Something like that. Bosa has been ethereal in his approach to rehabbing his torn up knee this time around. Ignoring social media (like we all should) and not rushing back into action like he did back in 2020. He has becomea big reader, gotten into meditation, and done things to quiet the external demands and implications of being ‘the man.’ The mental health aspect of all this is a pretty bug deal as he started last year on fire, getting a strip-sack of Sourdough Sam to seal the early win vs Seattle, and generally harassing the Rattler in the win over the Saints only to suffer a season-ending injury early in the Cards game.
He says he’ll be ready for the Rams game in Australia. Hope the rest of the team is also somewhere near healthy. If we can get through a season in relative health, I like our changes. I’m excited about this new more aggressive defense, and hopefully our offense can be more balanced. The run game was awful last year, and we still haven’t really found a backup that can gain consistency behind CMC.
This is of course predicated on the offensive line but don’t get me going on that . . .
Well, another day, another loss.
Harrison tying his career high in Ks with 12. Justly rubbing his botched development into the Giants management’s faces.
IDK if there is a floor to this team’s free fall. 15 games under water means 90+ losses is definitely in the mix the way they look. 100 losses? I would not bet against it.
Sitting Eldridge on the pine now in any game is ludicrous, insane…
farcical, maniacal…
Tied with the Rockies record if they win this evening, which looks likely. Ugh.
Last place. In all of baseball. But yeah, let’s bench Eldridge for dead Kennedy.
What fun these guys were.
Some are new (Kennedy), some are older (Beck), but I look at the roster and see at least half a dozen players that beg the question “Why is this guy even on the team?” With the amount of money the Giants org has, there is no excuse for this, other than apathy and/or incompetence. If that’s how it is at the top of the organization, the tone is set down to the players. I commented recently that this is not a serious team. I keep waiting for them to prove otherwise.
Just had a nice cold oil can of Foster’s for the first time in decades. Was excellent…
It used to mean something to be a drunk…
Functional anyway.
Chuck is there a plan on how to manage the football/baseball overlap as we move into camps and pre-season?
I read Bergers thought on it and currently the reason I personally have stopped posting is because whatever point was being discussed will be drowned out when the next Giants game starts so its a bit futile.
I get the interactions are greater for baseball and that there isn’t much going on in football but that will change. Maybe you can do 2 threads titled as whatever the baseball and football news of the day is and hopefully posters will try to keep it separated?
I’ve enjoyed my time on your blog but I’m a Niners fan so I’m hoping you can figure something out. Ultimately its your gig so feel free to tell me go fly a kite.
I could split this up somehow. I’ll think about it. if the Giants keeps sucking like this, the problem may take care of itself.
12th.. the 49ers signed a nice depth piece also a great ST player for Boyer will like as a gunner ace in former Cal Safety track guy with speed 6’1 205 veteran Ashtyn Davis and could get some time in a rotational situation along with Mustpha,Brown Sigle so it seems like a potential diamond in the rough definitely adding to a strong Safety postion..
New thread is up.
