Throw Another Lamb Chop On the Barbie

Ready or not, here we go. Another clusterfuck of an offseason has finally ended. This team can’t seem to get out of its own way sometimes. And that’s just the coach and the owner. And the pretender.

Lots of story lines for this one. Niners vs Rams. Early arrival vs late arrival. Home field for SF on the 8,000 mile road. NFC West supremacy. Purdy vs Stafford. Yadda yadda yadda. Game one becomes a pretty big deal.

Fact remains though that the loser of this game is suddenly down 2 games to their division rivals. Well, still a game back of Seattle as they didn’t play a division game, but still as with last year, our fast start got us into the playoffs and almost the #1 seed. Even with all the mayhem.

On a side note, I still find is pretty funny how little respect Purdy gets from the league at large. Guys like Prescott and Herbert are the ‘class of the league’ Herbert? 0-3. Prescott? 2-5. Drake maye is ranked 4th. Woo hoo. Shit, even Josh Allen is 8-7. The #1 QB in the league has not won an AFC Championship game. Much as I can’t stand Mahomes, the dude can win under pressure in the playoffs.

But all the wonks in the league gush over Prescott’s gaudy stats as he beats up on the also-rans in the NFC Least. And Drake May is suddenly God’s gift to the QB spot because he had the easiest schedule in the NFL last year.

Yeah, football is a team game, but come playoff time, guys like Herbert, Allen, and Prescott especially need to show me more if they are to be thought of as great QBs to me. Prescott has done the least with the most. Dallas is ALWAYS near the top in offense and has had a solid defense. Well, except for last year.

But, as with all these weekly ‘power rankings’ and other bullshit lists, what really counts is out there on the field.

Bring it on!!!

Things can sure turn quickly in the NFL and the 1st game just proved that with injuries to Darnold & even more significant to AJ Brown high ankle sprain with the Patriots might have to consider IR for 4 games!

And with Romeo Doubs looking like dogshit dropping a big play easy catch game changer ( 0-2 no catches)and Pats getting rid of WR Boutte recently they now will regret are in bad shape in the receiving core.. not to mention RB Henderson is still injured so welcome to the NFL constant injury list every week, every team,as Winder would say ..

  2. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Darnold will miss at least one more game. We’ll see about the rest. Word is they would go after Jimmy G as their backup!

    Now THAT would be funny.

  3. Winder's avatar Winder says:

I am really excited to see what we can do.

  8. Winder's avatar Winder says:

I would think Evans should have been out there on that 3rd down

  9. blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

Touche! We get one (pick) too!

    Black running strong good sign.

TD Purdy to D Rob on go route!

  11. Winder's avatar Winder says:

The rams are playing better football than we are. Black can’t find a hole and purdy looks a little jerky

  12. Winder's avatar Winder says:

I must be watching a delayed broadcast on netflix

Nice tribute for John Brodie as the Niners wearing his #12 emblem on their helmets, hopefully for the season..

  15. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Yeah. Brodie was my first favorite QB back in the day.

Stribling’s injury looks bad. Tonges not sure. The injury bug continues.

Need more pressure and we need to take this kickoff and get 7. Put these fuckers on their heels and make them play catchup. All about the pressure.

Black missed a couple holes but he’s running strong. 3 drops too.

Oh fuck. The half hour half time show.

    There you fucking go!!!

If we can get pressure we are gonna win going away

  17. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Damn! Jst got to get out of the end zone

  18. Bob McMurry's avatar Bob McMurry says:

out of their endzone no problem plays to TE,Deebo , Black&CMC now at 50 yard line, and Purdy for 20 more in a run!! Fuck the Rams keep beating them down!!!

  19. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Run game looking strong. Loved the Kittle circle to block the outside.

  20. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Fuck Yeah!!!! Not to get ahead of myself but the Rams defense is gassing out.

Super Bowl Win, Purdy Please
