Pats put Strange on the cut down pile. I liked him in Mobile a few years back.
Cole Strange among Patriots’ cuts as they get down to 53 – NBC Sports https://share.google/ByWpyDHWHErGmoLEc
Well that was fun. Next 48 hours will probably be interesting too, We probably have most of our PS already accounted for for the most part.
Robbie Chosen released, Brandon Aiyuk to PUP as 49ers reach 53 players – NBC Sports https://share.google/IJdsrXQGQPwLx0FSP
little surprised about chosen.
and we need a punter
and a 3rd string QB
Any news on Puni? $45 mill QB, better have some protection
Zakelj and Dunn were both waived IKev so I suspect Puni could be close to ready.

49ers could be ‘next up’ for Marquez Valdes-Scantling, per report – NBC Sports Bay Area & California https://share.google/VP2W20P3ZqvihjODZ
Obviously ARod being in Pittsburgh would be an attractive destination.
U called it. 6’4″ 206 30 yrs old
Maybe he’s gotten tired of chasing ARod all around the league? Snow and cold weather is pretty similar between Buffalo and GB.
Probably just sick of the cold weather 😄
Good news. DT Sebastian Valdez signing to PS despite other teams being interested in him.
Surprised he made it back to the Niners, promising guy and arguably was the best D lineman in the pre-season.
Yep, we got MVS.
Thought for sure we would have had KBourne on the radar. Wonder if Pat’s were holding us hostage and MVS was plan B?
Patriots will release Kendrick Bourne – NBC Sports https://share.google/hrXPtG3dErh8otBwI
Maybe it’s still an option?
Source: 49ers have ‘high interest’ in Kendrick Bourne if released – NBC Sports Bay Area & California https://share.google/X3iRzEFQlNVdSW0dW
FAT MAN IN THE MIDDLE CLAIM 😎
49ers claim Jaguars defensive tackle Jordan Jefferson off waivers – NBC Sports Bay Area & California https://share.google/OUZTok7utM6sFRsbV
None of our waived players were picked up by anyone. But yeah, we got Jordan Jefferson.
Fat man in the middle!!
6′ 3″, 315 lb.
Did we sign a punter?
Seattle picked off Chazz who Saleh brought over from the jets
We coulda had C Willie Lampkin as well. Undersized but he’s pretty tough.
Hmmm.
Yeh Chuck me too. Philly grabbed him. Cole Strange is still on my hit list. Haven’t seen him get claimed yet.
Waiting to see if Jerruh can pull another fucked up contract blunder out of his ass with Parsons. Big Duh and all.
49ers sign 13 players to practice squad with 53-man roster set – NBC Sports Bay Area & California https://share.google/vr2x1F1da01qR67MT
Still have an international player spot available. Maybe there’s an Aussie K out there we haven’t heard of yet?
Swap Shaky Jake for some unknown thunder down under ringer?
49ers practice squad, waiver wire tracker: QB Adrian Martinez to the PS | Niners Nation https://share.google/tWHQwK3TA139Vgdtx
Here are the 13 Practice Squad guys. Glad to see Valdez and Gipson back. They did some stuff in preseason.
CB Eli Apple
WR Junior Bergen
DL William Bradley-King
S Derrick Canteen
WR Robbie Chosen
DL Trevis Gipson
LB Jalen Graham
OL Drake Nugent
LB Curtis Robinson
WR Malik Turner
DL Sebastian Valdez
TE Brayden Willis
OL Nick Zakelj
Looks like Evan Anderson was the victim of the Jefferson claim.
Saw him on the waiver wire.
Anderson had run game skills but nothing for pass rush. Saleh wants both all across the line, all gas no brakes where every position is a threat to hit the QB.
All 4 of the rookies will need to develop pass and run game skills to lock down a place on the starting line. Right now only CJ West looks capable. Valdez needs more time, Williams we haven’t seen enough to know and Collins needs a lot of work on his pad level to improve his pass rush.
Kalia Davis looks healthy and improved, he can make a difference this year.
Saw a piece saying MVS was signed to the PS. Wonder if that’s saving a roster slot on the 53? KBourne still an option?

