    And there’s this.

    From Snarkk:

    http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2011/12/02/BAGJ1M7SO0.DTL

Clear sailing? Really? When the shovel hits the ground, I’ll believe. . .

  2. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Now THIS is funny. Looks like Suh found something to do during his hiatus:

You’re not gonna give me credit for the link to that story?

That’s OK. If your credit score equaled the lifetime HRs by Duane Kuiper like mine, you wouldn’t get any credit either. It must be Christmas time already. I’ve donned my Santa hat and dipped into the eggnog. That spells “trouble” with a capital ‘T’ that rhymes with ‘P’ that stands for Palookaville, Robert Preston.

It’s not set to open until 2015. They can grab all the shovels they want. Hell, I’ll even let ’em borrow the one that I use to muck my stalls. The Mayans keep reminding me that it’s all gonna be over next December. If I only had a year left, I sure the hell wouldn’t spend it digging a goddamn hole.

And in keeping with the Niner contrarian that I am — 21-20 Rams.
That’s if Bradford starts. If it’s A.J. Feeley, I’m watching the Grinch.

    • phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

So da Rams just signed QB Tom Brandstater to their active roster. Prolly means AJ Feeley starts and the unknown Brandstater backs him up. So Feeley goes down under the 6 sacks chuck calls for and Brandstater comes in. Students the question in today’s pop quiz is: How many points can the Rams score given the above info?

My call of ’10’ seems too generous never mind 11, 17, 21. Maybe grumpyguys big fat “Zero” nails it. Sweeeet…..

  4. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

This SEC Championship Game is a goddamn joke. LSU is already most assuredly secured a spot in the BCS Championship Game and a rematch vs ‘Bama regardless of today’s outcome. And it’s showing early — listless doesn’t even begin to describe their play. If it wasn’t for the horrendous play by the ‘Bama QB and his receivers, the Bayou Bengals would really be in an early hole.

The only reason I’m watching this charade and mockery of NCAA football is because of all the NFL ready talent that’s assembled on the Georgia Dome field. Take your pick of the quartet of LSU D-lineman and he’d fit in just nicely in the red and gold…

    • Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

And as I heap praise on their DL, the Tigers front four are providing no pressure and getting pushed back at the LOS at the point of attack. I’ll repeat, this game is a GODDAMN JOKE. Best thing (which I’ll be doing) is to protest the B(C)S by NOT watching the LSU/ALA rematch.

      Playoff or fuck off!

    Scoring predictions VS Rams:

34-6 Niners barleyfreaks “Rams get shit on offense”
38-0 Niners grumpyguy “Love to see this score”
    30-10 Niners phil
27-17 Niners twinfan1 “This is the Rams Super Bowl”
    33-10 Niners snarkk
    35-3 Niners chuck “+6 sacks . . .”
21-20 Rams Del Mar “if Bradford starts…”

Flavor also has O/U on Bradford sacks @ 5.5 IF he plays, prolly same for Feely?

In my dreams; ” Rounding the clubhouse turn in dead last it’s Del Mar Dennis riding…riding…Is that a goat or a ram”

    • Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

The avg. predicted score by posters (not named Denny) is 33-11 Niners.

You guys are only giving the Rams 11 pts? I’d like to give the Rams an eleven myself…
He stands 6-4. Comes in at about 215 lbs. He’s meek, and he’s humble.
      Inherit that shit…

      • phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

11 is gonna be the # of sacks + # of intercepts the Rams endure tomorraw…

      • phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

        From E Branch @ Chron:

“The Rams are averaging the second-fewest points per game (12.7) in the NFL, and the 49ers rank first in fewest points allowed (14.6).”

Facts. These facts are annoying and troubling things, huh?

  6. twinfan1's avatar twinfan1 says:

Delmar going for loss 10- probably out of the Luck sweepstakes but with a big shot at McNabb for his fantasy team..

  7. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

Hold on a sec I’m going to check his ESPN FF stats:

McNabb is still available, looks like Denny wasn’t tempted. Luck we can’t draft until next year tho. Del Mar in 3rd place, 3 games outta first and 2 games ahead of the chuckster in the West.

We will not discuss my stats at this time (or ever)….

    • phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

I’m certainly leading Del and chuck in the Luck sweepstakes but will be very cautious after grabbing Bradford…and passing on E Manning this year.

