Happy Thanksgiving, Niner Gang!

Got the kids coming back to town so I’ll be leaving this one up for a few days, but give much love to you and yours this Thanksgiving. As we just found out, things can change suddenly and life can become very different, so make sure those you love know you love them.

As for the Niners, in the NFL’s wonderfully weird scheduling proclivities, we get a Monday night game followed by a 5 hour flight across the country to play an early Sunday game against the Shedeur Sanders-led Cleveland Browns.

Like this previous game, and a few others this is another low-level scuffling team in the Browns. But there are a few reg flags beyond the short-week-3-time-zone-early-morning game. Jim Schwartz, he of the Jim Harbaugh handshake-gate game, seems to own Kyle Shanahan to the tune of his 7-1 record against him.

Also, Sanders is a pretty big unknown to everyone, and he managed to beat the (clown emoji) Raiders last week, so there’s that. They have Myles Garrett, disruptor #1 in the NFL these days. Also, Cleveland and wind and cold and wet don’t seem to agree with the pickoff machine that Brock Purdy is morphing into, so that’s another deal.

Then again the Factory of Sadness IS 3-8, so something isn’t perfect. Their 2 big wins against the Packers and Dolphins are in their house, but the Patriots, Steelers, and Vikings smoked them, and the Jets beat them. I’d call this a trap game, but with the entire defense being injured (Sam O is the latest MIA with a high ankle sprain), just fielding a team that has enough players is a challenge in itself.

They live and die by their defense and just enough offense. so it is incumbent on Purdy to knock the hero ball shit off and take what he can get. I’d like to see this game turn into a run-fest on our side but Purdy cannot wing the ball all over the field like he’s Dan fucking Fouts. Play within the game and grind out a 24-17 win.

If Kerndricks has a pulse, he’ll be in the roster by Sunday.

Can’t say I’ve seen this video, but I saw the band a few times. Saw this tour.

All these guys are just incredible musicians in their own right. The fact they did 3 albums together was such a treat to see.

I tell ya, without music, my world would be much darker.

Hope the monsters running this country choke on a turkey bone. And I hope everyone else finds something to be thankful for.

Couldn’t agree more! The head idiot in DC is so stupid he thinks Daylight Savings Time is a bank.

At this point I think he’s being used as a diversion. It’s the next man up that is moving things around. Maybe next year we will be saying Happy Thanksgiving Comrade.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Shout out to Chuck for the thankless task of running a 49ers blog, much appreciated!

Yes. Safe travels to anyone going anywhere for Holiday and weekend. One of my basketball kids 8th grade boys, was headed to Hawaii so imagine they are safe and warm. Hopefully everyone else here is too.

Chiefs do NOT look like the unstoppable “juggernaut” of past seasons. Almost no deep passing game. Just very predictable on offense.

Super bowl loss hangover for the Chefs.

I saw pics of the Browns on the snowy practice field with more coming down. It’s going to be a sloppy game.

I never liked us playing the Browns even as a kid growing up. There is just something about that team for me. Even in ’81’ when the Niners were playing their best ball Cleveland comes to town and kicks our ass. To this day it was the worse game I ever saw Montana have it was cold and drizzly but not raining hard and he couldn’t do squat. I wouldn’t bet on this game.

just looked it up. we have only played the Browns 21 times and the Browns are 13-8 against us. I must have watched them beat us a few times as a kid even though I don’t remember them.

Quinnen Williams has transformed the Cowboys D.

People said trading for 1 player wouldn’t have made a difference for the 49ers. Wrong:

Quinnen Williams has significantly made a difference for the Cowboys, particularly in the team’s defensive turnaround after his trade deadline arrival. His impact is evident in improved defensive statistics, a higher level of production from other players, and his own leadership and accountability, which has raised the intensity and focus of the entire team. On-field performance: Since the trade, the Cowboys’ defense has allowed fewer points and rushing yards per game, and they have generated more sacks. PFF stats show Williams leading all defensive linemen in defensive grade, pressures, and pass-rush win rate since joining the team.Offensive line disruption: Williams’ presence has been so disruptive that opposing offensive linemen are focusing heavily on him, which creates more opportunities for other players like Micah Parsons and Osa Odighizuwa to make plays.

He was the 1 player worth the draft capital IMO and he’s not a 1 year rental. I’m still annoyed they didn’t make the deal for him.

Spilt milk and all that but still fair to wonder.

Niners didn’t bring up their shiny new LB Eric Kendricks from the PS, choosing to elevate LB Jalen Graham instead.

Yeah, I have a bad feeeling about this game. Quinnen looks pretty damn good. But with our luck, he comes here and gets hurt. But yer prolly right about that 12th.

Just got to hope we can run the ball. All about the mistakes and turnovers.
