still traveling but here’s a new thread.
I cannot believe the amount of injuries and we are 3 weeks away from real games.

I see this Season starting with lots of motion and ground attack.
Our OL is going to take time to adjust to the new system, however, a WCO should help them once Alex and the WRs get into the necessary rhythm.
Game 1, lots of Gore and Hunter, 9ers win a close one. I do expect Harbaugh to take some deep shots though, VD and Braylon will be a nice duo.

Gameday.
First drive Purdy and Pearsall were on fire.
Yeah but just the opposite for Jones who’s thrown 2 picks in 2 games! Better pray Purdy stays healthy all year 12th..
Jones got easily baited by the safety
So far 9ers run game is dismal, Raiders has been decent.
RB Kiner has a nice run and goes to the ground after the play with a left leg injury, that’s a tough deal for him, he was looking good for a roster spot.
Unbelievable Kiner breaks off a 19 yard run now the cart comes out for a left ankle injury and Puni leaves the game with a knee injury? He’s the best OL besides Trent at 37 yikes..
I didn’t see the Puni knee injury, that’s concerning.
Moody miss wide left 53 yd. The hot seat got hotter.
Freaking Moody is another major concern such a headcase as he jerks another FG left right from the kick no chance..
Puni got rolled up on the 1st field goal.
Kiner is out.
RB Taylor Jr is questionable to return with a shoulder.
ST looked competent which is a huge improvement on last year, right up until the inevitable Moody miss.Yes it was a long FG attempt of 53 yds, but he missed it by a country mile. Time to cut bait IMO.
Chase Lucas INT!
2 pre season games in a row this guy has flashed.
how is LG connor Colby doing. Supposed to be best at run blocking.
Also Andre Dillard put on IR. Any good news on oline play?
Colby and Moss both doing ok, mostly ups and some downs. RT Prince not doing well so far.
Moody barely made the 26yd FG, I think he will be gone.
Interesting that Shanahan went for it twice on 4th down inside field goal range which tied the game.
Colby looks better at pass pro than run blocking IMO
RT Prince, 3 false starts and beat like a drum on 3rd down.
I do like RG Moss.
I was hoping DT Valdez would shine today but mostly quiet.
LB Martin had a better game.
Lol Moody with a career long game winning FG, I guess he lives to fight another day!
Think we might to want retract Jake Moody getting cut..4-5 FG’s the game winner of 59 yards as the clock expires is a real boost for his confidence.Heard he’s taking only 2steps and drilling ‘‘em now? Who knows?
Puni has a PCL, out 2 to 3 weeks, looks like they dodged a bullet.
Kiner has a high ankle sprain, return unknown.
Read a comment on 49erswebzone which stated Aireontere Ersery OT drafted 5 after the Collins pick will start for Vikings. Also another undersized short armed OC Hennessy fell on Puni’s knee. So this the bottom bitched backup of the bottom bitched undersized short armed Brendel.
At least value at low cost makes the owner happy. Jed , for a few bucks saved, just dodged a bullet with an IR’d Puni.
Read earlier from conehead that we don’t use the full 3 hours of training camp warmup for training camp making shanny the reason for the high soft muscle injury rate.
Niners have a full 2 weeks off after their last preseason game so Puni thankfully should be ready for the opener imo.Kiner not as good imo high ankle sprains are the worst, longer to recover from..
Did like Pearsall&Purdy connecting on 3 throws, along with Robinson looking impressive even if a possible suspension coming they need him with all the injuries,at both WR/RB getting hit hard..TE Farrell nice 18 yard catch as well, you never saw much of that last year for a backup for Kittle..
I fully expect we have at least two major injuries with the Charger game.
Berger Opines! Today’s D-line did not look good. It was like I was watching last year’s team. The O-line was OK in pass pro, terrible in outside run blocking. Tongas blocked well as the H Back. Purdy looked good. Pearasll looked good. Looks like Sigal could be starting week 1. Albert Collins is playing way too high. Martin looked much better. Winters looked good. Moody scares me. Nice to see him get the 59 yd FG at the end. Whoever #60 was on the D-line, he had a decent game. Outside of one bad decision, Mac Jones looks pretty good. Special teams was below average.
60 was the pickup from a few days ago. 6 ‘3″ 295 thanks but no thanks. Kocourek alert, all your attention on getting Collins starter capable on week 1.
I see Collins as an impact player, just not this year. I don’t think he will start this year. He did have one really good impact play today. He pushed a double team back toward the QB. When the QB went to throw, he had to pull it down because Collins jumped up and put his hands up. When the QB pulled it down, somebody else got the sack. Tall interior D-linemen just take more time, but the rewards are often worth it.
We had a chance but injuries to key people
derailed the dream. Picks 1 and 2 need snaps to develop and need their training camp extended into September and become our D studs.
Just cannot rely on a healthy TW and Bartch for the full season on O. Play and in season development is job 1.
Whatcha gonna do? He’s Shaky Jake..

Seems like we were trying to get Metchie and Philly took him.

Some rumbling about OBJ being on the 9ers radar too. Given the state of our WR room even a headcase like him might not be too farfetched.
I gotta wonder if Shanny is hoping to see Neyor on the cutdown list in GB? Watched him vs Indy this weekend and he’s a big boy. Didn’t see much from him in the production department but I’m sure they’d like to get him back.

All this hype about Harbaugh and Lance as though its important. I don’t care about either of them, they are not Niners anymore. I’m interested in Shanahan and Purdy.
I’m guessing this 3rd game the Niners will still put some good NFL caliber players out there, both because of how many players are injured or being held out and because there are still a half dozen or more starting positions that aren’t decided yet.
A much more interesting off-season this year because of the uncertainty. I’m hoping for no more injuries this game.
I watched the battle of LA and thought Lance was pretty average.
Throws a decent deep ball but remains anxious to run first. No biggie to me either.
Just a reminder of all the wasted picks we gave up for nothing.
no word about Bartch yet so if not in game then keep Purdy out
A slight surprise they cut RB Kiner who looked promising. He does have a high ankle that would have kept him out for a while but I’m guessing they will try to sign him at a later point in time for the PS if he’s available.
Larry Krueger will have a cow, Kiner was who he thought was RB 2 behind CMC.
Well…
They signed another Oline body. See where this goes.

WR Cowing came back from his hammy and hurt it some more. He was a 4th round pick last year and I would say he is nearing the end of his time in Red and Gold, kid can’t stay healthy.
Do we assume a lot of running the first 3 weeks?

Oh boy. I guess this is looking to be a throw-away year as everyone gets hurt and we have no O line or offensive weapons.
New thread is up.
Martin had a good game at LB. Collins, yeah. getting pushed around pretty easy on those run plays and not gettting anywhere on pasing downs.
Shit, then Martin misses an open field tackle.
