A game like this should be fairly easy, but I think we struggle. A positive last week was we didn’t commit the usual boatload of penalties. No turnovers. As ever these are key.
Then again I really don’t know much about the Vikes defense other than DC Brian Flores likes to mix up coverages and he blitzes a lot. They lost Hunter and got Van Ginkel?
In other news, trade Brandon Allen to Miami for RT Austin Jackson. I don’t think Tua is gonna play anymore.

This went just like I thought. Shanahan was terrible with the play calls. This defense is untenable. Soft. Way too much confusion on the back end led to 2 TDs,
yeah, we played terroible today. Even Purdy just stood there and got sacked his first two years he would have scrambled out of some of those.
My issues before the season were poor line play, the soft defense, and special teams.
None have been addressed.

Shanahan is brain dead, i.e., I’m not saying I hate him, but I would unplug his life support to charge my phone. My bad . . . You’re correct (didn’t see the subsequent Viking FG at 6 or 7 minutes before the game ended and got distracted at home, until the end of the game, i.e., still thought it was 20-14 Vikings).
This was one of the worst coached games Ive seen out of Shanahan. Add to that the defensive scheme is such a waste of our talent.
We FINALLY have a pretty deep secondary so naturally we don’t push the pass rush like we should. We are in a perennial prevent defense. DeMecco Ryans routinely blitzed Warner. He’s a destructive force on blitzes. But no, we drop him into coverage so we don’t give up the big plays. Well, except for the 97 yard YD.