      Fucking brilliant

  8. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

By the way has anybody ever heard of this “LOL Cohn” guy?

You may think I’m confused but no, not that. I’m just a little under the weather and the usual bad jokes have slipped a couple notches…

  9. snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

KInda fun article on Seifert. Yeah, Walsh left him a lot of gas in the tank, but ya’ know what? He didnt’ fuck it up, didn’t drive the hot rod into the ditch. Two SB wins as HC, and the ’95 SB was far enough removed from Walsh that it was really his win. Plus, he presided over that great young D backfield for the first ring, was DC for the next two rings — working with Walsh was certainly sometimes not a cup of chamomile tea. He was low key on the outside, but no doubt he could dial up the D, and didn’t Fuck up with a bunch of top D players. Hello, Philly. Here’s a salute to George, hope he helps celebrate a division championship today…

    • phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

Amen. Nice trip down memory lane…

    • grumpyguy's avatar grumpyguy says:

There were good things about George – he was a terrific teaching coach, and innovative on defense.

But the man could not evaluate talent for the draft, and neither could Dwight Clark when he took over the job.

Our failure at drafting in the 90s (Dana Hall… Todd Kelly… Israel Ifyeani (sic?)… J.J. Stokes…) was what toppled the dynasty.

I think the Niner defense is going to come out looking to bust some guys up. Feeley>? Ha, get ready for the division crown celebration. We’ve got soccer that will last until half time but I’ll catch the 2nd half either way.
For the love of God, sit Edwards for the rest of the year or until he can play healthy. I’d like to see Williams catch a TD pass or two today……….

Only in America can a guy (allegedly) point a gun at another man’s head and threaten to blow his brains out then play football later that week. McClain is active for the Raiders. I wish I knew someone who was prone to making death threats himself. That cocksucker McClain could use one.

I eschewed Sunday Mass this morning. I figure I’ll just watch Tebow play.
That’s a religious experience in and of itself. I hope Tim remembered to say a prayer for my fantasy team. Fuck Lazarus. They’re the ones who need to be resurrected.

  15. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

How bout that Hail Mary prayer that was answered for the Chiefs?
Not too shabby. And just a tad of luck.

It’s official: Sam Bradford is OUT.

It’s also official: I’m not watching A.J. Feeley vs Alex Smith.
I’d rather give Frank a bath.

    • twinfan1's avatar twinfan1 says:

So our supposed die hard 49er fan is not going to watch the game that could clinch their first playoff appearance in 9 years?
A three hour bath for Frank? He’s been rolling around in your bed again? Try changing the sheets first..

      • Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Do you honestly think I’m not gonna watch the game today?
I haven’t missed a single Niner game since ’73. But given the fact that it’s Feeley/Smith today, I’ll watch with one eye closed.

And as for Frank…he’s clean as a whistle. But the little bugger sheds like a sumbitch’.
I’ve never for the life of me have seen a Siamese shed like that. I’m sweeping up Frank hair 24/7.

Don’t look now, but here comes ANOTHER Tim Tebow 4th quarter miracle…

  16. twinfan1's avatar twinfan1 says:

Quite a battle looming- can Teblow pray his way into the postseason or can Hue talk the Raiders in?

  17. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Well the Raiders have obviously mailed it in today. I hope they enjoyed their night out on the town in South Beach. Truly pathetic effort today. Now they’re resorting to their old tried and true method of fighting and getting ejected. See ya later Seymour!

And Miami hits pay dirt again. And the beat goes on…the beat goes on…

  18. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

Hello, what’s this ?? Saint T Tebow got ’em tied w/ da Bronks all of a sudden?

Twin gave them this as a likely win SO–this is not gloating.

I’m an idiot, a fucking clown. I see a thing on NFL.com, for 30 bucks you can watch any game. I’m in, I think. I want to watch em clinch it. But wait, what I signed up for was their Rewind package (I guess), I can watch any game AFTER it’s done.
What a fucking maroon! What an embezzle! What an ultramaroon!
OK, back to my none paid channels.
Time to kick some Ram butt.

    • phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

Yeah Bozo they have a bunch of packages, it’s confusing. Over here we only get the “Audio Pass” and some weak live stream stuff

    • Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Sorry to hear that, Bozo. But if it’s any consolation, I thoroughly enjoyed your Bugs Bunny references. Maybe you shoulda taken that left turn at Albuquerque…

  20. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Denver INT!!! Tebow’s on the verge of another comeback…

  21. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

    Jesus Christ wins again!!!

