Wildcard Weekend

Here’s how I see it:

Hou over Cincy
Green Bay over Minn
Wash ove Sea
Balt over Indy

Cincinnati may pull this off, but I doubt it. The rest are pretty solid locks. Green Bay won’t lose both halves of a home-and-home series to Minnesota. Seattle, for all their recent glory, still struggles on the road. Indy is a very young team that is destined for greatness, but they are too green at this point to beat Balt in the playoffs.

As a sidenote, this scenario works out best for the Niners.

What do yo think?

Joe Webb will be the 1st QB in NFL history to start a postseason game after not attempting a single pass all season. Meh, passing is overrated. Run the wishbone.

  2. bigflavor's avatar Flavor says:

Ponder sucks, I don’t know a single thing about Joe Webb but I’m betting he beats the Packers. Well, as long as he can hand the ball off good ’nuff

  3. Alleykat's avatar Alleykat says:

It’s not Joe Webb starting. It’s Del Webb’s retirement home starting for Minn.

  4. bigflavor's avatar Flavor says:

I’m not changing my pick, I still think Minn wins this game……

Where’s my two bottles of booze? I plan on celebrating or drowning my sorrows in the upcoming 49er playoff weeks. Or did you forget, ye of the Alex Smith > Peyton Manning betting club?

  5. Chico's avatar Chico says:

I hope this second game is more exciting than the first..

Bring on whoever! I’d rather the Niners play the Packers though..

  6. Vikes will quickly fall behind GB- Rodgers will throw a couple TDs- and that will be all she wrote fer the Spud Webb squad.

Right at the minute we have 11 genius pigskin pickers nailing the first game for Houston: Chuck, Del Mar, Spitblood, Snarkk, Nipper/phil, NoFear, Grumpy, Barleyfreak, 12th Man, Alleykat …

I assume everyone is going to switch to GB now that Ponder is out?

  7. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

If GB loses tonight, there should be a public hanging of Mike McCarthy and his entire squad the next morning at sunup.

      • Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

“Whatever” That’s Raider-fan-speak for, “I have nothing else to say because my team finished 4-12 this year.”

        Whatever

      • DieHardNinerFaithfulSince2011's avatar shaman138 says:

Your beloved Broncos haven’t done anything yet so settle down, Beavis

    • Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

“Sunup” was the name of the horse that won when Chico was giving Groucho the business selling him those tout books in “A Day at the Races.” “Get your tootsie-frootsie ice cream.”

    • Spitblood's avatar Spitblood says:

Perfect world – Webb and Peterson beat the hell out of the Packers but the Packers win. I want to see Peterson punish some linebackers and safeties.

  8. DieHardNinerFaithfulSince2011's avatar shaman138 says:

Looks like the Niners running game is doing just fine…you guys still want them next week?

    • Chico's avatar Chico says:

Packers? I’ll take any one of these teams though, the Packers are given a discount with Ponder out tonight.. Webb doesn’t look good at all so far.

    • DieHardNinerFaithfulSince2011's avatar shaman138 says:

Err, I meant Packers running game. Oops.

  9. Chico's avatar Chico says:

The Viking OL sucks on pass blocking..

  10. miner's avatar miner says:

Ha ha. Webb is a friggin joke

  11. miner's avatar miner says:

    GB 42-3

  12. Spitblood's avatar Spitblood says:

Hopefully the Packers don’t score on their first possession in the second half. If they do, the game could get out of hand and the second half won’t be hard hitting. Either way, with Webb it’s safe to say we get the Packers at the Stick next week.

  13. Alleykat's avatar Alleykat says:

Good chance BF,goes O for the weekend.

  14. miner's avatar miner says:

    Webb makes Tebow look accurate

  15. Chico's avatar Chico says:

Really can’t blame him, but Webb sucks!

    Niners Packers? I like it!

  16. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Green Bay looks pretty damn ordinary tonight. I’m not too too worried next Saturday. The only thing to watch out for is getting behind quickly.

    • Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Repeat after me: NO team, that has Aaron Rodgers as its quarterback is ordinary. And leave it to you to verbalize upon the ends and outs of “getting behind quickly.” Keep your secretive gay porno life as “Buck Naked,” to yourself please.

Collinsworth is still whining about the 1981 Super Bowl. HAAA ha.

  18. Spitblood's avatar Spitblood says:

The 49ers will beat GB. I’m already starting to look past GB. Lol. ‘Hawks at the Stick or the Falcons on the road. Either way it’s a dirty bird. I’d rather have the ‘Hawks at the Stick.

  19. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

    Webb completed a pass!

  20. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

WOW! Opening line on the NE/HOU game is Pats -10. I was thinking 7, maybe 7 1/2. But 10? That’s even more Gatorade buckets that Alex fills on Game Day. His small hands prevent him from filling more than 7.
