Ney How ! ! ! Warner Extended !

For once they decided to put the horse in front of the cart by getting ahead of the game and signing Fred Warner to a 3 year, $63 million extension. $21 mill per, and $56 mill guaranteed.

The reason this is noteworthy is because his deal didn’t come due until spring of 2026.

So for once they got ahead of the game and signed someone important a year early. Yes, he’s the highest paid linebacker, but come next season, his price will likely go up.

Get some O line help and I’ll be more than thrilled, but they have made me pretty happy this offseason.

Both Warner and Kittle are the backbone and character of the Niners. And should both be on the 10 year wall with these contracts. But, I think the new sheriff in town is gonna be Purdy, it is his team now. Hope Aiyuk will come back around. ST can’t come soon enough.

Fucking wordpress in their infinite wisdonm has fucked with posting vids. Again.

Yeah I have been having some problems with them also but I think it’s mostly me. I am sick of Google and don’t trust their site like I used to. my safari doesn’t want me to post any video’s and neither does bing. So the only way I do it is go to google but they don’t want to do much of anything live that’s when I get just the URL. I will try one.

Huh. Now you can post vids and I can’t.

good article but this OL is really lacking. LG has often injured Ben Bartch and undersized matt Hennessy (combine 6’4″ 307 with 32 1/4 arms).

Purdy contract details emerging. In real terms it’s a 2 year $115 million deal presuming he’s still on the roster April 1 2026. If they cut him before April 1st 2027 then that’s it for the money.

If he’s on roster on April 1st 2027 he gets another $55 million making it $165 million over 3 years. The way it’s set up is the team wants to keep him for 3 years and then rework his deal before year 4 kicks in.

In reality it’s a hard 2 year deal with an easy 3rd year tack on, after that it’s meaningless.

there is a lot of real guaranteed money for injury which considering his size and already short history is concerning.

As for the no trade clause, that’s pretty meaningless. If the 9ers don’t want him nobody else would assume that large contract, untradeable, like BA.

Team friendly that’s for sure. 2 years with an opt-out.

Something that will be very obvious which way to go one way or the other by then.

It is amazing what the money people can do with contracts. Lots of people were up in arms about the 53 mil contract when in reality he gets 41+ mil this year and 47 mil in 26. Very team friendly. Pretty sure they will rework something out after that in what ever direction we go.

It’s true that he gets $88 million his first 2 years, but he also is guaranteed to get $27 million more for the 2027 season whether he is on the team or not.

This is not a cheap deal. It’s $57 million per year for the first 2 years in real dollars regardless of outcomes. It averages less if he plays on the 3rd year and much less if he plays all 6 but the poison pill for the Niners is the cap hits are huge starting year 4 so they will have to rework his deal at that point.

Brock won the early money part of the negotiations, where the 9ers won is the real length of time of the contract. They can cut him after 2 years and it will cost them $27 million to do it unless there is offset language.

I have read so much stuff about this contract I don’t know what to believe anymore. There is also a factor with this year also in that we were gonna pay him something like 5 mil if the contract didn’t pan out and my understanding is that it is really a six year deal. That will have to be reworked before year 4. But once again I could be wrong.
