Due to the new CBA, the byzantine OTA rules are as clear as the Mississippi mud. I don’t think players can hit each other yet, but they can LOOK pissed as they pretend. I think they can wear helmets, but no pads. Not much news out of those. But apparently LaMichael James and AJ Jenkins struck up a friendship at the NFLPA rookie premiere camp, whatever that is.
Other than that, Kyle Williams is trying his damnedest to stick with the team. If he can stay, fine. I just don’t want to see him fielding punts. The guy IS fast, but had trouble getting separation for long stretches of time last year. The WR field is now crowded, but he could stick as the 4th WR behind Randy, Mario, and Crabs. Jenkins? Well, he’s going to find his way into the mix. How much remains to be seen. The Niners likely keep 5 WRs so, he’ll probbably stick. If anything, he’s not shying away from his disastrous NFC Championship game. I like the kid, but shit, what coulda been is almost too hard to think about, even now.
Other than that, hopefully no one gets hurt in these non-contact sessions.

Williams is the current Roger Craig. What can you say, whatever team, there is always a what if play. Time to move on. What is it? 10 weeks till spring training?? Yawn wake my in mid August, I have Baseball right now. Go Giants!!!!
The only other news is LaMichael James can’t practice with the team until after he graduates in June 18th. He’s getting his Sociology degree.
Williams has none chance of making the team. The 49ers should do him a favor, not that he’s owed one and just release him so he might catch on with another team. You forgot about Ginn as the 5th WR. Williams would be battling for the 6th WR spot. Which is asinine if they keep that many. They’re already overcrowded at the RB spot with Miller, Gore, Jacobs, Hunter, James and Cartwright the STer. They can’t use 12 roster spots of WRs and RBs. Not unless they don’t plan on ever kicking the ball. But I see they just signed our MVP, Andy Lee to an extension. Lee’s been our best offensive weapon the past seven years.

Can you believe the difference a year made in this team? Good D got a lot better, Alex and the O got better with more to come as the off season progresses- better O Line, better WRs, RBs even a seasoned back up at QB.
Where were we last year at this time? Trying to figure how the new coach would work out. That was answered 14-4. Still trying to shake off the nightmare hangover of 8 years of piss poor leadership from the owner, GM and to the dumb ass coaches. Still bitching about the QB or lack there off. Still wondering if the coconut internet would ever work. Yeah big improvements!
