Thing is, they have actual weapons in Justin Jefferson and Aaron Jones. They did lose WR #2 Jordan Addison. So, as usual, the pass rush is essential. Even Sudden Sam can look good given time. I’ll lay off the defense for the near future if they can hold up against a better team that has a solid line and a decent RB. I still don’t like the bend-not-break aspect of this but hey. Maybe we can just beat ’em with our base defense and never do anything risky. Like a stunt. Or a blitz.
Hate to call this a trap game, but this game worries much more than the Jets game did. I think Minnesota has a good young team that could ver well cause us problems on the short week.

Ricky “Running” Waters is one of the best fan friendly players I’ve met. He stopped eating his lunch, even though I told him there was no rush, he insisted and signed a 49er helmet for me as well as taking pics and talking about his time as a 9er. He said Steve Young is his boy when we talked about Steve trying to get Ricky to stay and I honestly believe the 9ers would have won back to back SB if he had. The organization screwed the pooch with that decision.
Great player and great person. I’ve met a lot of players over the years and he’s one of the best.

CMC is on IR as expected. Minimum of 4 games without him.
With Mitchell done for the season and CMC gone at least 4 games that amazing RB room is suddenly pretty thin.
