Spectre of Doom over Miami

Moon over My Hammy? Hey, sorry, ended up in Denny’s last weekend trying to get out of town. I-5 was flooded in Stockton on our way to Paso Robles, so we headed east on 12 and it started raining so thick I decided to pull over. There was Denny’s and their Hobbit menu, and their idiotically named breakfast sandwich. Still raining like  a bitch so we turned around and went home.

Anyhow, back to the Miami game. As easy as this one sounds, the Dolphins front line does a good job of run defense (8th in the league), and getting sacks (6th in the league with 33), but that may be due to the fact that they give up so many yards in the air (27th in the league). So, the hope is the coaching staff lets things open up some to attack their weak secondary. Nolan Carroll particularly has been lit up most of the year, so attack him. Miami’s offense is a work in progress and isn’t really scaring anyone. They are 23rd passing, and 17th rushing, 28th overall, and 27th in points scored.

Just scored a pair of tix to the game (I’m taking my son), so I won’t have the pleasure of posting here on Sunday. $150.00 each for 2 on the 4o yard line, lower east (pullout) side. Guess I got to mothball my Smith jersey . . .

What in the hell is a sceptre of doom? A magic wand gone bad? A spectre of typos.

Hang onto that signed Smith jersey. Not that many around I’d bet.

“Scepter Of Doom” is what Roman pulls outta his butt when he’s thinking “Hmmm, 3rd and long, time to run frank up the middle”. This is also known as SOD.

That makes 30 TDs on the year and counting for Peyton Manning. But we’re better off with the guy who’s holding the clipboard. All we need now is Bobby Boucher to man the water, and we’ll have one helluva All-Pro bench team.

still having trouble feeling all ooey-gooey for Kap’s birth mom. I don’t think she’s doing this for money but she’s clearly enjoying the publicity with all the interviews. And she’s not really thinking about the pressure she’s putting on him “following him” on twitter and telling all the scribes how much she wants to meet him.
Here were a couple of tweets between her and Kap back on May 3rd:
    Heidi Russo ‏@heidirn1
@Kaepernick7 & respect your decision to have “no interest in ever meeting me.” I wish you nothing but the very best & couldn’t be happier 4u
    Heidi Russo ‏@heidirn1
@Kaepernick7 Read you comments in media about me. You have forgotten who’s loved you and taken care of you. You were a part of my family for

Anyway, this chick should just step back to the background and leave her *DNA* alone. If he wanted to meet her he would have, her pestering him about it isn’t making it happen and could even be a distraction for him…….

Her timing alone raises too many questions about her veracity.

Must be the Alex Smith psyops team behind this play.

      • bigflavor's avatar Flavor says:

well, she went to a few of his Nevada games trying to meet him. But still, that’s a legit D1 school and he’s the QB of the team so there were reasons for her to want to reach out to him that weren’t just all about “love you, just want to meet you”. Still seems like she cares more about herself than him right now……

I doubt it’s about money either. More a woman who made a decision she did not want, and has never come to terms with. Add in a little egocentric narcissism and voila.

Manning with a single TD pass v the raiders and just now couldn’t get it in from 1 on first down. The raiders suck, shouldn’t Manning have about 8 TD’s tonight?
Ha, I could care less about this gm but I’m rooting for the Raiders to win (and hopefully pound Manning’s dumb ass deep into the turf).

I got a ticket in a luxury box in Al Davis’ stadium a few years back. Just a gift from a friend.
You couldn’t see out of the plastic window screens.
The food was nice, though. I kinda wanted to watch the game.

  14. Del Mar have you lost yer mind? You put me up against Uncas Ugly Army and then bet on ME? You sir are a man of faith.

  16. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

And the Raiders bet the farm on Palmer. They have what, 3 draft picks in 2013? 3,4,& 5?

    Brilliant

  17. Winder's avatar Winder says:

Thank God we’re not Raider fans. I feel so sorry for em that I do hope Grudden comes in to clean up the mess. I made McFadden my #1 pick on most of my FF drafts, what an idiotic move that was. Anyway, I think we clean up our act this week and do a little old fashioned stomping on the fish. Great seats chuck, have some fun. 34-10 Niners

Looks like we’ll get to see AJ Jenkins this Sunday. Per Matt Maiocco, Manningham (shoulder) did not practice; CB Tarell Brown (hamstring) and LB Aldon Smith (shoulder) were limited.

I’m looking at Smith having a big day against the rookie . . .

And, in other news, Red Skelton is starting for the Cards against the Seahawks on Sunday. Good comedy there. Maybe he can perform a miracle and beat Sea in their house. Uh, right.

Has anyone looked less like a pro football coach than Dennis Allen ? Nolan, Singletary, Harbaugh: you can see any of those guys leading his men into battle. Allen? A raid on the library?Allen’s guys are getting flagged for “needlessly rude behavior”. Cable slugged an assistant coach, Allen spoke harsly to Amy’s secretary…
Sigh..this isn’t a team that needs a “Chuckie”, They need a slob. A “fat fuck”. A guy who eats a Turducken all by himself. Raw. Carson Palmer is a fine QB for the team now coached by Vinnie Ryan. Hell, anyone is the perfect QB for a team that wins by gouging the eyes out of the opponent’s players. The old Raiders survived on cocaine, Jim Beam, and IV PEDs. Bring ’em back.

    • Winder's avatar Winder says:

Lol. i think most of the old Raider fans survived on the same stuff too, sadly, many have departed for same reasons(excluding the IV PEDs, they were injecting other substances).
