I see this Season starting with lots of motion and ground attack.
Our OL is going to take time to adjust to the new system, however, a WCO should help them once Alex and the WRs get into the necessary rhythm.
Game 1, lots of Gore and Hunter, 9ers win a close one. I do expect Harbaugh to take some deep shots though, VD and Braylon will be a nice duo.

Predictions are so tough with this team because its a walking wounded football team almost every single year but here goes:
I figure that if they could get 12 wins out of that motley crew last year they should be able to do it again this year. The Rams have all the stars on their team but that just never really works out the way it says it should on paper. The Seahawks are not quite the team they were last year and repeating back to back is really a tall order, SB hangover is a real thing.
Maybe I’m being a homer but I have all 3 making it but Niners, Seahawks and Rams in that order.
The Athletic put three of our division in the top ten They had the Rams at 1 and iirc seattle either 3rd or 4th, and us at 6th or 7th. My memory sucks. 10-7 playoffs.

Oh I might miss some of the game, going in for total knee replacement surgery tomorrow. Surgery is at 7:50. So I am hoping to be home by 6:00. Of course I will be drugged. Outpatient surgery

NE is way overrated. They are gonna crash and burn this season.
Well if her knee/knees go bad she should just do it, it is life changing, I did my left knee in 2023, went from barely being able to walk around my block to walkingg my dog pain free. It is very painful but the pain eventually goes away.
Prolly in the next 5 years. She had her last one last year and she has recovered fine.

Predicting 11 wins, but hoping for more. NFL is difficult enough to play week in and week out. Key is the first game, i.e., navigating a tough travel schedule this season and a difficult second-half slate, makes it uber important that they take this Oz game.
Just me, but I think Shanahan has outdone himself (and I dislike the guy) getting the team over there in plenty of time to prepare for this game. Conversely, the Rams have made a tactical mistake arriving late (as Unc pointed out in the previous thread).

Well its finally here, feels like it took a really long time for some reason.
Now teams have 3 preseason games and limits on practices we get to see the first few games are a bit sloppy, like last night.
One thing about that though is even a couple of losses right out of the gate no longer means its statistically a long shot to win a division. The first couple of games are effectively semi preseason.
NE literally threw that game away, Drake Maye believing his press releases? Could be.
Niners fans will make the cricket ground a home game so McVay’s crafty plan will backfire on that front but he still gets to put the travel miles on the division team he most fears, smart move.
I see Greenlaw is on limited practice list with an achilies. I was against bringing him back because of his injury history, but now he’s on the team and has a starting role they need to really baby him through between games.

Maye still has a huge learning curve in football he was rattled to no end in the SB against Seattle and last night 2nd half he was just awful throwing 3 picks up for grabs and especially the last one already in FG range atleast for OT was inexcusable a more seasoned vet would not throw.
But hey great for me cause I have Seahawks DST in fantasy football and Maye’s 3 picks helped get 14 FF points a good start for my weekend!
Seattle was playing off coverage early and got more aggressive as the game went on. It rattled Maye. All the picks were desperation/prayer throws. All were in tight coverage.
This is my deal with Purdy. He’s not nearly as careless but he does throw too many picks.
yeah watched Orlosky (and stunning Laura Rutledge yeow) go over each of the bad throws and misreads during 4th quarter picks. Still NE was in position to tie game bad as he was and he burned their safety blitz couple times. thought final score could have been lot worse.
idk was little surprised NE could get ball into FG range at end vs. Seattle D but they did and even made yardage on ground. Maybe they aren’t in mid season form yet but NE could have at least tied it up which would have been surprise itself on road.
Seattle running back from ND looks like beast though, bad sign even if Darnold might be out a while.
FG range has become midfield. Norwood’s miss (35 years ago!) would be considered a chip shot today…
