:

Doesn’t help that the D,decided not to show up the 2nd half after dominating the 1st.
Even that 2 pt conversion was a joke. Had Wilson all the way back on the 20, throws a Hail Mary in the air for 8 seconds, and no CB could knock it down??? Total BS!!! Without that gift, Crosby would have had a game winning FG instead of needing it for OT!!!

  17. Nipper's avatar Nipper says:

Seattle in the SB. Niners? Stuck in neutral at home. Damn the Niners have really fallen on hard times. It’s sickening…….

  18. Alleykat's avatar Alleykat says:

Josh Cribbs another hands guy on the punt, thanks for the gift 6 pts!!
Lots of fuckups in these 2 games, playoff pressure? Are just bone-head decsions?

  19. Even after his horrific start, and it was scary bad, Russell Wilson “nutted up” when the chips were on the line. I think it’s now time to elevate RW to the “elite” status among the NFL quarterbacking fraternity.

It’s a small exclusive club. You know the names. Time to add Russell Wilson to that list.

I still hate that pretty little bastard’s guts. And Golden Tate slept with your wife, fucker.

  20. Lurker John's avatar Lurker John says:

The Mouth from the South couldn’t even lift his arm over his head and I don’t recall one time when the Packers went after him after the injury. I can’t grasp this loss, but I do hate Seattle more than ever. Hate their guts. I’m ready for pitchers and catchers to report. The Giants will return sanity to my life.

    • Alleykat's avatar Alleykat says:

      Agree Lurker!!
Have some idiot Seashit fans at my local watering hole, that I will have to hear them crowing for the next 2 weeks how they dominated this game, yeah right! How many days till pitchers and catchers report for the Giants?

    • It’s an “odd year.” You know the pattern by now. Win a WS, take a dump the next one. Hell. I wouldn’t even bother this year. I’d give the team the entire year off. They’ve not only earned it, but the club deserves it. 162 gm vacation this year. Shoot the works in 2016.

If the Giants trot out a team this yr it’s 76 wins — at best.
Like Aaron Rodgers said, the SF Giants should just R-E-L-A-X this yr.
