Stupid is As Stupid Does – Yup, Purdy’s Out

This crack medical staff has yet again done wonders. Purdy got through the game but his toe is hurt again, so all signs point to Mac Jones gets the start. At this point it might be a good thing.

But, due to their ineptitude, Purdy likely sits for another game or two as he re-heals his re-aggravated toe. A fairly strong case can be made for giving Jones the start last Sunday as it was a non-division non-conference game, and isn’t nearly as important as the Thursday night Rams game, but alas, here we sit, broken QBed.

The following are questionable:

  • Jennings
  • Pearsall
  • Purdy (out)
  • West
  • Green
  • Winters
  • M Williams
  • Gross-Matos
  • Beal

Sweet. We are losing the battle on both sides of the line. No run blocking to speak of and no pressure on defense. How this shakes out vs the Rams looks to be scary at best. Shanny has a way of fucking with McVay, but with this many guys out, it’ll be hard. No idea when these guys will be healthy. As Shannon Sharpe said, you don’t get healthier as the season goes on.

So, Kittle, Purdy, Jennings, and T Williams, all the guys that got their big paydays are either hurting or out. We are counting on rookies and 2nd-3rd stringers to win going forward.

I guess our offensive genius, who’s 29th in red zone effectiveness, will have to do something about this moribund offense. And who knows? Maybe we get a quarterback controversy out of this if Mac can pull out a road win.

Would love to know how bad the toe is

Turf toe is a sprain of the metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint, the joint at the base of the big toe, and is categorized into three stages based on the severity of soft tissue damage: Grade 1 involves stretching, Grade 2 is a partial tear, and Grade 3 is a complete tear of the supporting ligaments, plantar plate, and capsule. Symptoms progress from mild tenderness and swelling in Grade 1 to severe pain, bruising, and restricted movement in Grade

Yeah it does not look good for the Niners. The way they looked against the Jags, I would say they are going to have a losing record. Maybe 7-10.

The greatest Devo song that Devo never did per Mark Mothersbaugh.

Shanahan seems to have a track record of fucking up against weaker teams.

If this game goes south and the Niners get trounced, it may very well sink the season. And as I said before the season started, if they don’t make the playoffs Shanahan at the least may get tossed.

Hard to pin this on Lynch but he may get caught in the crossfire.

I like what we’ve done the last couple of drafts It’s just that no one stays healthy. Unless we get fully healthy players back 7 wins just might be stretching it.

Yeah, with all the injuries I was really hoping we’d be 4-0 come this road stretch vs LA and TB.

    Pearsall and Jennings out.

Someone call Jerry. So we have Skyy Moore and Demarcus Robinson? Oh yeah, Valdes-Scatling.

    Watkins is out as well.

You’d think after these last few years of injuries, they’d try to change things.

    But apparently this is fine.

The Rams are going to take these red and gold wimps and stomp them into oblivion.

I’m going to the game but I figure it will take something of a miracle to get a win.

    Rams 24-14

Yeah, they need to try new things. Our current run game is going nowhere.
