Lucky 7 ? ? ?

Out of town this weekend so I’m putting this up now.

Not sure how important this game is, but we need all the wins we can get when we can get them. At some point we’ll get our players back. I guess. Will they be able to win? Can we win now?

PS – Fuck the Dodgers

He was decent but nothing special in the Niners scheme but way too expensive to keep as a back up.

They 100% have to draft a projected starting tackle next year.

We’ve collected several comp picks for cost cutting needed to retain Purdy. With any luck BA will get more money off the books too. I can’t see Nick getting another deal in SF either which would add to the comp coffers too at some point.

I do see a big need on the Oline next April at both OT & C. Hoping they are going to address both positions.

Trade for a C and draft a T would be my choice NJ. Shanahan puts a lot on the C position to make the calls, I don’t see any rookie being able to do it.

Brendel has never been physical enough and this year looks even worse. It’s great he is mentally elite, but what’s the point if he recognizes what’s coming but can’t handle it?

What is irritating about th/e Oline is , how come other teams ca run and pass block. It is so bad that I have to watch other teams pass block long enough for the QB to get the pass off. And it did not matter if Bosa was in there or not. In my opinion the Niners should go to a 5 man front, at least do it occasional, it does not need to be an all out blitz. And they need to huge dudes in the middle that can pass and run block.

And the other thing is Kyle needs to be a little more humble, Issac Guerendo is in Kyle’s dog house, and he refuses to play him. Why?

    • unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

IG fumbles too much. I’m all for stacking the box against Atl. They are #1 in rushing. Our problem on defense is teams are usually getting good yards on 1st down and we simply give up too much underneath.

We aren’t healthy enough to play that way now. As I’ve said for 29 years now, I’d rather give up o e big play rather than 18 small ones. Force the issue on 3rd down. Playing soft just sucks. Mayfield’ scrambles was due to soft coverage.

I would like to see some 2 TE sets now we have Kittle and Tonges, just like they used to have with Davis and Walker.

Juice looks diminished to me and hasn’t been of much use in the run game or as a pass catcher so far this year.

Inject some energy with Kittle and Tonges!

Rookies Watkins and Martin both get to suit up today, primarily on ST I suspect, but again it injects some fresh energy.

Still no rookie RB Jordan James, he’s again a healthy scratch. Guerrendo gets no snaps either despite his pure speed.

It’s CMC who isn’t trusting his blocks (for good reason) and doesn’t have the same burst as 2023 and B Rob who is getting a yard more per carry than CMC and only got 3 opportunities last game.

    Shake it up Kyle.

Guerrendo is in Kyle’s dog house, with Kyle it is my way or the highway, so he won’t play him till next year if he is still on the team.

Well so much for the Niners easy schedule. Panthers, Browns, Bears all won today. As I write this the Giants are up 13-0 over the very good Broncos and the easy to beat Falcons (right) are on deck today.

    Let’s Go Niners!

  6. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

Yep the Oline playing as usual

  7. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

Can the Oline pass block at all?

  8. Winder's avatar Winder says:

These guys are making our oline look pretty bad. And I don’t know how long we can fool em on defense

  9. Winder's avatar Winder says:

We need to play the youngsters but it shows that we are out gunned. Pretty physical game so far i just hope we can catch their QB eventually

  10. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

I think the Niners had the ball for 3-5 mins in the 1st quarter

  11. Winder's avatar Winder says:

I don’t think Jennings should be out there

  12. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

Good thing Kyle didn’t put Jennings in the dog house

  13. willedav's avatar willedav says:

Right through Robinson arms. Would have been Jones longest completion tonight

  14. willedav's avatar willedav says:

Clutch breakup by Lucas. Now add to lead and run some clock

  15. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

    2 score game. Excellent

  16. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

    Resilient team

  17. willedav's avatar willedav says:

D held B Robinson to 40 yards on ground in 14 carries after he went off last game. He caught some passes but no longer gain than 15 all night. Gritty effort by Saleh crew.

  18. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Damn. This team keeps surprising me. Didn’t see the 4th quarter.

Lenoir seeems to be getting a lot of iffy PI calls.

  19. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Wondering when twat waffle comes to predict another loss. I see he posts at Flav’s as well.

  20. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

I’m interested to see how Hennesey grades out in place of Brendel at center.

  21. Winder's avatar Winder says:

that was an amazing football game we just might have some up and coming players. I missed the 4th quarter also but what I saw was a very fast defense that was playing tough. McCaffrey is amazing and haven’t seen us run up the gut like that since Gore. Fuckin 49er football

  22. Berger's avatar Berger says:

I didn’t see the game but I followed every play on my computer and lined to about quarter on radio. I saw a lot of highlights. Atlanta’s D-line is on the smaller side. We were able to get some blocking, plus, add Kittle. On the radio, our announcer complained about a bad call for PI on Lenoir. CMC’s 2nd TD should’ve been a penalty for pulling the runner toward the goal line. That is a 10 yard penalty.

I’m grateful that we have Mac Jones. I think we are better with a fully healthy Purdy but Mac makes it easy for us to wait until he is fully healthy.

    • unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Allowing the tush push has kinda negated any penalties around pulling guys downfield. I couldn’t really believe they allowed that TD but hey a rushing TD is a rushing TD. Grand total of 3 now this season!!

And we were 2/2 in the red zone!!

      A definite win.

    New thread

Lenoir’s getting ticky tacked to death. Guys get away with shit 3x as bad as the stuff Lenoir is flagged for.
