Your San Francisco 49-IRs . . .

Well, another game, another raft of injuries. The latest IR winner is OG Ben Bartch. He got the career-threatening ListFranc sprain to his foot. This requires surgery and a long rehab. Juice (bruised ribs) and Nick Martin (concussion) both look to possibly be back from their latest injuries, so there’s that. And Gross-Matos could be back

Bartch has been on half-time anyway, rotating with Burford, but I guess Colby is next man up if they keep the rotation going. I guess I’m glad our bye week is this late, as it forces the Seahawks and Rams to play one more game down the stretch to the playoffs.

  • Seattle has: Atl (road), Indy (home), Rams (home), Panthers (road), and us (road)
  • LA has: AZ (road), Lions (home), Sea (road), Falcons (road), AZ (home).
  • 49ers: Bye, Tuxedos (home), Colts (road), Bears (home), Sea (home).

Sea has 3 (2 east coast) roadies and LA has 3 roadies (1 east coaster), we have 1 eastie roadie.

Anyone can beat anyone. Well, except for the Titans. We will hopefully be a little more healthy, and sitting at 10-4 after week 15.

12th, you gonna be at the Titans game? Gonna go to this one.

    RIP Steve Cropper

The old timers are dropping at a pretty fast clip now and have been for quite awhile. I think the music business has a lot to do with it. Even having lots of money you can only buy so much medical help and then it’s curtains.

84 is a pretty good run. Rock star or not.

    • Winder's avatar Winder says:

Tru dat. I will be happy to make 84 I mean if Joe Walsh and Keith Richards are still standing I should make it to 80 anyway.

Took the words out of my mouth Winder. Sheesh, I actually better get to 90, as I quit doing damage to my body in 1986. Dollars to donuts, Richards was still doing “all nighters,” etc., well into the 90s, 00s . . .

    This guy was a tragedy.

Wow! I did not know he could do so well with Jazz.

Bolin’s early Zephyr stuff is really good too. Very jazzy. Jeff Beck said he got his inspiration for Blow by Blow from listening to this. And of course talking to Jan Hammer.

      Helluva track, they’re flying.

saw comment in Athletic on Warriors game last night bout “Steve Cropper playlist put out by his family” that I will have to find.

Yeah just about all rockers were drinking and doing drugs. The one I was surprised at was Neil Diamond, watching the documentary The Last Waltz, and they were talking how Diamond came on stage with white powder around his nose. I laughed at that one

Just about all the fans as well!

Haunting last notes from Cropper on MGs version of theme from “Hang ’em High” are just beautiful.

Buddy of mine has a great story about Booker T and the MG’s.

His motto in life is “Whenever I see a line, I get in it.” He’s kind of an odd duck, semi-off-the-grid electrician-handyman.

He saw a line one day, jumped in it, and it was for Neil Young playing with Booker T and the MGs. Musta been mid 90s in Santa Cruz. Said the show was incredible.

Amazing stuff from a young Bolin.

Well, no help from Atlanta or Arizona.

LA and Seattle are 10-3. We are a full game back at 9-4.

Huh. Jeff Kent gets into the Hall of Fame. He deserved it for his great offensive numbers as a 2nd baseman.

Al-Shaair with the pick to end KC’s comeback.

I’m just thrilled beyond belief that Jeff Kent is now a long over due HOF player! He was as CLUTCH a player as their was at 2B leading all second basemen with 351 Homers(377overall) that alone should get you in.He was an RBI machine batting behind Barry , And his phrase at arbitration times was epic “The Money Lies with the RBI’s” was so damm true with Kent!! Congrats Jeff Kent one of my favorite players ever! Hey PS maybe you can have Barry as your introduction speaker at Canton lol 😂 🧡🖤⚾️

  13. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Yeah. Kent was a royal red-ass but he was as hard-nosed as they came. Loved the way he played the game.

    New thread is up.
