You gotta have something if you want to be with me . . .
I guess all we have left is for Jauan Jennings to get to 1,000 yards and surpass Deebo as our #1 guy. Until BA comes back or dies trying. Pearsall had a nice game getting open as Kyle seemed to figure out overnight how to scheme players open. Orrrrrr, Deetroit is doomed to a one-and-done playoff scenario since their defense is so decimated with injuries.
Seeing as we laid a pretty heavy whupping on them, for a half anyway, Minnesota looks to out up a 50-spot on them. Their defense actually dials up pressure, so they look to have the advantage.
If Deetroit doesn’t get the bye week, they are doomed to an early demise. Especially if they play the high-scoring Rams.
Us? I hope we play our usual game of being close for a while, then shooting ourselves in the feet 6 or 7 times for the loss and the 11th pick.
Some early talk around possible 1st round steal, Michigan’s DT Christian D’Andrea. Big at 325, and fast, he woulf provide a solid push up the middle and is a great run defender.
Funny thing is, a lot of other mocks have us taking his line mate Mason Graham.
I’ve always liked the BPA approach. In this situation either OL or DL makes sense. DL is probably a deeper pool talent wise but might be the safer choice at 1? Not every OT faces high-end edge guys in college whereas every DT gets mauled inside.
This kid has also shown up in our mocks –

Tuned in to see Ersery only to find he opted out.
PJ Fleck runs our system so I have to assume the connection to Ersery comes naturally.

This is a piece of Puni’s bio. He’s played both T positions in college. Go figure? He might be the McKivitz replacement in waiting? Move McKivitz to LG?
University of Central Missouri: Played four seasons at UCM…Earned honorable mention all-conference honors in 2019…Started all 13 games at left tackle in 2019 for the Mules…Played in seven games as a true freshman in 2018…Started the final three games of the 2018 season at right tackle.
Anything to get McKivitz off the edge.
This season can’t end soon enough for me because once it does I can start having some hope again. Like it has been my whole life whether it’s baseball or football I will never change my stripes but when the product is pretty much un-watchable i do just that. This off-season for both the Niners and Giants they seem to be in a much needed revamp imo. I will be glued just to see the moves we make. After so many years I feel I have reserved the right of being an armchair gm/hc/owner. The hard part is mind over heart. In both drafts what ‘I’ think is the most important aspect is how the player attacks their position and how far they will take their mindset. So who can really tell who makes the transition from collage/minors to the pro game? Scouting and coaching to me are the most valuable departments for any team. We shall see.
From an article in NBCsports Bay Area, f***k just ask the fans
The 49ers will study what occurred this season to find the root of their issues, Lynch said. And that includes the personnel department figuring out which players should stay and go, and which plays to pursue via free agency and the draft.
The root of the issues, you fing have had 17 games to watch, if you don’t know the issues your blind
Like I said in the preseason, I hated this defense from the get-go.
ST was a disaster from game 1. And they do the same shit for 18 weeks expecting different results?
If Eddie D was running this team, they would have been gone by week 5.
That’s what really fucking irritates me.
Christian D’Andrea??? is a sports writer Chuck so I doubt the 49ers would draft him..
For me if either one is available it’s OT Kelvin Banks are DT Mason Graham that would be a great start.Graham would be a great pick replacing Hargrave who’s going to be cut..
OL /DL should be the top Priority first 5 rounds atleast , time to get younger with bigger beef on both sides, are a LB in case they move on from Greenlaw ( hope not dudes a baller but health issues curtailing his career now)
