We are at what really looks like a trap game in the extreme. 9-4 team vs 2-11 team? Of course that means nothing in todays’s NFL Anyone on any Sunday (or Monday or Thursday) can beat anyone.
Those are just the facts. How it goes today, who knows? CMC might be on the shelf, and really, I’d love for him to get a game off, but this souldn’t bee that difficult. But the Tuxedos put a hurt on what is supposed to be one of the toughest defenses in the league last week by beating the Brownies and ran all over them. A bit shocking to me, but like I said any team on any given day.
I just hope we don’t let Tenn hang around. Get on top of them and run them into the ground.
Off to the game. Go Niners!!!
Have fun. Never been to a Titan game, been to an Oilers game and that was fun. Yeah, I don’t take any game for granted anymore.
Hopefully no rust, I think if Purdy throws a couple of completions he will be fine. The D might be susceptible but I think Saleh will have them ready to go. As long as Kyle plays to crush them they will be fine
This is the problem with playing against a rookie QB late in the season, some get better with each game, now granted our D is not full strength but still. Cam is getting more comfortable as the season goes.
It is hard to believe this team is 10-4 when we are last in the league in sacks. This is a really good job of coaching this year.
Special teams
For sure Winder its been the SPECIAL TEAMS turnaround from their usual bottom feeders years to a near top ranked unit under Brant Boyer’s 1st season,it’s been remarkable to watch..
And also Happy 46th Birthday yesterday to Kyle Shanahan, major respect to the man that master minds this team!
All 32 Head Coaches take a rash of shit justified are not that the nature of the beast, but Kyle is consistently among the best in creating mismatches when others can’t..
Purdy seems all the way back. No issues with his toe (looked outstanding the way he was scrambling/moving in the pocket) and his throws were authoritative – lots of zip and they have not been this good since maybe the first game of the season.
Unca, Pearsall was great. I was going to call you on your comment to me about “separation” before the game, but this unequivocally proves he was getting separation. Anywho, we’re both happy about this development, right?
yeah hopefully Pearsall is OK and knee issues are something he can play through.
Jennings looked good too. Like others here, I am not missing Aiyuk.
Yeah Willie, I hope he is back soon.
Lowest-graded 49ers: Offense
It’s not that bad, what if we were raiders fans
Not sure what any of that means. The 49ers didn’t punt yesterday, got 430 yards, and held the ball for 37+ minutes. The defense is the issue.
But really, 2 of Tenn’s 3 TDs came in garbage time.
I saw Pearsall getting open all game yesterday,. Not so much the 2 games before that. Hope his knee is OK. He said ‘no big deal’ but you never know. He’s got to bring what BA did. And that’s the run blocking as well as the deep game.
Niners played great for 3 quarters, and then got real sloppy to finish up.
And Purdy’s fumble wasn’t a fumble. His hand was coming forward when it was knocked out.
New thread is up.