  22. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Feeley had him wide open on 3rd dn and threw behind his WR…couple that with Alex’s early misfire to VD on 3rd dn, and you can see why I’m not watching with eyes wide open.

Hey, remember that flick, “Eyes Wide Shut?” Sure you do. Nicole was naked in that one…

  23. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Shit. Both the Bears and Falcons took a shit in the woods today.
But they still hold the final two WC spots. No harm no foul…

  24. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Alex was lucky that tipped ball wasn’t intercepted. He’s had lots of luck on his side so far this year. Come playoff time luck gets superseded by quarterback talent. Enter Messrs. Romo, Brees and Rodgers…

  25. twinfan1's avatar twinfan1 says:

    So Teblow intercepted the pass?

  26. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

We’re not exactly burning up the RZ

  27. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Tebow’s passing stats for today: 10/15 for 202 yds and 2 TDs. 149.3 QB Rating.

    He is Jesus Christ.

  28. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

    Willis hurt. Hamstring?

  29. Flavor's avatar Flavor says:

I don’t mind Tebow but I’m certainly not happy for him. denny, you seem quite enamored with football players that aren’t Niners, your supposed favorite team. Tebow fucks up countless times a game. Do you drop a death threat on him for each mistake he makes???

  30. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Shit. We lose Willis, we LOSE.

  31. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

I tell ya Denny, you got some folks fooled around here. That’s what yer paid to do right?

For some reason this doesn’t bother me. I guess I missed some bloody battles earlier

    • Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

My little and humble hometown (Pinole) had it’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony last night. The PVHS marching band provided the music. I’ll be goddamn if those bastards didn’t play one Christmas tune. The closest holiday song I got was “Holiday” by Madonna. Not a jingle bell or sleigh ride to be found.

  32. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

Frank’s now the 9ers leading rusher but we cannot get into EZ. Scary…

  33. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

  38. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Just backtracking a moment if I may…WTF did Jimbo run Alex on that option play? That’s asking for trouble. We already lost our best overall player to a bad hammy. Might as well lose the one who touches the ball on every play.

    Mooks.

  39. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

I think we might wanna work on some Red Zone efficiency next week.

I betcha Jesus Christ woulda scored a TD from there…

  40. Kevin's avatar Kevin says:

I don’t know what the story is with the offense, but if this team does not start scoring in the red zone. The play offs will be one and done!!!

  41. Kevin's avatar Kevin says:

Scoring TD’s is what I meant

  42. grumpyguy's avatar grumpyguy says:

Alex should have had a TD. Unfortunately, VD is the most overrated tight end in the NFL.

Lots of speed and brawn, but not as much production as you’d expect. Hands of stone, brain of shit.

  43. grumpyguy's avatar grumpyguy says:

Terrible offensive first half in my opinion… way too many mistakes and missed opportunities. Good enough to be beating the horrible Rams, anyone better, not so much. Jimbo needs to get this sorted out.

    • Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

The weekend of Jan. 14 at the ‘Stick. Enter Drew Brees and Co.
Cue “Dandy” Don Meredith and Co. Turn out the lights…

    • phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

Puzzling, we are very inconsistent. QB/WRs not connecting reliably. It’s Frank or bust.

And he’s got the 3rd most carries in the NFL…

  44. Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

I have Chris Long starting in our yahoo! league.

Alex Smith must go down. And he must go down hard.

    • twinfan1's avatar twinfan1 says:

Now rooting for injury. I have no idea why Chuck tolerates you anymore.

      • Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

They you go again putting words into mouth. All I did was make mention of a Chris Long (fantasy team member of mine) sack of Alex. That’s worth 3 pts. If Long would have caused a sack and a fumble, my fantasy team would have started a parade…

  45. twinfan1's avatar twinfan1 says:

Alex was definitely off target after VD’s drop. He’ll need to back on track for the second half..

  46. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

Larangitis ain’t so bad either. Edwards and Morgan being out really really hurts. But I want AS to burn the Rams

  47. twinfan1's avatar twinfan1 says:

What a bunch of dumb shits

  48. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

“Fly sweep” option run by Ginn for 20 yards.College play. Worked pretty good that time

  49. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

Nice nice pass by Mr Smith to Crabtree for TD

  50. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

Giants can’t stay ahead of the Pack

  51. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

grumpy may get his wish: 38-0. We are almost half way there. But the Rams are gonna be hard pressed to get 10 points

  52. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

We suck in the RZ but got a hell of a good kicker.