Jerruh loses the standoff and an NFC rival gets Parsons.
Cowboys trade Micah Parsons to Packers for at least two first-rounders – NBC Sports https://share.google/3QrNgfltzZ6sHQFsv
Hah!!!! Dallas blinks.
Thing is, Parsons is overrated as fuck. He is a shitty run stopper and vanishes in big games.
Dallas actually looks pretty good with this deal.
Hate to give Jerry a thumbs-up, but two #1s AND Kenny Clark?
The Packers are notoriously soft on defense so maybe this helps them.
But at a very high cost.
And GB well surpassed Nick’s contract on top of it. Parsons ain’t no Bosa.
Sure, 2 1s is decent enough if you were dealing with a team that typically doesn’t make a playoff run consistently. GB is also in the NFC which could present another hurdle. Those picks will help but, are likely to be in the bottom third of the RD.
Add the prowess of Jerruh the GM to the mix and I just can’t see much upside for Dallas to find a gem unless he packages picks to get higher up the board. TBD.
Look how bad we were, dealing Charles in the NFC and, giving away 3 1s for Lance.
The Haley trade pissed me off to no end. I get Lance but it sure backfired.
This is just a mind-bogglingly lopsided trade for a guy who really isn’t that great.
He padded his numbers in the weak-ass NFC East.
And Jerruh the Ace of Stupidity in the NFL GM circles thinks he just pulled off the Herschel Deal 2.0 on top of it. Jimmy built a team with that deal. Jerruh might get a reach-around if he’s lucky.

I kinda like the new black and red unis, but then wtf do i know since I also like the Giants creamsickle unis.
As much as I hate Dallas I think they got the better of the deal. Just have to wait and see what he does in GB
hope we get Bourne back even though he’s been hurt also
Jerruh screwed the pooch by circumventing Parsons’ agent.
As a quasi GM, with zero football IQ, he couldn’t comb Jimmy’s hair by comparison to the Herschel deal.
Sure, he got Clark and a couple of 1s but he’s still got to get after the QB. Maybe he’s got a shot to pry Hendrickson away from Cincy or a comparable move now but, he’s lost the preseason already.
GB just reset the market with the deal they gave to Parsons too.
NJ- I guess we just disagree. As with a lot of Dallas players Parson’s while being a very good player he’s also a showboat. I’ve seen him wear his emotions on his sleeve. With the money he’s asking I think Dallas made the right decision.
I also hope they strike the fuck out on both the 1st rouders.
Time will tell Winder.
Agree with you that Parsons isn’t top shelf in terms of talent and GB may have overpaid. Boils down to Jerruh being in over his head with Cap management skills and alienating the agents that dictate the business of football.
Jerruh fukd himself by meddling directly with the player and overpaying Dak IMO.
Yeah, this deal could end up hurting both teams. I jut think Parsons is gonna get hurt like so many other hold out guys.
Look no further than Aiyuk and others who didn’t condition themselves properly and ended up injured Chuck.

This is absurd if true. Maybe he’s pricing himself out of job? If they can move BA they might be able to shift some money his way but, if KBourne comes aboard Jauan might be SOL?

I would love to see someone take BA off of us. Juan just priced himself off the team
I am really looking forward to watching Mykell Wiliams play. His college film was fun to watch. Your rarely see a guy with good pass rushing skills play with such great leverage and balance. He stuffed the run as well as any D-End I’ve seen. He has a chance of being a dominant player. When he had somebody lined up to tackle, there was no escape.
If Williams can set the edge consistently, I’m all in. Bosa, for all his greatness early on, struggled with holding outside contain. He would crash hard inside and give up outside runs regularly.
Color me wrong for not valuing AA more than I should have. He was very good at holding his ground on runs at him. Same with DJ Jones. Although I appreciated him more than AA. Our interior D was flat awful last year.
And Leonard Floyd was invisible setting the edge last year.
Throw in the blandest defensive scheme since Vanilla Ice Cream Nolan and there you have it. the 28th ranked defense in points allowed.
that inside pass rushing by Bosa is a defensive scheme. I hated it. Bosa is great against the run.
Parsons is as good of a pass rusher as there is in there NFL. He could not stand up to the run. This is proof that pass rushers get paid, run suffers, not so much. funny things we paid a lot of money for pass rushing D-linemen last year but couldn’t stop the run. We ended up with only six wins as teams were able to control the clock and beat us at the end of games. I’m glad to see we changed our strategy for this year. It could take a year to get these run stuffers up to par but I love the philosophy. We have plenty of pass rushing DEs. Bosa is a great pass rusher who stops the run. We’ll see with Mykell.
I am excited about Williams too. It will probably take a few game to gel as long as we can stay somewhat healthy.
It’ll be real interesting to see how the team does early on with the WRs we have available.
They could very well move on from both BA and JJ if Pearsall and Robinson light up the scoreboard. Cowing may be the next Danny Gray/Jalen Hurd.
I think our WR’s will be ok it’s probably gonna depend on our OL. We do have quite a few ol bodies floating around our roster.
New thread is up.
