A Rousing Start to the Season

Entertaining game last night as the fucking Chiefs, who seem to have Baltimore’s number as well as ours, won their game by half a toenail as Isaiah Likely had the unlikely fate of stepping OB on the game-tying (or possibly game-winning) TD as time ran out. Balt was lining up to go for 2 as the replay wonks got a look at Likely’s big toe being over the line. One toe over the line, sweet jesus, one toe over the line.

In even more important news, Taylor Swift refused to sit with Brittney Mahomes as apparently she is a Trump supporter, and The Big Swifty isn’t. Oh what strange bedfellows and all that . . .

And, there’s a football game in Brazil tonight? There’s no turn unstoned for Jolly Roger and the greed machine that NFL Football is. But, hey, there’s football tonight! 5:15 even, on the west coast, as the Green Bay Packers face off against the Philadelphia Eagles. Should be another great game. I think the Eagles are overrated as fuck. This is a good test of their reality. Nick Sirianni is very much in line with Jim Harbaugh in that he’s a whole lot of bluster and bravado without a lot of football smarts.

But that’s why they play the game! Should be fun.

This always makes me laugh. Gail and Dale on Lawrence Welk singing about getting stoned in a train station.

Another wild game. 15 penalties and no defense by GB or Philly.

And the ref has lost his voice.

Just goes to show that the 1st game of the year is rarely played cohesively by either the teams or the fucking refs. Love made some pretty good throws and then got wild for awhile, same with Hurts. Neither team impressed me.

Nice. Yeah, that was a real sloppy game yesterday. Love looked iffy. GB should have had a big early lead.

Allen gets the 2? CMC has an achilles issue? Too early for this.

Seems like Jordan love dodged a bullet looks like he didn’t tear his ACL in left knee at the end of the game, but more tests will be done once back in the states..

I Called that KC/Balt game! Mahomes totally OWNS Ravens and Jackson 5-1 now 14 TD’s 3 interceptions in those games..Still a great game, Mahomes said after game maybe Likely should wear white cleats from now on.

How does Baltimore get called for the new rule about lineman being equal to the center but KC lineman didn’t. And not one holding call against KC. I watched some highlights of last years SB, Bosa was held on Almost every play.

The Ram, Lions game is a thumper. The Rams are looking a lot like the Niners.

Passing the ball stats are down good read below

maan, all i saw this weekend was short passes up the ass. And teams played it very tight.

Looks like teams are trying to copy our offense from a couple years ago.

I hope we look downfield more.

But of course that is predicated on our O line. Which i don’t have a ton of faith in.

And, there are a LOT of shitty QBs starting this year.

  10. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 says:

I’m actually worried about this game the Jets have 2 great explosive players in RB BreeceHall&WR Garrett Wilson and of course Rodgers. The Niners with a rookie DC in Sorenson may get exposed by Rodgers experience and look for Hall to get plenty of screens the Niners don’t defend well.Hall had 76 catches last year along with explosive runs and could break a big play anytime, along with Wilson.

And if CMC with Calf/Achilles is not going well, then it’s Mason time who’s solid but not CMC and the Jets Defense is elite up front and in the Secondary!

Aiyuk maybe on a limited play count? Williams back and will be out there ( hopefully not to much rust) makes me feel better but the OL ( hoping Puni starts) is still a question mark ❓

Go Niners it’s opening day! Should be an epic game.Let’s Roll ❤️💛🏈
