Almost All is Well . . .

Have to thank the fucking Houston Texans for throwing a wrench into the signing of Alfred Collins by offering their 2nd round pick WR Jayden Higgins a fully guaranteed 4 year, $117 million contract. Thus altering how teams deal with their 2nd round picks.

So much for just the 1st round picks getting guaranteed deals. And so much for slotting money by draft position. Oh well.

Interestingly enough, of the 40 picks that are unsigned, 30 of them are 2nd round picks, and only 2 are 1st round picks. The biggest commotion is around Shemar Stewart, the 1st round pick of the Bengals. The Bengals, who are cheaper than the Oakland/Sacto/Vegas/Oakland A’s, are trying to force Stewart to sign a deal that voids some of the guaranteed money in his contract.

This loophole has been there, but it is something no one else has tried to force a player to sign.

And of course with that happening, the blogosphere is awash in speculation that the 49ers should try to pry him away from the tight-ass Bengals. Something like a 3rd and 5th round pick to get him.

Sounds great, but I don’t think even Cincy is that stupid. I don’;’t profess to know, but really, Cincy’s defense is ludicrously terrible despite Trey Hendrickson and his 17.5 sacks (oh yeah, he’s holding out as well!).

I guess it would be cool to get him for a bag of donuts, but let’s sign our 2nd round pick before going fishing for another, uh, fish.

I have looked but couldn’t find anything about Collins not signing his contract. I hope he doesn’t get an attitude about this shit.

It’s all about the guarantee that Higgins got.

19 other guys haven’t signed either.

Give me Trey Hendrickson book end paired with Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams would be right up there with “Vontae Mack Matter What”

Bungals wrapped up their offensive stars Burrow,Chase&Higgins now want to low ball their best Defensive player a sack machine right there with Myles Garrett ?

Lynch better talk with Posey on how to make a deal happen lol 😂

Unfortunately for the 49ers, Collins looks more like the next Javon Kinlaw right now. That’s because Collins is injured and hasn’t practiced with the 49ers yet this offseason. Apparently, he reaggravated a calf injury during his Pro Day, the 49ers knew about it, and drafted him anyway.

Criminy. Consider the source. Cohn is a douche nozzle of the highest order. Worse than his dad. They can both fuck right off. He’s looking to stir shit with every fucking post. Citing him for anything is like citing a tick for blood tests.

Jesus. A calf pull is a little less worrisome than hip surgery and chronic knee tendonitis, eh?

Collins played in his last 40 college games. Kinlaw has missed almost 2 seasons of games in his 5 year career.

Shanalynch hurt us bad with that incredibly stupid Tre Lance trade. Those two botched it again with not trading Aiyuk in his contract year. Last year was a strong OT and WR class. You and I were open to some kind of combo trade to bundle the high risk Aiyuk to jump us ahead of the Ravens for that last 1st Rd quality OT. To reward the repetitive Shanalynch stupidity Aiyuk got a major injury.