I’d say we are looking at 10-2 and the Division. Offense playing better but still inconsistent

    • Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Question? If we beat the Rams 38-0 but lose Patrick Willis for the rest of the year did we really win?

Better question: In hopes of winning the SB, would you rather have the Bye and no Patrick Willis the rest of the way? Or, have PW for the playoffs but have to play the Wild Card Weekend?

  53. phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

    How many sacks we got?

    How about interceptions?

    Hello? Hello?

    I predicted 11 total of the 2…

    phil fan paging the US….

  54. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

3 sacks (Grant, McDonald, Smith), 1 pick (Goldson).

    StL has 4.

  55. Kevin's avatar Kevin says:

A touch down a field goal, Harbaugh had better call passing plays the rest of the game, to see what exactly is wrong so they can work on shit before the playoffs.

    • phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

There’s your guy Williams chuck, TD

      nice

      • Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Phil, let’s get one thing straight:Kyle Williams is MY guy! My apologies to Mary Wells. If you go back into the history records of Chuck’s now defunct old blogspot, you’ll find my “notes” back when he was a Sun Devil and when he practiced at the Senior Bowl. I know the Pac-10 (12 now) just as well, if not better than the next guy. I pretty much do two things on Saturdays in the Fall — watch horses and college football. I like to think I’m a better man for it. 😀

      • phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

Ah okay Del, won’t make that mistake agin. Thanks for the history lesson. I wasn’t ‘brave’ enough to post on the old Unca Chucks.

  56. grumpyguy's avatar grumpyguy says:

    Damn Kyle Williams is fast.

That’s 26 – convert three FGs after misfired deep passes into TDs, it would be exactly 38-0.

    • phil fan's avatar phil fan says:

And you would take over from barleyfreaks as the pigskin prognosticator par excellence, lol

I think he fingered one of those John Madden turduckens to the bone for Thanksgiving.

Hey! There’s my guy Kyle Williams making an impact. And how! Don’t you forget how I told you guys bout him coming outta ASU two yrs ago. He was their LONE offensive weapon. The only reason he didn’t get a chance to shine his rookie yr was because of Sing and Jimmy Hat. #10 is a play making fool. Get him in some open space. Good things happen…

  60. Kevin's avatar Kevin says:

GB is well coached. That was a great time to take a knee and not burn clock.

  73. Kevin's avatar Kevin says:

Watching Rodgers is why the Niners had better get their passing game going!

    • twinfan1's avatar twinfan1 says:

      Yeah, 17 for 23, 270 Yds 2 TD 142.3 QBR really sucks.

      • grumpyguy's avatar grumpyguy says:

Alex had a good game – only one throw he probably wishes he had another shot at, the deep ball to Ginn that he threw out of bounds. The two other missed TDs are on Crabs and Big Time on VD.

Let’s face it, the Rams are lousy – they are playing their junior varsity on defense.

A playoff team will play us tougher. I don’t like leaving those opportunities on the field, and we cannot do that against NO or GB. We still have to improve on the offensive side of the ball.

      • Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

Jesus Christ registered a 149.3 rating today.

Alex is a disciple of Christ — at best! Speaking of which…

  75. Kevin's avatar Kevin says:

38 points, when was the last time the Niners scored 38?

  76. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

October 9th they scored 48 vs TB

  77. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Kevin, Crabs and VD both dropped TD passes in the 1st half. For as good as Smith did today, the numbers should have been better.

  78. Flavor's avatar Flavor says:

I’m on board with Frank and Alex being the first ones to take a bow for the Candlestick crowd with everyone taking their bow after that, but Jed York should have been given *first bow* honors as well. He hired Baalke, a hire that almost no one liked, and that dude went on to hire Harbaugh and make free agent/draft moves that were almost perfect across the board. York finally put the right guys in place and he deserves huge credit for that. If Harbaugh and Baalke aren’t in charge this team isn’t where it is today…….

  79. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Good, bad, or indifferent, the teams needs to do a better job in the red zone. The play calling got a bit conservative on those early drives in the red zone.

It’s all good, though. Smith should have had better numbers than he did. The 2 dropped TDs would have put him at 340 yards, 4 TDs.

