From a preseason that started with a raft of injuries has continued on to be a maddening trent with this team. 4 games into 2025 and we are at the top of this list. The preseason saw
- 2024: #1 most injured
- 2023: #29 most injured
- 2022: #9 most injured
- 2021: #3 most injured
- 2020: #1 most injured
- 2019: #6 most injured
- 2018: #4 most injured
The outlier of course was 2023 when we went to the Super Bowl and yeah, you know. So, what looks like a pretty solid start to the season has devolved into a giant clusterfuck of injuries and replacement guys. Our once-full WR room is down to Scantling, Robinson, Moore, and Kendrick fucking Bourne, whose drop led to the punt return TD.
The TEs are doing OK, minus the fumble last week. Derp.
The defense of course lost Nick Bosa for the season. So, our pass rush, while not spectacular, WAS getting a lot of pressures and hurries. Last week, not so much. Saleh has his work cut out for him to get Stafford off his marks and to keep LA off the scoreboard.
Yeah, I don’t know. The offensive line isn’t blocking well, the pass pro is iffy at best, and LA’s pass rush is one of the best, the pass defense is not getting ANY turnovers, pass coverage is spotty at best, and the run defense is shakey.
But every time I think this team is gonna smoke a shitty team like the Jags, they suck. When I think they will suck, they pull out a satisfying win.
Hah! 31-27 Niners.
That’s true for every QB we have. It has a lot to do with Purdy’s injuries and Garopollo’s before him.
I always expect to lose any close game when Bill Vinovich is officiating. He is almost as bad as Jerry Markbreit was in the 80’s. Today we beat the Rams and Vinovich.
Don’t remind me. He was in the bag for the chiefs.
It’s all about the fucking red zone. Those first 2 TDs were off passes and misdirection.
Last 2? run run fail.
What a game!
Rams pump in crowd noise. There were way more Niner fans and cheering loudly, yet when the Niners O was on the field the much fewer Rams fans were somehow louder, B.S.
3-0 in the NFCW is the best way to get a few extra days off. Still think Lynch has to deal for a DE somehow. This would be the week to do it.
BIG win.

I fucking missed the whole 4th quarter. All I know is the football Gods were wearing red.
NFLN will replay the game today Winder.
I’m planning to rewatch it too. My Prime feed was stalling all night and I couldn’t deal with it. Like I was on dial up. What a fukn joke
Caught the highlights this morning. Will rewatch the game today. Gotta say, Alfred Collins’ forced fumble saved the game.
BIG MAN BALL’n
Also, on the 4th and 1, last pay. A couple of dbs stopped the RB, then Collins comes in and pushes the entire pile backwards. It looked like it was probably stopped anyway, Collins made sure of it.
Collins is still a little inconstant, but he just keeps making his presence felt a little more each game.
Yes Lenoir told other DB (Lucas?) where they were gonna go and to plug the hole and rest of them would follow and stop it. Worked perfectly and Rams were toast.
Mykell Williams took the entire inside of the Rams line and pushed them down. The fact that the dbs came in and filled made me think that was planned and a timely call by Saleh. Mykell is a beast. watching him push the entire O-line inside was a thing of beauty.
I just looked at the play again. The play was for the over the guard. MW took the spot. RB adjusted out one gap, dbs were there. What I did not see previously, Fred Warner stood up the OT, allowing the dbs to make the play. LBs do not often stand up OTs in their spot. Warner is a special player.
Gotta love Fred’s helmet – mic drop too 😉
Pretty complete win in all phases.
TOP, S-teams & TOs, along with quick short routes to slow the pass rush. Very impressive.
You saw a great game last night 12th. Saw plenty of red.

One of the best ames I’ve been to NJ and that’s saying a lot. Electric game which I thought the Niners had very little chance in.
The crowd was supposedly 61% Niners by ticket sales, it was considerably more than 70%. 3 Red shirts for every 1 blue.
Sofi truly is Levi South and it’s more each year I go.
The stadium is really good but expensive even by NFL standards.
Parking was $100.
2 x 20 ounce domestic beers was $37.50 plus tip.
They 100% pump crowd noise, it’s total B.S.
When Mac got hurt he was down for a pretty long time and didn’t move at all, I know they cut away to commercials but doctors and training staff were all around him, the whole stadium was quiet and we thought he was done. Martinez was warming up on the sideline. Huge cheer when he got up and trotted off.
That game reminded me a lot of the 60’s Brodie led Niner games. Hard nose football. I also liked the way Colby was pushing some of the Rams around. i do believe we have a keeper there.
Dick Nolan never passed that much!!! It’s what bugged me about him.
He had Gene Washington and didn’t got to him nearly enough.
I thought the same cause Brodie could throw a pretty long ball.
Funny part was them cutting to Jones wolfing down bananas after the leg cramps.
New thread is up.
