Game 13 – Playing for Pride

Until otherwise noted, this team is playing out the string. Will they respond? Can they respond? I still think Shanny’s head is in the nooose should the team lay down like dogs and lose to the Bears, among others.

The team appears to be all-in still with Shanahan so that’s something, despite Kittle’s questioning why he was only targeted twice last week. Curious to say the least. Only Jennings is putting up numbers. Deebo is really disappointing as he has done nothing before or after the injuries. And wer are back to Guerrendo as our lead back.

The defense? Fuck it. They appear to be happy with simply giving up 350-400 per game and not pressuring anyone. Weeeeeeee! Why change what is broken? Maybe we’ll miss a few more FGs to boot.

The Niners don’t want to pay for a great offensive line, who else would take one of their top offensive players and keep him in to block.

  2. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

    Yeah, pretty stupid.

    Bosa and Williams are out.

Hufanga, Lenoir, and Elliott are in.

I hope the run D improves.

I really have no hope if we keep playing this passive defense.

Deebo is not the same player. Scheme be damned, feed the productive players, Jennings, Kittle and Guerendo, which they have been doing so far today. Let’s not get cute, do it until they stop it.

  3. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Gee. Quick passes? Nice adjustment. In week 14!!

  4. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Some energy on defense as well.

    And how bout them Giants?

If they can now land Burnes, they’d be in decent shape. They appear to be in there for him.

  5. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

Let’s see if they can continue that play for 60 minutes

  6. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

And the injuries just keep on coming

  7. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

Jennings = Beast. Best WR this year and in my opinion he was last year too, just underutilized.

  8. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

    A Purdy audible? Nice call.

  9. Winder's avatar Winder says:

Wow. Nice for a change. Hope it lasts.

  10. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

We will get to see if Kyle puts this game away,

  11. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

This will be the tell, 7:00 minutes left before the half, if the Bears go 3 and out, will Kyle just run the ball or will he stick to what is working and score anther TD to put the game away

  12. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

My bad, posted out of sequence:

Deebo is not the same player. Scheme be damned, feed the productive players, Jennings, Kittle and Guerendo, which they have been doing so far today. Let’s not get cute, do it until they stop it.

Defense has shown up Bears 9 total yards!

21-0 and I picked up Guerendo and he’s going off 15 points already.. Jennings 2TD’s and Kittle doing his thing today..

  14. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

Uh-oh, the D giving it up again?

  15. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

The Niners need to respond now and score again

  16. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

The second half appears to still be a problem, if the Bears score on their second possession we will know the Niners haven’t fixed it!

  17. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

The offense came to play and win. I am not convinced the D is fixed

  18. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

    d looking soft again.

  19. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

that turnover was a 14 point swing.

  20. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

Kyle needs to keep scoring show other teams the Niners aren’t going to sit on a lead, make them afraid. With that said, Kyle will probably run more to use up the clock.

  21. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

    fu I. Now Guerendo’s hurt

  22. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

First game I have seen Kyle put the game away. Hopefully he understands he needs to do this every game, whether the Niners ar 8-8 or 10-4. Just score every time

  23. 12th Man's avatar 12th Man says:

    5th string RB scores!

  24. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Rams 4th and5 and the bills don’t blitz.

    Dumb

  25. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Well, at least it was convincing. Looks like we lost Guerendo though.

Win the Ram game on Thursday and we will see, but we got no help from AZ or Buffalo.

    Oooops.

  26. Locojuan's avatar Locojuan says:

Don’t care how or who, we needed that win

Short week, still gotta beat the Rams

  27. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

I got to thinking that I think Kyle was embarrassed by the last two games. He finally realized he need to score and not worry about the clock and the opposing team get the ball with time on the clock. Just score so you don’t have to worry about the clock

  28. Irish Kevin's avatar Irish Kevin says:

Funny how I called out the Niners for keeping in one of their best offensive player to block. And today Kittle goes off

  29. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Soto gets $765 over 15 years from the Mets. Woo.

Pete Alonso and Burnes and we are good.

Crazy. Chiefs stagger to another win.

  30. Winder's avatar Winder says:

Glad to here that Dick Allen and Dave Parker will get inducted into the hall of fame. They totally deserve it. Baseball got it right on this one.

    • Winder's avatar Winder says:

They played at a time when the game was real and pitchers could send some chin music just about anytime they wanted.

  31. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck says:

Dave Parker was a bad ass. Same with Dick Allen. Those 70s Pirates were great.