  80. Utter's avatar Utter says:

I’ll admit, I didn’t they would go 10-2 when the season started. And York, Baalke deserve a lot of credit. But none of this happens if Harbaugh doesn’t insist Alex is his guy.

  81. Utter's avatar Utter says:

As I was saying….ah, fuck it.

  82. twinfan1's avatar twinfan1 says:

Utter, I don’t think that there’s any doubt that the lock out had a lot to do with Harbaugh maklng Alex the guy- but aren’t we lucky that he did! And “Mr. Clutch” had his highest QBR rating ever in the biggest Niner game in 9 years…

    • Del Mar Dennis's avatar Del Mar Dennis says:

You have the audacity and unmitigated gall to call Alex Smith, “Mr. Clutch?”
My friend, you are droll. Droll, droll, droll… And please tell me again how Alex is going to win a playoff game? He, and what army?

I’d rather have my money on Drew Brees Speaking of which, here he comes…

Ah, shit. A Saints’ rushing TD.

Drew Brees vs. Alex Smith. That’s no contest.

And as I speak, Brees connects on a 60+ yd TD. I have only one word for that…

      Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!

All I am saying is those drops cannot happen against a team like GB, NO, or NE. Two or more mistakes on offense can be the difference in winning an losing against those teams

It’s what his coach calls him- fuck off, troll boy.

Hey, lemme ask you parents and/or grandparents a question…I have to get sumthin’ for Christmas for my next-door-neighbor’s grandson. He’s almost 6-years-old and loves the Niners. He plays fullback/linebacker for his schools’ team.

    That being said, TD BREES!!!

  86. twinfan1's avatar twinfan1 says:

Unfortunately, it’s looks like I was right when I said the Lions were a 9-7 team ( when they were 5-0 ). I’ll still root for a miracle tonight, but it’s not lookinng good..

Seems like other teams aren’t going to give us much help with seeding. Let’s just get NO at home and go from there

You know what would make my night complete?

If TF told me he would rather have Alex Smith than Drew Bees come playoff time.

You really wanna tuck me in?

Tell me in detail, how Alex Smith is better than Tony Romo…

  89. Berger's avatar Berger says:

Del- Get him an Alex Smith jersey!

  90. Berger's avatar Berger says:

Did Romo beat the Cardinals today? Please tell me in detail, how Romo is better than Smith?

  91. twinfan1's avatar twinfan1 says:

We have a one game lead and the tie breaker. Hold onto the bye and there’s no guarantee NO even gets out of the first round. They choked against Seatlle last year..

  92. twinfan1's avatar twinfan1 says:

Death Threat has come a long way from calling Alex the worst QB in football to saying he’s not as good as the 3rd best QB in football (Brees)..

  93. twinfan1's avatar twinfan1 says:

How embarrasing it must have for Drew to be out dueled by Feeley..

  94. Kevin's avatar Kevin says:

TF it is only a matter of time before DD comes around. He won’t admit it but he sits in front of his TV and cheers Alex on just like we all do. He posts his crap to get a rise out of everyone, especially you!

My cat, Frank, is really cute. He keeps begging to jump up on my shoulder.

Son of a bitch! As I speak that little blue-eyed bastard just bit my rt. arm.
Now the sumbitch’ left me for the “cat’s-eye-view” on my terrace.

    Where’s the loyalty?

  96. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Romo will forever be Mr. October. Even Mr. November. But when it comes to crunch time, he sucks balls.

Twin., NO is a bettter team this year. Last year, they lost all their RBs to injury. This year, they are running much better. Can we beat them? Sure. It has to be a Niner home game though.

At some point, the Niners need to mix in some blitzes. Brees can do stupid shit as much as the next guy under pressure all day.

  97. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Detroit wants to rival the Raiders for stupid penalties. Christ, Titus shoves a guy and does it while standing next to the ref. 3rd and 1 from the 3 becomes 3rd and 16.

  98. twinfan1's avatar twinfan1 says:

Frank is a CAT? How do you get the hair off of your tongue after you bathe him?

  99. Berger's avatar Berger says:

The Saints could be the best home team this year. I think they would be the favorite at home vs any team. We won’t find out since any game vs GB will be on the road. The Lions just pulled to within a TD. Is it possible?

  100. Berger's avatar Berger says:

TF- I would guess he could use one of those sticky rollers, like the the one I use for dog hair on my slacks.
