Something, Anything . . .

Just a new thread to kick off the battle for the NL West cellar. The Bay of Pigs so to speak.

And, in shocking news Brandon Aiyuk didn’t show up for OTAs. And in other shocking news, Issac Guerendo was injured in the offseason lifting weights, so he’ll likely start the season on the PUP list.

From there, it’s off to the pet store I guess. He and BA may never play another snap on the NFL.

Weird times indeed.

No challenge on the 3rd strike. Throwing to 2nd with a runner on 3rd. Catcher misses the throw. We are the dumbest team in existence.

Shit is just laughable. They were saying the other day that AZ scored 3 runs on outs.

Gotta say that long loping Eldgridge swing reminds me a little of Willie McCovey.

Bunting in the 3rd? In Colo?

  3. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

Pence huh? Good situational running by Eldridge tagging up and going to 3rd (Bader)scoring on Adames sac fly! Shit both balls we’re hit to the warning track they better get a run out of that.,

Webbie running up his pitch count.

Not surprised only one rehab start playing in Coors doesn’t help your control.,

RONNIE WOTUS 1-1 sending a runner home that Borg would have held up!!

Speaking of ex-Giants draft picks, Reynolds 2-run HR bottom 9th gives Pirates 6-5 win over Twins.

I miss the Giants having an alpha GM. Sabean to Baer’s President of Ops etc. Farhan ran the show with 2 GMs I don’t even remember their names. Now Buster seems to be trying to run the show with Minasian, who seems about as light weight as they come. I trust Buster’s baseball instincts, but I think he needs an alpha GM to make the right things happen. HireSabeanNow! Haha…..

Almost June 1st, and Chapman with 1 bomb (nope, not a typo).

  11. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

If there’s a will there’s always a way with this fucking Giants team to blow a 3 run lead and have it tied up at 6-6 on a 3 run jack V begging on the challenge but clearly fair..Now another loss is expected for sure..

  12. blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

Are you fucking kidding me??? HAHAHAHA . . . Fucking inept $&%*^ Giants!

  13. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

And Ballgame I just called it this team sucks donkey dick in so many way!

  14. blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

How the hell do you blow a 6 to 3 lead in the 9th inning?

Answer: Contact Giants manager for blueprint & directions.

  15. MrSrtdude's avatar mwrymer says:

Semi retired. More time. Get the mlb network they say. It will be cool to see all the Giant games for the 1st time since I moved from the bay area in 1985 they say. Just when you can’t think it can get worse it does. Every day!

At some point you have to start thinking about cleaning house and firing Posey and the manager!

I’m literally laughing at this POS Giants squad. Let this tire fire continue on into an existential black hole of failure so that a blowing up and rebuild can start.

This sinking ship is the proverbial laughingstock of he league.

They surprisingly succeeded in actually adding on to some extent, but still could not close it out.

That Rockies infield dribble that hit the 1b bag for a hit to start all that end game nonsense is so appropos of this disaster. Just perfect.

Buster, what are you going to do ?…

    • blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado says:

Yeah, you indicated weeks ago that it was a lost cause. Spot on at the time snarkk . . . Now? They have a .386 win %, so the goal should be to not lose 100 games. Almost a certainty that’s going to happen in my opinion.

      • snarkk's avatar snarkk says:

That 1985 team that lost 100 games under Davenport at least had an excuse — they had no talent. I don’t remember much of that season, if anything, but I do think that they did not make as many stupid, mental errors. They didn’t look like they didn’t know how to play, or like they cared to play. They just didn’t have good players. This current team supposedly has some stars on it making a ton of money. I think if this team loses 100+, it will go down as more of an embarrassment than 1985.

  17. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

Well the positive this time they didn’t add on to their 0-30 trailing after 6 innings, they decided to choke one late instead with a lead..

  18. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

WHen i stopped watching it was 3-1 in the 7th. Wow.

Problem is, since the management doesn’t care, they can simply keep rearranging the deck chairs to no avail.

This may not change until they sell the team. In what, 25 years? Ever?

This storied franchise is now in the dark ages.

    • Paul Sorensen's avatar Paul Sorensen says:

Do the Johnsons own any horses? Prized possessions? Would a severed head in the bed of old man Johnson with a note “Sell the team, dickwad” do any good?

  19. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

So who’s the closer now? Dookie Houser?

    • Paul Sorensen's avatar Paul Sorensen says:

Closer? We don’t have no f-ing closer! My goodness. I’ve never been a “tear it all down” guy, figured they could slowly evolve into the team they want to be. But it’s time. When Theo Epstein took over the Cubs in 2011, he tore it down. 3 years of last place finishes, but everyone knew it was an investment in the future. At this point…. yeah, do that.

    • RF: Chili Davis
    • 3B: Chris Brown
    • RF: Dan Gladden
    • 1B: David Green
    • LF: Jeffrey Leonard
    • C: Bob Brenly
    • SS: Manny Trillo
    • P: Atlee Hammaker

I would take this lineup over todays any day of the week. At least we had an outfield then. And I think Uribe was SS and Trillo was 2nd
