Well, we are officially looking in from the cold in the playoff race. All that good will and great division a conference record just flew out the window with this demoralizing loss to the Rams.
Hard to win when your entire defense is nursing wounds, but here we are at 6-4, 8th in the 7-spot race.
Yeah, there’s a long way, but no, we aren’t getting Bosa or Warner back. Let alone Williams or whatever.
At least we are consistently inconsistent. After our 3-0 start, we are L-W-L-W-L-W-L. We just had zero answers for the Rams today, and the Niners started answering the shootout when we were down 21 points.
Say what you will, but the offense looked really good but for a fucking retarded 4th down call and JJ’s fumble.
I get trying not to give up a bog play, but how many 3rd down conversions do you have to give up before you just send 9 guys on a zero blitz?
Whatever. AZ just goit rolled by the Seahawks, but if we want to have any kind of chance to go anywhere this season, they have to beat the Cards. I don’t like our odds at this point what with the defense just completely overmatched.
What a glorious game! Santa Clara’s team got annihilated by the superior Rams. They were no match for LA, also know as Titletown. LA is dominant right now.
HAHAIHAHAHAHAHA!
Shutting the fuck up is gluten free. Why don’t you add that to your diet? You and LA have more problems than a math textbook.
In a way we all knew this was coming. Waiting to see what type of game we will play weekly is just about all we have and saying injuries are no excuse is just bullshit.
I don’t want sound like I have given up, but, with absolutely no defense I don’t see the Niners doing much better than maybe 2-6 the rest of the way. I will still watch every game, I would love for the Niners to win, but let’s face it, the teams that get into the playoffs have great defenses. It was nice to see Robinson get more touches, hopefully Kyle uses him more so that CMC is good to go next year.
Mac is playing really well. He missed Demarcus Robinson for a TD and threw a desperation INT, however he is playing to a really good standard. I don’t know how much better Purdy can expected to play given his injury and what will obviously be some rust. Although I believe Purdy has some more upside than Mac I would not put him back on the field until after the bye, which gives him more rest and an extended practice window to get ready to play football again.
An inconvenient truth. Robinson is running more effectively than CMC right now. He deserves more opportunities.
WordPress sucks.
On the D it’s time to roll the dice a little.
Give Nick Martin snaps on D, Gifford is getting toasted, not athletic enough. Martin might get burned but I don’t see him being worse than Gifford and he is very athletic, turn him loose a little, let him wreak havoc.
On the D line they need more push across all 4 positions, give Valdez some snaps on 3rd down, hulk can push harder than most. They almost let him suit up against the Rams but changed their minds.
It is hard to win in the NFL without a pass rush. The defense might look leaky but if we were hurrying up the QBs, our DBs would look like all-pros.
While this year is toast, we have a nice start to a good D-line. Give them a year to be more solid against the run and get Bosa back. We do need one more good pass rusher.
I was surprised how well our O-line looked by just getting healthy. The Rams can get good pressure on a QB and Mac had time to throw.
I think we will be a title contender next year. Of course, if we can stay healthy.
I would have done the Quinnen Williams deal.
This team isn’t trading 1s for a while.
Williams is better than any number 1 they have drafted except for Bosa and he gets hurt a lot.
Cowboys gave next year #2 and 2027 #1, Williams is under contract for 3 years, that’s a deal I would do every day of the week and twice on Sundays!
Williams would greatly improve the line instantly and once the D line rookies get experience it gives the Niners a formidable line for years ahead.
Best of all they would have kept next years number 1 to use on an O tackle, which the probably won’t do anyway.
No brainer.

Brendel OC played full game with 56 full game marks among 5 lowest pff. Matt Hennessy did not play. Burford as LG with 35 snaps was the lowest in low 50’s.
Bartch finished at LG for 28 snaps with overall pff of 70.2 and a high run blocking grade.
Offense wasn’t really the problem. Although Shanahan really screwed the pooch on the first 4th down play. Jennings fumble really sent things south.
The defense was just flat awful.
I go over to espn stats and per game pass yardage is Purdy (280), Stafford (269), then Mac Jones (268).
tell me what draft picks he will get us the week or two before draft day.
He’s at least a 2 now. He didn’t lose this Ram game,
Agreed and I would be surprised if Mac is willing to stay under contract with the Niners next year if Purdy is the starter. He deserves to start somewhere.
Yeah, we stand to get some good stuff for Mac.
FYI Rams have two 1st’s , their own plus Atlanta ‘s.
Yup. The Rams aren’t going anywhere. Seattle is drafting ver well themselves. And they were gifted Sam Darnold.
New thread is up.
