I just don’t know anymore. Sooooo many things piss me off about this team and it mostly has to do with the coaching staff.
Offensively, Jordan Mason was tearing up the league his first few games while CMC got back onto the field. Naturally, the offensive genius head coach eased him into games, and let him get acclimated while the stud replacement kept on ticking.
I kid of course. Since CMC has returned, Mason has 9 carries. 3 in the last 2 games.
Defensively, our vanilla defense that is giving up 3rd downs like Girl Scouts give out cookies was naturally revamped to get more pressure on the QB, especially with Nick Bosa hurting.
I kid of course. We run our base 4 man defense no matter what the situation is. 3rd and 20 from their 15? Oooh, let’;’s give up a 23 yard screen pass. The ONE TIME we blitz was the complete wrong time to do it, with Geno Smith scoring from 12 yards out with time running out.
With the special teams unit being the worst in the league in FG kicking, punting, kick coverage, punt coverage, and forcing our kickers to tackle, losing us a couple games in the process, naturally we fired our ST coach and promptly got a new on 4 weeks into the season.
I kid of course. We still have the same guy and the same problems.
Sure, we have injuries, but as these games go on, nothing changes. The 49ers have been out-schemed and out-played just about every 2nd half. 3 more blown plays and this team is 2-8. Sure, you could say we are a few unblown plays from 8-2, but the fact remains, this team is cratering in these 2nd halfs as Shanahan tries to no avail to finish a fucking game. He goes into panic mode/run the clock/throw too much/what the fuck do I do?
He plays to not lose and isn’t winning.
Beyond that, the coaching staff is asleep at the controls.

Yeah, this was weird. When Seattle stopped us on 3rd down it brought up a 4th and 6. Seattle called time out and we lined up to kick. Seattle then called another timeout. The The 49ers should have gotten a 5 yard penalty after Seattle called 2 timeouts in a row. With a 4th and 1 we mighta gone for it.
I actually thought is was a 15 yard unsportsmanlike call, but still, the refs just swept it under the rug and started the clock after that and didn’t explain a fucking thing.

Yeah I was pissed about how the Seahawks were allowed back to back TO and the second one wasn’t even the coach calling it WTF that’s not allowed it felt like a Chris Webber moment! Refs totally fucked up and should of known the rule and moved it up 5 yards for a penalty and then the 49ers go for it, though the way the offense was putrid they probably still would of screwed the pooch..

Maybe so Chuck but both Harbaugh coaches have it better then us this season as the record’s prove out.Ravens just a powerhouse all season with a #1 offense under MVP Lamar Jackson and the Chargers under “Khaki Man” has a top notch defense and a QB in Herbert who’s starting to heat up after a slow start with various injuries he plays through ( dudes a remarkable gamer)
The “Harbaugh Bowl Game MNF will be more exciting than the 49ers getting crushed by Packers in the snowy tundra with a jacked up shoulder (Purdy) a hip/ oblique (BOSA) Kittle (hammy) Trent ( ankle) I’m hoping they can show some FIGHT but I’m not to optimistic in this one and then Lions next week “As the late Bill King would say Holy Toledo”
Buffalo, but yeah I get it. I haven’t watched SD enough to know what they are doing offensively, but I’m sure Jimbo is using Herbert’s arm to go deep.
Baltimore is very odd. They’ve been beaten by 2 of the worst teams in the NFL. Then they look unbeatable. KC hs been dodging bullets all year. Neither look fantastic but one should be in the Super Bowl.
Deetroit does look like the team to beat this season. I fear we have blown our window. I just have no faith in this coaching staff to do anything different, let alone get better.
