. . . and we have Jac Mones as our starting QB. No one seems to be too put off by the Purdy negotiations, but the recent past says otherwise. Grant Cohn of course is leading the retard charge saying he’s worth $35 mill. Or that the Niners will trade him to Tennessee on draft day.
You know. Things that will never happen. Say what you will about Purdy, but $35 mill? That’s in the Baker Mayfield/Sam Darnold neighborhood. Apparently his agent wants $60 mill, because Jerry Jones is a moron, and Dak. The guy with 2 playoff wins in 8 seasons. Purdy has 4 in 2+ seasons, ergo . . .
No, I don’t think he’s gonna get $60 mill per, but his line should be somewhere around $55 mill. If the team is dicking around over 1-2 mill like the fucking shit show with Aiyuk, then they are dumber than they already are after that, Deebo, and Williams to name a few.
Other than that, there’s the draft to consider. If ever a team needed a draft to bolster a team’s success, it is this one. They’ve offloaded a bunch of talent (money) and signed backups and special teamers in an effort to (supposedly) be able to SIGN Purdy. Well, it’s dragging, and likely will drag through the draft.
Which means they’ll likely spend a pick on a QB at some point. Hopefully a flier like Brock was, but I don’t want them wasting a higher pick on a QB. They need OL, DL, Safety depth. CB depth, WR depth, and RB depth.
So naturally, they’ll draft a TE with the 1st pick. And this after getting Kittle in round 5.
That Snoop Dogg song was pretty cool. Never heard that.
He was at the Napa Bottle Rock show a few years ago, and it consisted of Snoop playing other people’s songs and talking about them with a little bit of rapping thrown in. Weird.
His cooking demo with Martha Stewart was hilarious though.
we need some of that spirit now.
Kenneth Grant!
Re: QB, did I read something that Kirk Cousins has joined the Niners? Or was that a rumor or an April Fool’s joke?
almost dumb enough to be true!
Haha, yeah that’s what I thought…
Grant looks like the real deal, Bergs.
Pitching and defense wins championships. Our defense is great. Will the pithing hold up? That’s the key. So far, so good. We’ve got some bats, I hope it’s enough. I love the attitude of this team.
Yeah, I don’t remember pitchers getting so many injuries like they do today. And last year defense was one of our biggest weaknesses. I am loving the way this team has been playing the Giants are fun to watch again.
I apologize. I read Giants and not Grant. LOL!
Damn, you come home after a successful road games, and now you forget how to pitch and field? For me I would not have signed a 42 year old pitcher. They didn’t learn anything from their experience with Zito
Zito was 29 when we signed him. No comparison.
Verlander is a no-brainer. I usully don;t like these one-year deals, but it is perfect for Verlander. Dude’s a pitching coach. He’s already paid dividends for Birdsong and Harrison.
Shit, he may pitch as long as Ryan.
Not if he can’t get out of the 3rd inning.
Put this kid on the radar Berger. Might find him in RD 3/4 if we’re lucky.
Sorry Chuck . Not what I intended.

Hah!!! A bag of things . . .
The IQ level almost approaches 3rd grade.
Looks like the Geno deal lowered the APY for QBs. Semantics perhaps?

Jed has already put Purdy in the top 10 so… Now what Jed? Surround him with rookies and hope for the best?

Just pay Purdy and get it over with, I am sure Parrage(sp) can lesson the pain somehow. Good QB’s just don’t happen for us anymore so get it while we can. This team had to get younger and now it’s going to, we still have enough playmakers on offense to score some points. The kid is a football player and not a diva.
This is my first option at 11.
James Pearce Jr would be right there with him.

Aldon Smith? We need a fucking Buckner someone they have to double team every time.
Edge rushers are tougher to find IMO Winder.
I think the run stuffers are more plentiful this year. Might see them opt for a DT too. We’re going to find out soon.
Run stuffers are available in the middle rounds. What makes Kenneth grant different is that he can pass rush too. He would be like Vita Vae with some pass rush added. I can’t say he would be as good as Vince Wilfork, he was the best ever NT, but that is his comparison.
I would love to see us take a run stuffer at 11 but after the Kinlaw pick I’n not sure how they rate these guys all I know is we need one badly. I think we should make our first 4 picks all D-linemen. We can pickup what we need after that
Is it just me or has sports illustrated tuned into to a total rag. Every time I read there stuff it’s just clickbait.
This kid is on my wishlist too but I don’t know if 11 is feasible. He likely won’t make it to RD 2.

Could expect to find this kid further down the order.

Kinlaw slid down because he had an injury and was still recovering. He spent his whole time here recovering. He had a very good year last year after he finally got healthy. I want to just draft healthy players. I love your thinking about 4DL! I have aways said, defensive lines win championships.
Good crop of DTs to pick from Berger.
https://www.nfl.com/combine/tracker/top-performers/bench-press/dt/2025/
I liked Kinlaw and at the time I was glad we picked him also at that time I didn’t know he was recoveringh from a pretty serious injury. While he was here he was a humble player who tried to make it work and I am glad he finally had a good year.
I still don’t know if I trust our process of 1st rd picks. We cannot screw this one up. NJ-pretty sure we go edge with #1.
Kinlaw was known damaged goods. It was a very bad decision to let Buckner walk.
They thought they could replace DeFo on the cheap but it faield miserably. And we have been trying to replace him ever since.
SI 49er coverage is Grant Cohn. Utter garbage.
‘Nuff said.
My thoughts as well. Kittle is an exceptional blocker and had no help. Luke should take some heat off George.

Blake Snell on the IR, shoulder inflammation. Last year redux
Yeah I picked in both my fantasy teams. The way he finished the year and being on the dogs I though he was a pretty sure thing. Once again Wrong.

Yeah ugly personified. Just wrote a post about the Adam Peters effect.
New thread is up.
