Yeah, it’s football down-time as we all wait one more month and change for the draft, but the 49ers have actually done a pretty solid job of getting some free agents, signing their own free agents, and even completing a trade with the dreaded Cowboys. Hopefully as devastating a trade as the Charles Haley one was, but I’m not gonna hold my breath.
We’ve shored up the O line, a little. We traded for a real good DT Osa Odighizuwa, signed safety Nate Hobbs from GB, signed Mike Evans from the Bucs, kept Jake Tonges and Eddie Money Piniero, and even reunited with Dre Greenlaw. And Nick Bosa reworked his contract to gain the team $17 mill in cap space. Did he do it go get his brother onto the team? I guess we will see, but neither is very sturdy these days, so, uh, no.
That leaves the draft. As much as I want this team to build the line, they really need to do something about the opposite side of Bosa. But they need to expend some high picks on the O line though so I guess it’ll come down to who’s available. There are a lot of DEs in this draft. And WRs.
*gulp*
Don’t do it, Shanny!
In baseball news, Team USA, behind Logan Webb, beat Canada 5-3 as Webb went 5 strong innings and got the win. They are now in the semis against the powerhouse Dominican Republic team.

Come on down Dre!
Complimentary article about Dakota Jordan being a “sleeper pick” for the Gmen.
https://aroundthefoghorn.com/sf-giants-outfield-prospect-identified-as-sleeper-pick-to-be-on-2027-top-100-list-01kkmcsmtxq1
Will be a few years before he sees the big club though . . . if ever.
Yeah Blade,I like the potential of Dakota he has the tools to be a future contributor, speed power, arm just like other prospects just add more contact and less K’s helps!
I’m also really excited by Bo Davidson another prospect who might make the jump this year, big LH bat outfielderwith a sweet swing. Also the 2 players they got last year in trades are looking good, infielder Parks Harber and Catcher Jesus Rodriguez who seems to hit at every level consistently..
AK, what do you think of Josuar Gonzalez (No. 30 ranked in MLB)? I like his speed and defense. He should add power as he grows/ages . . . He did pretty good in his first minor league season last year. Anyone else chime in too . . .
Yeah Blade I’m impressed with Josuar Gonzalez as well, he definitely has tools to work with, very fast, good fielder, good OBP .404 in the developmentally league that the Giants gave him plenty of play!Only 18 wow playing against older guys and holding his own.Hes 6’0 tall but only 167lbs so could use both strength and weight ( maybe Pablo’s Mom can help him with that😋😂)probably start out at A Ball San Jose?
I wish it was 1973 again.
I have a feeling our minors will get a lot stronger now. We got the 4th pick in this years draft and that is sitting pretty good. You can never tell what the three teams ahead of us are gonna do.
Hey Loo good to see you on here, sorry about losing you losing your hand job Chinese establishment. Were the rates alittle stiff for the customers? Anyway Giants/Yankees opening day Webb&Cole? You planning on going to a game with any other east coaster from the Flap as well?

Hah!
Just watching the Giants, and Matos is still a clueless baserunner.
Dollars to donuts – he’ll be released. Good riddance. This is like his millionth chance.
I think Matos will make the roster Blade, he’s out of options and the Giants know he will be picked up by another team.Hes having a a really good spring ( albeit base running like a Ramos still coconut brains) but he’s easily better then Gilbert,McCray, and others who still have options.I do like Brennan looks pretty solid with a good glove, so we will see what Mr.V goes with but Matos he’s been impressed with I’ve heard..
We’ll see AK. I really liked him when he first came up, but his chances are running out. I will say I am not certain he is stupid or the coaches have failed him???
As Unca alluded to, him and the other rookies that go through our minor league system – frequently seem to be clueless about baseball basics . . . If a brain is like a computer, Matos and the rest of them must still be running Windows 95.
Funny about the Windows 95 reference Blade! I remember ( well I had to look it up getting old lol) the time back in 2005 wine. Larry Kruger ranted about Caribbean player being brain dead hacking at slop all the time, calling Felipe Alou a “Cream of Wheat”Manager, then Alou coming back and calling Kruger a “Messenger from Satan” KNBR eventually fired him part of that Racist comments.Forget if it was the Razor are someone else that got Closer Armando Benitez run out of town for being stupidly inconsistent.Anyway maybe their right the Latin players always have to prove themselves more than American players..
Yeah, the old adage was, regarding the DR, you don’t walk off the island, so guys were taught to swing at everything.
lol AK . . . I actually remember that.
Larry later sued and won a settlement with KNBR and now hes back working with them.
Wild. He can be a little over the top, but his stuff is pretty good.
And Tranquillo Doval is pitching for the DR right now. Looking pretty good.
Rosenthal needs to get a ladder when he interviews folks.
