Playoff Game Day 2 – The Electric Boogaloo

All revved up, and too much time before game time! 16 hours and counting. I still feel pretty good about the Niners heading for their 6th appearance in the holiest of holies, SUPER BOWL XLVIII!!!!!  Not sure if I have the Roman numerals right. Not sure how I’ll sleep tonight. Got the same gang of friends coming over, so we’re going to let it ride. Beer, steaks, maybe kill the morning replacing the lower tranverse link in my daughter’s car.  Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

Other than that BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Super Bowl time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Making some adjustments Fangio you lousy cunt

  2. Spitblood's avatar Spitblood says:

Fangio better start changing his strategy or the 49ers will lose the game. In my opinion, it’s all on Fangio. Get into a coverage scheme that makes Ryan win the game underneath. WE ARE NOT GETTING PRESSURE WITH OUR FRONT FOUR.

Well that was stupid, run the ball?? Really? This is the playoffs you go for it!! So many weapons and you run!! Playing not to lose again

  4. Spitblood's avatar Spitblood says:

I want to see Willis go off the field. I know it sounds crazy, but when the 49ers go with a nickle or dime coverage, Willis comes off the field. Bracket White and Jones. Make Gonzo and Turner beat us.

Kappy has played a terrific game when you consider the hole he was put into, and his lack of playoff experience. Very few young QBs would be able to climb out of a 17 point hole in the playoffs. Also VD and LMJ and Gore have played tough. But our defense has looked very mediocre, and our coaching has been poor at best. We have to play better in the second half or our season ends today.

  6. Grumpy Guy's avatar Grumpy Guy says:

Five Atlanta drives in the first half: 3 TDs, one FG, only one punt.

This needs to change if we are to have a chance of winning.

  7. B's avatar B says:

Grump: We’re getting bitched slapped 2 receivers who are just better than our DBs and a QB who has all day to throw

    • Grumpy Guy's avatar Grumpy Guy says:

We’re going to have to find a way to put some hits on him. I’d rather do it with four, but if we can’t, then we HAVE to blitz. Because we simply do not have the players to cover White AND Jones AND Gonzalez. Even if we drop eight every play, one of them will find a way to get open.

Niners are still going to win.

Well, 24-14 sets up what could be another wild one. I think this will be a lot of fun. I hope nobody switched to bowling.

Our D-Line is just laying a massive turd in the dome

  11. Spitblood's avatar Spitblood says:

The 49ers need to run the football, be patient, and they need to force the game underneath on defense. If the coaching staff does that, we’ll win and go to the Super Bowl. But big plays over the top of the secondary aren’t acceptable for a championship defense.

It’s almost as if the coaching staff is greedy and instead of Kaep buying his own shit, the coaching staff is buying their own shit. The coaching staff needs to change mid-game. Halftime adjustments are going to be huge.

  12. Rab's avatar Rab says:

Maybe 49er defense just isn’t good enough, no matter what Fangio does. You think he doesn’t know they need to pressure Ryan? Looks like SF can’t get enough pass rush (injuries to Smith’s) and the DB’s don’t match up that well. Give credit to Ryan and their receivers.

  13. Grumpy Guy's avatar Grumpy Guy says:

Right now, we are finding out how the Broncos felt, trying to cover Rice AND Taylor AND Brent Jones AND Craig. We just don’t have the guys to cover their WRs and TE. We need to hit Ryan, and get him out of that rhythm.

  14. Alleykat's avatar Alleykat says:

You know Jimbo is screaming at the D at half.
Fucking Ryan is carving them up.271 yards 3 TD fuck that….

    • Grumpy Guy's avatar Grumpy Guy says:

If the game stays close he’ll top 400 and maybe even 500 today unless we find a way to stop him.

  15. Grumpy Guy's avatar Grumpy Guy says:

Venus de Milo holds on to one!

  16. John_B's avatar John_B says:

Man, this kid has a once-in-a-generation arm.

    • Grumpy Guy's avatar Grumpy Guy says:

Yeah, and he is so mentally tough. Comes back from mistakes and the game is not too big for him. He is impressive as hell for a first year starter. Just one problem: he can’t help the defense solve their problems today. If they can get some stops we can still win.

  17. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

And D. Walker adds to his leading 16.4 yds/rec avg. It’s simple with him…
    CATCH THE GODDAMN BALL!!!

  18. Alleykat's avatar Alleykat says:

    Nice grab Walker,

  19. Grumpy Guy's avatar Grumpy Guy says:

24-21. Now the defense needs to show something. It’s up to them now.

  20. John_B's avatar John_B says:

The offense is dialed in right now and Kappy is showing how great he’s going to be. STEP UP DEFENSE!
